This place looks like the basement of a house that's trying to have a nonstop Super Bowl party. The "decor" is plain, gray, and cold, and the TVs everywhere are a little much for such a small space. We've been a few times over the last couple of years. The most recent time was earlier this year, when the rule in IL was that you had to wear a mask at all times, especially indoors. But for some reason our waiter declared himself the exception to that rule, as he was NOT wearing a mask. It was unsettling, but we were there with a couple of extended family members, and didn't want to make a big thing of it. But it wasn't exactly what we were expecting from a business. So I have all the good things to say about this one place except for one time I decided to eat in. The food is amazing, I LOVE the pizza (both pub and deep dish), the pepperoni rolls were awesome, and the beer was cold. The problem that I had is that there were 3 gentlemen sitting at the far end of the bar vaping in the bar while talking to the bartenders. I just can't give a place that will let the happen without any repercussions 5 stars. We went to Easy Street last weekend and really enjoyed it! Our group started with taco nachos that were addicting. The pizza was fantastic - great bread-y deep dish crust and cracker-thin crust also. We liked the Hawaiian jalapeno thin crust pizza and enjoyed the good sausage and sauce on our deep dish pizza (I just had the leftovers for lunch...). There were a couple of other options we have to come back for - the sandwiches look really good too, and I've heard good things about the burger. Good beer selection and a nice set of craft cocktails. My only complaint was that service was a little slow the night we were there; the place was pretty busy though so that might have been the reason. The indoor space looked nice, clean and comfortable, and they kept the old icebox coolers from when it was the neighborhood dive. Got a pan style pizza with mushrooms and onions the first time, and tried the BBQ chicken specialty pizza this time. Both were good, but could use slightly more salt, and I'm someone who does not like a lot of salt. The BBQ pizza had chicken spread on the entire pizza. I was very impressed! Even the smallest pizza is actually quite large. Both times we took a box home. I would suggest ordering smaller than you think you need. The mixed drinks are also great! Ordered a pizza and salad. They Delivered to the wrong house. Once they realized that, we had to call them they said they would send some new food but it would take an hour, we agreed. After another hour went by we called and were placed on hold, passed around to different managers who ultimately told us that the delivery driver was coming in to wait another 15 minutes. We called back after 15 minutes and there was still no food, again they passed us around and kept us on hold, ultimately to tell us that the food was possibly lost in transit. Food arrived earlier than expected which was nice. Pizza was still nicely warm but not overly hot when delivered. No problem with customer service overall. Putting aside the incorrect order and less-than-preferred amount of sauce, I was very disappointed with the pizza. The sauce that was there had done flavor but not much. The pepperoni had almost no flavor. And close to the edge the crust wasn't crispy from being well done but was highly chewy instead. Typically when I think of fresh basil on a pizza I think of strips of basil like on a margarita pizza. Instead the basil was finely minced. Noting inherently wrong with that but it became hard to find basil flavor. The mushrooms tasted, felt, and looked canned. It's easy for pizza places to put far too cheese on the pizza. Fortunately, Easy Street didn't do that. Overall, I'm highly disappointed and can't recommend East Street due to getting my order wrong and then on its own merits the pizza that was delivered being lackluster-at-best. On February 23rd, some of my co-workers went in to tell the staff we would be having a large gathering the following day. For the most part, we had a great time. We had an issue with the ONLY waitress for a Friday night. She missed bringing a few things we ordered. Then when we were ready to leave , we went to pay our bill. At that time, I hear her tell the manager that she told us she could not split the bill. She never advised us that she couldn't and seeing her lie didn't make her very trustworthy. While I am speaking with the manager, the alleged bar manager decided to ring in on the conversation. He felt he should have a say, when he had nothing to do with it. He did mention that he went above and beyond to accommodate us. I asked him how so? And the response was that he did his best to keep our group together. Last time I checked when you go to a restaurant/bar you generally like to sit with your party. So idk how that was going above for us. Maybe he felt that way because the bar manager was inebriated and confrontational. I felt insulted and management didn't do ANYTHING to resolve the situation at all. We have gone there a few times and never had such an experience. But as a group we decided we won't be going again. Just disappointing. I have been here 3x in the past month, thats how good this place is. Review in short: its a typical sports bar theme, AMAZING food: thin crust pizza, wings, chicken sandwich, COOKIE SKILLET (oh yes, you must try). Long review: We were in the area and heard it was new so we decided to check it out, its a sports bar and very much feels that way when you walk in. It was nice out so we decided to sit on the patio and order some food and drinks, bonus they have TVs outside so you can watch the game on the patio. The patio is full of picnic tables with plenty of seating, they have lights strung across the top which gives it a nice ambiance at night. It's really laid back which I love, it has a nice relaxed, stay here for a while, kind of vibe to it. Our server, her name was Sara, we've had her a few times already and she is awesome. Even when it was just us out on the patio she always made sure to check in if we needed anything and fast when we did ask for something. The drinks come out quick and correct . We've had their spiked lemonade which is very tasty, you wont even realize how its hitting you until you stand up haha, as well as the babe rose that was on special the other night. Okay for the food, the shining star of this place is the kitchen. Everything I have had here has tasted amazing! The thin crust pizza is crispy without being too thin where it doesn't fill you up, the cheesy is melty, it always comes out hot to where you have to let it cool till you can take a bite. The chicken sandwich we had buffalo style. Flavorful, juicy chicken, it taste like the real deal, the wings are the same. Everything is incredibly crispy here in the best way possible. You can hear the crunch of the bite of the wings even the sauced and tossed ones. I recommend the bbq sauce, buffalo, or the memphis dry rub! And the big finale, the skillet cookie! They load this thing up with ice cream and whipped cream, the center of the cookie is still hot and gooey, its sweet, chocolatey, creamy, and just perfect. It's a must try if your into that kind of thing (and all the best people are). Anyways, I highly recommend checking this little spot out.
