The last time we were in Johnstown, this store was nearly empty. Today, the store is completely different and the parking lot was packed. Turns out in just a few months, they knocked down the old Eat n Park and built this new one ... Wow, what a difference! This area needs a fresh, clean, well-staffed general-type restaurant and that's exactly what this new store is. Everyone seemed to be enjoying their food, the place was packed, food, drinks were being delivered timely. Our server, Logan, was great and greeted us when we sat, took and filled our drink orders quickly and checked on us regularly. A newly renovated building, this homestyle diner chain stemming out of Pittsburgh is still a favorite amongst local western Pennsylvanians. As a kid, their smiley cookies were always my favorite. Everything is good here. The soup and salad bar affordable. And don't forget to try the infamous grilled stickies. Stopped by Eat'n Park with family. We were a large group, including young kids. The servers were all friendly and helpful, offering many options to us. The place is your typical dinner style. First time I ate there it was a burger and was good, so suggested my husband and I try it again. Well food was ok but my baked potato was like right it came right out of the fridge - butter wouldn't melt. I thought ok, no big deal. So, we try a third time. Husband's soup came out COMPLETELY cold. The bowl itself was even cold. I had the rosemary chicken which was absolutely horrible. It was the most bitter-tasting sauce. I love mushrooms and even the mushrooms tasted very bitter. The chicken wasn't real hot and the broccoli was lukewarm. The garden rice was the only thing on plate that was hot. Unfortunately, we probably won't return because we don't trust the safety of the food since it isn't being heated to proper temperature. The service was nice. But the food was... I got a chicken Alfredo which was alright, they overdid the sauce a bit and the garlic bread wasn't that good. But whatever. For my side I tried to get Mac n cheese, the most common food ever but they apparently only do that on Fridays ‍. So I ended up getting potato soup which was good and I got a whole 3 chunks of potato! The person I was with got Chicken Parmesan but minutes after the order was placed we were told they had no marinara sauce only meat sauce. So we got chicken tenders and fries instead. (Huge mistake) The chicken tenders were squirting grease when cut and tasted wretched. The fries looked like they have been sitting out for days... they were cold, they were dark, and they were lifeless. After not eating anything the waitress said that she only charged for the chicken parm because the tenders were more expensive. After saying they were horid and declining a box she asked if we wanted it removed from the bill, to which we accepted the offer. This was my first time, most likely last, visit to any Eat n Park. The name is even confusing. How does one eat before parking? Our server wasn't the best. He was slow taking our order, forgot to bring my bread, not friendly and just faiked to take good care; despite very few people in the restaurant. Prices are a bit steep, especially considering the quality of food. I ordered country-fried steak, with white gravy, mashed potatoes (they put brown, runny gravy) a salad and garlic bread. The meat was hot and tasted "fair." It was odd to have brown gravy, rather than the white gravy. Any other restaurant puts white gravy on the potatoes. This is the first day of a remodeled Eat n Park. Very attentive staff and quite a bit of help, both serving and sitting. Took my wife's order which was TURKEY CLUB SANDWICH WICHH WAS HUGE AND VERY TASTEFUL, I had the cod dinner and not really tasteful but very bland, wish it had been haddock but gotta save money. Came with 2 sides, one of which was cole slae, agan not very tasteful but not enough mayo. Not very likely to eat here again but way better off at CORNER COFFEE SHOPPE, which has haddock cooked to perfection. Sorry Eat n Park but have to be truthful. read more

Neither of us had eaten at Eat'n Park in YEARS (literally a decade-plus), so we gave it a try and were very pleased. The service was prompt, friendly and the waitress was patient, as we went through the menu carefully. After ordering drinks (Syn had both hot coffee and Mug root beer; I had raspberry iced tea--we had free refills of the coffee and my tea), we decided to share a bunch of appetizers. We had plate of fried ravoli (sprinkled with grated cheese), fried zucchini strips, and fried dill pickles. All were tasty, the portions were more than adequate and came with dipping sauces (marinara for the 1st 2, ranch for the pickles). Synthia's main course was a hot turkey sandwich with fries and gravy. She insisted on giving me a forkful to taste and I agreed with her that it was delicious. With all the appetizers, I went simply with a cup of the soup of the day: Cream of Broccoli. It was piping hot, causing me to savor it slowly and very good, creamy indeed! I had all I wanted, as did Syn who took home some of her entree and examples of the appetizers in a pair of takeout boxes. The total including tax was $45, a reasonable price for the amount and quality of food involved and we added a good tip for our highly efficient and good-natured server. Eat'n Park is not the place for smiles. We arrived at 1110am on Saturday June 18th to find we were between breakfast and lunch. Before we could sit down or handed a menu, the server had us ordering coffee, not aware before ordering that subpar coffee was more than double with any of us were willing to pay for it. She also waited until we ordered the coffee to inform us that the famous salad bar would not be available until 12pm. When we finally saw the menu we found all the prices were double or more what their website and menu websites list -- including that salad bar. Had we not been essentially forced by the server to stay we would have gotten up and found lunch at a nearby competitor. As it was we paid $$$ for less food than we expected and left our table very hungry. No smiles here. read more

Tons of choices - scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, fruit, pancakes, waffles, sliced Fried potatoes- (those are rare to find a d so yummy). Price was reasonable and they have any breakfast item you can think of. Definitely recommend this location for breakfast. Ordered take out on the app...totally screwed my order up. I ordered baked chicken parm with penne. I received breaded chicken. parm with spaghetti and no sauce!! A classic Sunday brunch spot. The physical location of Johnstown location is okay in my eyes. The parking lot can be a challenge to enter from the main road and it's relatively small. Be careful driving in and out. Inside it's the typically good old Eat N Park. We were greater by friendly hostess upon arrival. Both my sister and I ordered the brunch, but took some time to review the menu for seasonal changes. It's the perfect location for a big group, family or picky eater. They have everything from breakfast all day to buffalo shrimp wraps, pasta and more. Service is quick and prompt. The brunch buffet has the traditional salad bar items, plus oven browned potatoes, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, mixed vegetables, French toast sticks, perogies, fried chicken and soups! This is a decent enough location, but they need to make a few new updates. The front of house not so much, the rest of the restaurant, yes. The front of the house is basically brand new. Making it feel like a coffee house. The one thing that stands out here is that when they did the little remodel they forgot that the booths would block out the windows. The booths are high back type, and even if you are a tall person you wouldn't be able to see out the windows because of how high they go. Service can be slow here, there are times when you walk in that you may end up waiting for a server to appear at the hostess stand. Depending on the amount of patrons inside basically dictates how fast the service will go. Once the order goes in, it's usually smooth sailing. Another thing that could be addressed here is that they could use a bigger salad bar. This one is super tiny. Like beyond comprehension. If you do order the salad bar, you will not be getting the usual EnP experience. **Something to note: we were informed by the waitress that if you have a child with you that is under the age of five and you order the salad bar, the child is able to eat anything off of the salad bar for free.** read more

Eat'n Puke! The only reason to come to this place is because you are hammered and feel the need for an all you can eat breakfast buffet at 3:00 AM.....Can anyone say Bleck... If you come at any other time, you'll have to fight the walkers and canned blue hairs with wickedly increased strength from their balco induced medication rages for tables and parking. We ate here on Friday and it was 3 or 4 pm. Walked in and no hostess....so we wait! Oh there she is about 5 minutes later. We ask...2 please and could we please have a booth away from the kids? Eatn park is certainly not the best place in the world but nor is it deserving of a 1 star rating. There breakfast is generally pretty good, and I enjoy it. I love both of the Eat 'n Parks in Johnstown. The salad bar is a must! They make their own homemade ranch dressing, and it's to die for! The soups are good. Everyday they have chicken noodle and chili. The third soup alternates. On Sunday's, they have the Sunday brunch. You can definitely get your fill there! The sandwiches are awesome! The Pittsburgh turkey sandwich is a rip on the Primanti's and it's pretty good. The appetizers are delicious as well. You have to try the pie! read more

I love this place. It's open 24 hours. There is a midnight buffet on Fridays & Sat from like midnight-3a.m. Buffalo chicken salad is my favorite. They are reasonably prices - large menu selection - different seasonal specials -- breakfast any time of the day. They were started out of Pittsburgh, so they are a relatively local chain only around this area. They try to buy as much as they can from local farmers, which I appreciate. And my favorite drink is the mocha java milkshake. I like it better than anything I can get at Starbucks. -- Last summer they offered 99 cents kids meals for Smiley's birthday, but even on a regular day their kids meals are reasonably priced. They pretty much get an adult meal for a kids price. They also have baby food on hand for free and let young children eat off the salad bar for free! High school kids love this too. I do an activity in high schools and I actually make them choose what they would want to do on a Saturday night at 11, and this always wins for so many reasons they give. But everyone from my age (27) to my parents age (68) loves to go there for different reasons at different times. And can I just say their new shirts that say something like "Yes we know you park first and then eat" crack me up! :-) read more
