But the registration wasn't painful and in fact was pleasant That's right: pleasant. That's because I went to Easy Smog Test Station for my smog certificate AND my registration. They did the smog test and for $20 extra, registered my Toyota. The entire process took less than 1 hour. There were 2 cars ahead of me. I had a seat, read my book and enjoyed the breeze. I came here on a weekday morning to get a quick smog check. I was out in about 20 minutes. He sent in my info the DMV and I had the option of renewing/picking up my sticker there for another $20. My sticker was lost in the mail last year and I didn't want to have to deal with waiting for my sticker to arrive (or not arrive) so I opted to fork the $20 for piece of mind. Picked this spot off Yelp reviews and ratings and because I needed a STAR CERTIFIED spot. Local spot by my house so that was a plus. Went on a Saturday morning and it was busy, but the couple running the place were friendly and fast. Was out of there in at least 20 minutes. Did not pass my smog test that day but I was told what I needed in order to pass next time and a retest within 30 days, which helped. $58 for the smog check and $8.25 fee for that retest (paid in full so I didn't have to worry about it next trip). Came back Tuesday morning and passed. Would definitely recommend coming here if you need a quick smog check. This place helped me out so much! read more

Very nice guy, I couldn't check into yelp when I got there but he let me have the 10$ discount anyway. Try your best to check in because the last guy would charge people 60$ then pocket the 10$ and say people received the discount. It said a lot about the guys character when he told me that story. He doesn't want the reputation of the last employee but was willing to risk that to help me because I couldn't get my phone to check into Yelp. A+ service in my book. read more
