FINALLY! Been hearing about this place for a while by my best friend's family. When my BF came up for my birthday we finally made a point to go and what a birthday treat. All you order is your drink. I had two, and while the first was a bit too bitter for me, the Tea'D up was perfect and can only be described as the coziest drink I've ever had. Then comes the 5 course tasting menu. You're asked if there are any allergies or dietary restrictions because things can be altered. You can add a wine pairing for $55 which is a great deal. And for $118 per person for a tasting, you definitely get what you pay for. We did do an upgrade for a foie gras. Please don't judge me, this will probably be the last one I have. It was worth it though... Each course I can do on and on about. There was so much thought and detail to each dish. It really was so very special. Finally, the bathroom. You all know how much I love a nice bathroom and this one was sleek, clean and just overall was one of the greats. Definitely coming back for a special occasion.

Hidden Gem with Unforgettable Food & Service! I finally got to try eatMOSAIC--after driving past it countless times, I had no idea what I was missing! It's a charming, cozy restaurant with absolutely incredible food and top-notch service. We started with wine and cocktails. The experience is truly unique with way too much food for me. Instead of handing us menus, our waiter described what the chef was serving that evening and asked about our preferences and dietary restrictions (I requested no raw food). Each of the 5 course meals was a delightful surprise. The soup? Probably the best I've ever had--lemon chicken pea with fried eggplant, halibut, and onions. My girlfriend had sashimi in hers and she loved it. The farro salad was another standout--so flavorful and fresh. I also really enjoyed the turkey dinner, and while bison isn't something I'd normally go for, I was too full to try it by then (maybe next time!). Dessert capped the night perfectly--just wow. We went midweek, and it was quiet, which made the evening even more intimate. This review should truly be a four star but the food is delicious. A small suggestion: it would've been nice to receive a printed menu of what we were served--it's a lovely keepsake, especially with such a unique dining format. The waiter disappeared after the check, so we missed out to let him know we enjoyed the meal or a chance to ask for a printed menu. Still, I highly recommend this place. It's an amazing, custom culinary experience that's well worth it!

The service from the moment of arrival is warm, welcoming and accommodating. The staff and chef went out of their way to ensure that our 30th anniversary was a night to remember. Every dish told a story. Picturesque and simultaneously yummy! There's a sense of "play" at work here that takes the seriousness out of a fine dining experience and elevates it to a culinary adventure!

Very unhappy with my dining experience the last time I was there. It seems there's no organization regarding dinner guests after closing. I didn't even get to finish my dinner and I left before even seeing what the dessert was. The owner acts like a hypocrite preacher. Never coming back.

After asking around on FB for a Chefs tasting type experience dinner for my husband's birthday, we settled on eatMosaic. Many people on the thread had recommended it. Now i also HIGHLY recommend it! The service was awesome and paced perfectly. We had a cocktail to start and the server let us sit and chat over our drinks before getting the food train going. We never felt rushed which is important IMO. We added the wine pairing to our dinner which was VERY well chosen and explained as part of the experience. The food was all very fresh and tasty, things I wasnt familiar with and some that were very familiar but prepared in a new way. The portions were large for a 5 course menu, so my advice is to pace yourself, I was barely able to eat the last savory course, so def save room All this and on the way out the sommelier (?) gave us a bottle of wine to take home. So nice! We will definitely be back. Need to find out how often then change the menu.

Wanting to celebrate a special occasion, my girlfriend and I chose eatMosaic after reading about their 5-course tasting menu. We made a reservation for 5:30pm, which ended up working perfectly. The small and minimalistic interior was quiet during the early stages of our evening, growing more and more full of people and conversations as the night grew on. The staff were warm and professional, but there were hiccups along the way. At the beginning of our evening our table was brought another table's drinks. Later on, our third course was presented to us only for another waiter to come by moments after we had begun eating to apologize that they had forgotten an accompanying sauce and to shave truffle onto the dish. Throughout the course of the night I also felt some waiters were fumbling through the course descriptions (although a different waiter we had the same night nailed his presentations with us). Usually I wouldn't think twice of these occurrences, but the high price sets a different standard in my mind. Our drinks were delicious and food ever so fragrant upon presentation. The night started on a high note with our first course, but none of the later courses lived up to this for us. The delay between courses was long at times, but this worked somewhat to our advantage as we felt quite full by the end of the second course. Overall, I felt the dishes had more misses than hits. This is completely subjective and I'm sure other diners that same night were in awe of every course, but this wasn't the case for me. This was my first experience with a tasting menu and I love the surprise factor, but maybe they're not for me. At the end of the evening I asked for a printed copy of the night's menu. The bottom of this menu presents two options: $111 per person for full five course tasting menu or $130 total for full five course tasting menu (split). The split offering was never mentioned to us and, from what I can see, is not mentioned on their website (nor is it listed on printed menus available on their website). With my girlfriend and I already feeling full (and my wallet empty) by the end of the second course, this split option would have worked perfectly for us. Sadly, I feel the night was a bit of a let down overall and I wouldn't be visiting again, but I'm glad there's so many satisfied customers of theirs.

This is the best kept secret on Long Island. It's not a "secret" per se because it seems many people knew about this amazing restaurant, except me...until now. And boy oh boy, you cannot keep me away anymore! We went on a double date with amazing company, which was the whole point of the night, but within minutes the world faded away and it was just me and my meal with a myriad of flavors dancing on my tongue. I will come back here with friends or alone, whatever it takes to be served by the greatest head chef on Long Island. The food was excellent...but the service? JUST AS GOOD. At one point the chef came out to ask how our food was and cleared some dishes as he left. I've never seen that happen before. He sets the tone for an upscale culinary experience with a warm and friendly, down to earth, vibe. If I begin to describe each course, my fingers will tire from typing so I'll just say this...come, eat, be happy.

The place is a hidden gem. The whole experience was terrific. It was my birthday celebration, and I had surprise after surprise during the dinner because you have no idea what is on the menu. The service was attentive; the place has the vibe and espresso martini list besides signature cocktails. I also believe they can make anything to your liking. The atmosphere in the restaurant is more formal, so I suggest dressing appropriately. The menu changes every week. The food served was delicious; some of the dishes i would love to recreate myself; the chickpea mash is going to be one of the dude dishes at home from now on.

Highly recommend ! This place was like nothing I've ever experienced before. Every dish looked like a work of art and tasted incredible. You have to request a reservation to this place so be mindful of that! The restaurant its self was very small and intimate which was perfect for a date night. Our waiters were very knowledgeable and explained each dish to us and also provided us with a menu of the courses afterwards when we asked which we highly appreciated! I can't recommend this place enough. A hidden gem.

Just another phenomenal game night experience at eatMosaic. The staff continues to impress, and the plates continue to inspire. DJ and the front of house make the night an experience, and the courses this year really shined. The playful New England Lamb Chowder was the star of the show. The flavors were intense and everything paired beautifully, even the duck tongue. (Add that to the list of things I never thought I would say) The chicken fried quail was more like chicken then any quail I've ever eaten. The sweetbreads were rich and not chewy. And if I hadn't been told the meat was venison, I would've thought it was a filet. Desserts were playful and fall themed. Crispy bacon added a nice texture and savory addition to the pumpkin spiced gelato.

All I have to say is WOW. My friend and I were going back and forth on where to eat and she mentioned mosaic. Based off the reviews and pictures we decided to give it a try. I was absolutely blown away ! From the second I got there the staff was so nice and welcoming. The ambiance was great in both dining and bar area. The waiter was extremely helpful with recommending what we should eat. He told us about the 5 course chefs tasting and we decided on that. Each dish came out and was presented so beautifully and the staff gave such an in detail explanation of the dish. The food was delicious and so fresh. Each time I finished a dish I was excited for the next to come out. I don't think I can pick a favorite dish they all blew me away. Highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a great experience along with great food. I will 100% be back and I am so happy I tried this restaurant because it is now going to be my new go to spot !

Wife and I came here to celebrate a special occasion and wow we were absolutely blown away. It's a price fixe menu but don't let that dissuade you the food is beyond amazing prepare to give your palate a treat and go on a journey where you'll have one of the most amazing meals imaginable. The service is impeccable with some very knowledgeable and friendly staff. The ambiance is so nice you have to make a reservation but it doesn't feel over crowded. Would definitely recommend

If you're considering this restaurant, immediately make a reservation. My husband and I came here and took the risk for our first anniversary and we're blown away. They take many of the foods you're used to eating and elevate them in a way us non chefs would never think to. On the first bite it is very clear how much thought and energy went into every single aspect of the dish. Quite literally the most amazing meal/experience we have ever had. Very laid back environment and a waitstaff that is clearly trained in fine dining but somehow make you feel like you're family. Unfortunately we can only swing the bill once or twice a year but we will absolutely be back because it is worth every single penny.

We finally got here when I decided to surprise my husband for his birthday dinner. GREAT decision!…read more It was early on a Thursday, so when we arrived, the place was empty. We were still greeted with kindness and a generous pour of complimentary Prosecco to start the celebration! We both decided on the Five-Course tasting menu and added the wine pairing. For $84/pp including a wine pairing...wow. And the portions were NOT skimpy at all. Complimentary WARM rolls with butter were presented. The brown seeded roll was very nice. I didn't care for the white roll--it was flavorless and really didn't have any distinct texture. First course, we both had the potato leek soup. OMG, it was delicious. Not overly creamy or goopy, but very nuanced and delicate. The hit of fresh-grated nutmeg was such a spot-on addition. We were both oohing and ahhing. Paired with a full-bodied Pinot Noir, which was great! Second course; husband had the beet salad and they replaced the goat cheese for him since he's not a fan. Beets were tasty, almost pickled? A nice dressing. He said he encountered one or two nuts that weren't great...but otherwise, loved it. Paired with a Rose. I do not like Rose, but I did taste it, and it was pleasant enough. Our fabulous server overheard me...and switched up my pairing for my main course without even me having to ask! I had the Escargot. WOW! First off, not in shells, so no fumbling at the table. The garlic/butter sauce was obscene. I really didn't want to eat more bread with such a big meal, but had to do one dunk-YUM! It was served in a crisped wonton wrapper (didn't see layered enough to be a pastry dough), squared off to create a cup--cute. Mine was paired with a Sauvignon Blanc for me. I tend to be fussy about my blancs...I only like them from Marlborough and have often found California's to be too sour. I'm not sure where this was from, but it was lovely! Then we both had the crab cake. SO good--hubby's favorite course. Packed with crab, barely any breading, just enough to hold its shape. Served with a basil oil and a basil aioli with a perfect hit of acid, and I think a pickled cabbage salad? SO good!!! This wine pairing was the only "miss" in our opinion. It was served with a Riesling. I get that the sweetness was meant to cut through the richness of the aoli, but for us, a Riesling is a better dessert wine...but it was a nice Riesling despite it not really working as a pairing in our opinion. Mains: I had the tuna medium rare. Cooked to PERFECTION and crusted with a hint of horseradish that really woke up the taste buds. As mentioned prior, our wonderful server swapped out the intended Rose and substituted a lovely Cab. PERFECT! Husband had the filet Mignon. I'm not a meat eater, so I didn't taste it, but he said it was cooked perfectly to his request of medium rare. I can't remember what wine was paired...but I think it was another Pinot Noir? Dessert...I was too full...and had a surprise planned afterwards, so I just opted for a dish of ice cream to have a spoonful. It was a bit icy. Not as luscious as I would expect at a French restaurant. He got the bread pudding served with vanilla ice cream. Oh. Dear. Lord. Well, I intended only a taste. It was SOOOO warm and chocolaty and decadent. We practically licked the plate clean! The service was incredible. The ambiance was quaint, cozy, and lovely. We both HIGHLY recommend. This is definitely added to our "must take friends" list. Fabulous!

Food was good, we all ordered off the Oktoberfest specials menu. Size of the portions were big, and we all took home left overs. Pitcher of sangria was nice and sweet. The fire alarms happened to go off when we were there, and the restaurant acted fast enough to get the situation handled. (We didn't have to evacuate, so I assume it wasn't anything serious.)

That said, for a chain restaurant, it does feel a little expensive. There are a lot of local restaurants near me where I can get fresher, better food for the same price. My family really likes this place, mostly because the menu is huge. There is something for everyone, which makes it an easy choice. For me, though, the menu is almost too big. It feels more like a diner menu, with so many options that it can be overwhelming and hard to choose. Each time I go, I usually try something different. The Chicken Madeira is a safe choice and is usually very good. The steak dishes, however, often disappoint me. I know this isn't a steakhouse, but the steaks don't feel very fresh and seem to be the same cut used in different dishes. Compared to local restaurants, the steaks just don't stand out. One thing they always do well is the service. The staff is friendly, patient, and very accommodating. The atmosphere is also nice and almost makes you feel like you're on vacation, even when the restaurant is close to home. Overall, I never leave feeling disappointed, but I also don't leave thinking it was great. It's a reliable place with consistent food and good service. If my family wants to go, I'm happy to join them because I know what to expect. It's decent, comfortable, and dependable but, not my first choice when there are better local options nearby.
