How do you butter toast that has mold on it
    Nicole G.

So, I grew up with the Eat n Park being one of our breakfast spots. I also appreciate the pick up window because my mom and I often grab breakfast before going in to her work. Honestly, it is ok. From time to time there are missing items, incorrect fod, etc. It is just a local fast spot for diner like food, nothing exciting. It is the Pittsburgh answer to Dennys. So today, we got breakfast and when looking my bread had mold growing on it. I looked at is closely and there was actual sporing. I have no idea how that happens in the middle of the bread. I checked my French toast (as I got the same bread) and there were a black spot on the edge. So, the frustrating part is that someone buttered this bread over the mold and thought that was ok. So we called in and the person said they looked at it and concluded that it was just burnt in the middle of the bread (what?). We pushed back and they are agreeing to check the bread and send a gift card. Mostly, I just wanted them to be aware and not serve moldy bread. I did attach a picture so you can see if maybe I am wrong and this is normal in the bread baking process.

Eat N Park is known for great breakfast, and I'm never disappointed when I do opt for some pancakes or french toast.

Immediately got seated and drinks, then after a few minutes we placed our orders and waited. Two other tables arrive and get seated, the cook comes out and explains to the table next to ours that he didn't like the look of the plate and apologized for the time and was remaking the order. Fifteen minutes goes by and one of the tables that came in after we placed our order received their meal. Then the table next to ours with the mistake received their food order. Now, I ordered the Hash Smash Hash, a simple plate which sounded interesting. What I got was smashed deep fried tater tots with a greasy egg over easy, a frozen burger patty with no seasoning. Topped with thousand island dressing and served barely warm. Now, I was told by friends how great these burgers are. Sadly enough, an unseasoned frozen burger patty that is not smashed at all is a complete disappointment. We had the smash plate, grilled cheese and fries, a coffee, and a soda which costs over $30 and burping grease all day. As cute as this place was decorated, it is definitely not worth the money for the lack of quality.

The place was highly rated and we all agreed that that reputation was very well deserved. Service was excellent, and the meals came out plated to impress. The meals were reasonably priced and the portions were generous. I had every intention to post a pic of the menu since I was unable to find one when we searched for the venue. I also regretted not taking a pic of my meat omelet before I cut into it. We have every intention of returning the next time we golf beaver valley. I hope to update this review then with some pics. I found this place on Yelp and was impressed by the reviews. We walked in on a Saturday morning and it was full, good sign. I think we only waited a few minutes before we were seated. The places seemed clean and newer. The menu was a decent size and they had daily specials as well. The best surprise was the price, this place is inexpensive! I was shocked how affordable, at least half the price of the places in Cranberry and Wexford. I ordered bacon, egg and cheese sandwich on a bagel and it came with home fries. It was a decent meal and under $8! My wife had eggs, potatoes, sausage and toast and it was cheap too. Our server was friendly and the food was good. The place seemed to do a steady business which was nice to see. We walked out having breakfast and drinks for just $20, what a bargain. The best part we were supporting a locally owned family restaurant. We will definitely return next time we are over that way.

I walked in when they opened the door today. It was just the owner there. I chatted with him a little while, apparently he and his wife own the place. I bought a load of sour dough and a loaf of cinnamon raisin bread. Both loom great. I then wanted a breakfast sandwich and asked what he would get if he was picking for himself. He said the homemade sour dough English muffin with egg, sausage and cheese is a good choice so I listened. It don't take long for him to fix it. They have no seating inside but have a table or two outside. I actually ate my sandwich right away. It was delicious. I'm glad to support local businesses and this is a good one to support.

They have many types of sourdough bread and their sourdough English muffins are awesome. They also make some pastries and have cookies and usually a few cakes. Since it is Thanksgiving this time they had a couple nice looking pumpkin pie pies. They were quite busy because of custom orders for the Thanksgiving holiday. But there was no line and I was in and out quickly. You can park right outside in the small lot. Their sign is a little bit hard to see from the road, but they are in the plaza with a pizza place and the liquor store near the shop and save supermarket on third Avenue. I highly recommend that if you need sourdough bread that you check this place out.
