Not the best, but it's not the worst. It's average. They have a variety of foods. Just about anything home cooking you're craving, they have. Flavors are like eating at a school or hospital cafeteria. The best things were the chicken tenders and the rolls. The cakes were kind of melty, but it was 10000 degrees outside and the dessert display is closer to the door. Service was great. Staff is very friendly. It's very casual and family dining. I mentioned to the waitress she should complete and filled the napkin holder after her shift had ended. She mentioned that her shift was ending and she is leaving for today, and insisted to reach across our plates to grab and fill the napkin holder. I mentioned to the witness take the napkin holder to another table and complete her task go to an empty table. She grab the napkin holder and slammed it down. Restaurant smells like old people/bodies. Restaurant had an odor at the time we visit. Ventillation and circulation of fresh air is recommended . Wood Grill is a great asset to Benton! Every time we go, we bring a big family and they are always accommodating and the buffet area is always clean and fresh! We love when Wood Grill caters events were at as well! They are very professional and the food is great! Don't sleep on the salad bar either! read more

There was a horrible smell in this place. It was grimey and dirty feeling. When I got up to get food they left a nasty dirty wet rag hanging on seat of my booth. Hardly any of the food tasted decent. This was probably the worst place I've ever eaten besides the fish. The staff however, was very sweet. read more

Food was horrible, undercooked, overcooked, bland. Chicken strip was only edible item and I tried a bit of all of them. Instead of all you can eat....it was all you can do to eat it. I give it 3.5 stars. Some things were good others not so much. Catfish and hush puppies were the best part. Kind of pricy for what you get too. They have the standard buffet items salad bar, main dishes, Mexican, and just random dishes oh and a dessert section. The fruit didt look fresh Side note the women's bathroom is tiny! read more

First, I need to explain that this is a Buffet, and I am not usually a fan of buffet style dinning, however this place is great. My Dads favorite place to go... when I say favorite? We went today for lunch and the food and service were amazing! Very helpful staff and very clean facilities. The selections were great- from sirloin steaks to chicken to fish and Mexican options, plus an enormous salad bar and dessert bar complete with cookies, pies, ice cream and cotton candy. The only area I saw that the management could improve were by adding additional registers and doing something to keep the tables and benches from sliding all over the place when people moved on or out of the booths. Other than that, this place was great. The steaks were seasoned well and they had no problem putting out some rare steaks when we asked. The burger sliders and mini hot dogs were big hits with the kids. I wanted to try the Mexican options but by the time I was done with the proteins and salad, there was no room left. My kids were ecstatic that they had a cotton candy maker and a chocolate fountain for marshmallows and strawberries. The price was good too- kids 3 and under eat free! For our family of 6, it was just over $60 which is extremely good considering everyone left with full tummies and big smiles! We will definitely come back! Good job to all! read more

Went today for late lunch (2:00pm) place was filthy, especially the restrooms. Fried chicken was bad greasy, steak was ok. Meatloaf was tough with some nasty red gunk on it. How do you get a tough meatloaf? Bread pudding was dry. Not worth the $20.00 per person. read more

This was a really pleasant surprise. They have a huge selection of food, and most of it was spot on. The only complaints were that the mashed potatoes and gravy were both salty, and no one should be subjected to their mac and cheese. Whoever is making that needs a new recipe. I had high hopes for this place as I did not care for Western Sizzlin. That slapped on a new coat of paint but I feel the good is the same as before. I will say the staff was friendly and attentive. They had a larger selection than before but it was cold and way to salty. Tasted like someone turned the salt shaker upside down on everything. DARK GREENS lovers, they have so much spinach and leafy greens you could go home stuffed from it alone. Very complete huge salad bar. Chicken salad is actually savory, no sugar on it!!! So it's the tuna salad!!!!! For the Keto crowd, there's plenty of meat without sugar. For everybody else there's lots of ice cream and desserts. Overall, things were really well done and FRESH!!! I was very disappointed when Western Sizzlin closed its doors. I was, however, also very pleased to learn that the Woodgrill Buffet would be taking its place. I was eager to try it, so my wife and I went to lunch one afternoon. We really liked how they had remodeled the inside and had taken the very distracting TVs out of the booths. We were pleased with the good variety on the buffet. The food was good - your basic buffet food - not home-cooked quality, but good. The prices are a bit high, in my opinion - $9.99 lunch, $12.99 weekday supper, $13.99 weekends. I couldn't see anything to justify the extra dollar on the weekends, so that was disappointing. The service is very good, and the place is clean and neat. The buffet was always well/stocked and the hot foods were hot and the cold foods were cold. We'll visit occasionally for lunch. Supper, for us, is not a good value. Weekends are definitely out of the question for us. read more
