    Pan Seared Whitefish
    Melody C.

I'd give the food 4 stars, but factoring in the views I'm giving it 5 stars. I was here on two different nights and had the pan seared whitefish and prime filet. The whitefish was excellent, the texture was flakey and the outside was nicely seared. The filet was solid, although I asked for medium and one of them was more like a medium well. The food here tends to be on the salty side, especially the potatoes and chicken soup, but that's how I like my food so it didn't bother me. The view is great, you can see Chicago in the distance. Note that there is a 3.25% charge for payment using cards, and there is a sign saying that you need golf or "proper attire" to eat here. I don't know what they mean by that, but I was dressed casually in floral shorts and a white t-shirt on Sunday and Monday night and had no issues.

It's a hidden gem. I always pass the golf course and see the sign . I called so me and my wife could have a late dinner. They were very nice on the phone and in person. The dinner was excellent I i had the blackened chicken gnocchi with garlic bread very tasty. And could leave with out a piece of tiramisu. My wife loved that it was a chilly night and we got seated next to the beautiful fireplace.

Today was my first time actually visiting this place. It's a hidden gem, and it easy to pass through because you think it's a golfing resort....but it's more than that! The inside is so clean and nice with waterfalls, and the restaurant is actually upstairs. My brother and I went to go eat outside on the patio. Bonus: it's dog friendly!! We were able to bring our pups and they enjoy the fresh air. It got a little to chilly, so we ended up ordering our food to go. Our waitress was great, and super nice to our dogs. We ordered the wings, crab cakes, and bruschetta. Next time, I'm def trying the lobster ravioli.

    Amazing Dessert!

The calamari batter was too salty; the sauce kinda spicy. We asked for regular marinara & was told they didn't have any other type

Service was slow food was sub par. I ordered the lemon butter Farfalle with Shrimp. I had to send it back as the meat was undercooked.

It's been over an hour and I'm now waiting in the car on a not so busy Tuesday night, for my husband to wait for our food, still...... it was pierogi, a sandwich and coleslaw. Not even a well done porterhouse takes this long . Not only that, the staff did not apologize, did not offer something for waiting an hour (not since our arrival, but since we ordered food). Don't come here in a hurry. We won't be back . A nice tip, pierogi shouldn't take an hour or look like they been swimming in a deep fryer that hasn't been cleaned for a month. Also put your fried foods in paper bags instead of styrofoam wrapped in cellophane to keep the oil spill from leaking out ! It Keeps things crisp, costs less, and is better for the environment.

Well, I came to Yelp and Frankie V's popped up. Crazy thing, we do our grocery shopping across the street from Frankie V's! So we had passed it many times. We were warmly greeted by the bartender Natalie. She was awesome! It was full at the bar, Sunday Night Football so totally understandable. We sat in the booth. The booth was comfy and cozy. It's a cool spot, total "Cheers" vibe. We had our mind on fish sandwiches but the unassuming owner, Martina came by and greeted us. Then she gave us the rundown on what was the best items. EVERYTHING here is homemade, made from scratch! Loved that! She sold us on the special, 8pc chicken (the whole chicken), fries and an XL 1-topping pizza for $39.00. Well we got it and boy that was THEE BEST fried chicken I have had in YEARS. I mean YEARS! Literally fresh and dripping hot juices everywhere! It was seasoned to perfection! So good! The pizza was INCREDIBLE! It was a great crust and the flavor was amazing! The fries were good! Home cut, I could tell! We delighted in our meal! We look forward to returning soon and trying the fish!
