When I walked in, I got the late 70's early 80's decor vibe. It was clean and welcoming. For me, it was like stepping back in time, which I thought it was cool. 3 Stars. It was the morning of UWV Homecoming 2023, and the place wasn't packed because the whole town was tailgating. I ordered a cup of coffee, which was good, not too strong but not weak. 3 stars. There were 4 of us, or orders were; * Cookies and Cream Pancakes with a side of bacon. The picture on the menu did not even slightly resemble what we were served. The waitress actually said when she delivered the order, "Why is there butter on top and no whipped cream?" She didn't correct the mistake she just shrugged it off. We were in a rush, so we didn't send it back. The pancakes themselves were dry and less than ordinary. 1 Star * One All-American Scrambler, which is a scrambled egg, bacon, and cheese on a bagel. This was delivered with a fried egg, not scrabbled. Again, we were in a rush so, for get 'bout it,' and eat the sandwich. My son said, "Mom's is way better. No flavor, and the cheese sucked." He's 13, so he says it how he thinks it. 1 Star * One order of scrabble eggs, turkey sausage, and breakfast potatoes. The menu said it comes with 2 scrambled eggs. This was my order, and I asked for an additional egg. I'm glad I asked for the 3rd egg because with the additional egg, the portion was small. The eggs reminded me a lot of the eggs I was served aboard ship while I served in the Navy, so I do thank them for the memory recall . The turkey sausage was very dry, and the potatoes were okay. 2 Stars * One Western Omelet. All I can say is don't rely on the pictures on the menu at this place. The omelet looked like what you may have gotten in a hospital cafeteria back in the 80's. No flavor and disappointing. 1 Star. I did like the retro decor, the place was clean and I did like the coffee. I'm giving them 2 Stars overall. Maybe we went on a bad day, give them a try and let me know what ya think. read more

Noel and I stopped at Eat n' Park in Morgantown after my Trigger Point Injections at Ruby. Noel and I both went with Omelets and I added Hollandaise Sauce to mine. I purchased a Lemon Meringue Pie to take home for Easter Dinner and purchased some Bunny Cookies for my grand babies for Easter. The food was wonderful!!! The Lemon Meringue Pie was killer!!! I have been eating the same buffalo chicken salad from there for at the least 15 years, it was large and had different fries and the chicken was perfect so on my birthday I wanted my favorite salad, I couldn't believe how pitiful it was and the chicken was different and it was way hotter, then they replaced it with a regular chicken salad. The chicken was too tough to chew and tasted like it had been out for days, really dry, Idk why they changed things but now my favorite salad is ruined and they offered a sundae or pie for free for my birthday but when I simply asked for a smiley Cookie they said those weren't included?? Got here at 7:05 doors didn't unlock until after I called at 7:20. The buffet still wasn't open was told it would be 30 mins late. Ordered off the regular menu the omelet was NOT how I had asked for it to be made (add mushroom and onion to a ham and cheese omelet) instead they added them to my home fries and threw them into the omelets cold, just to find a HUGE egg shell in the omelette. At this location I ordered my go-to, a Superburger with fries and grilled stickies ala mode for dessert. Great as usual. Here for the day. Came in around 10:15 for breakfast n coffee. Buffet was up. We had some of that and waited for the lunch buffet to change ( just a buck more). Sat n played games on my phone and good coffee never empty. It was pretty good and all fast foods in the area so we decided to come back for dinner ! Hehe. I had Baked Ziti with sliced sausage. That special was with salad bar and garlic bread. Ordered the pretzel sucks with mustard and beer cheese from app menu. Wow THOSE were soooo good! Must try if u are reading this review! $5.99 to boot! Boy ordered chopped steak with onions n peppers on it with mashed potatoes. Everything was fresh n tasty. Nothing like diner food! Stopped in at Eat 'n Park really only because noone else was open for dine in. I was honestly a little leary. No one waiting to get in, but we still waited about 5 minutes to be seated. The girl that seated us made it known that she wasn't the hostess and it wasn't her job to seat us. Not a great first impression. The poor waitresses were slammed but they all seemed to be as sweet as could be. Chicken noodle soup was hot and tasty. Philly cheesesteaks had a lot of meat in it and had a great flavor. I enjoyed it, and my som enjoyed the leftover half I brought him! Western omelet was flavorful and home fries were okay! We will stop back in next time we are in the area! Well the breakfast foods are OK. The burgers too. What I want to talk about is the total lack of cleanliness. It's dusty, booths are pathetically dirty. All over the booths. There was dust all over those wooden partitions. Each night, the booths need scrubbed. Being open 24/7 is no excuse. On the contrary- continually cleaning is a must. Step it up. I'm gonna call health inspector. So your response is you want me to fill out a feedback form at your website? No need to contact me- you need to clean the restaurant. Period. I am very serious about health inspection. But if I come back I'll be looking and reviewing again. Update- I can tell an good effort made in cleaning up. Good job! Stopped here on our way out of town after visiting family. We were seated right away and our waitress, Mary, came over and was rude right from the get go. She didn't introduce herself and simply said, "Well, what do you want?" We all just glanced at eachother like ummm...well, can we order drinks? She took our drink orders and walked away without saying a word, came back with our drinks, left, came back with coffee creamer and threw it on the table. Then she said they were having the breakfast buffet but none of us were interested in that because the food on the buffet did not look like it was worth the $10/person price. She seemed very inconvenienced at the fact that we wanted to order off the menu. I ordered the maple bacon french toast. The toast was very dry and had very little egg mixture on it (if any at all). It was topped with a maple icing similar to what is on a maple donut and it had a little crumbled bacon on it. You get two pieces of toast for $6. Not worth it. Had I known it would be such a tiny portion, I would have ordered something else. When other people at our table ordered their breakfasts, our waitress would ask them what they wanted with it instead of saying something like "what kind of toast?" or "bacon or sausage?" It was a struggle to order our food because we weren't exactly sure what she was asking us. Overall, it was not a good experience and even though we don't live in the area and probably wouldn't be back anyway, we DEFINITELY won't be back based on the poor service. read more

Morgantown staple. Get the smiley face cookie! I came here tons in college, and now of course every trip back to Morgantown usually results in my coming back. We came for breakfast before hitting the road on a Sunday, and I tried the new egg and cheese sandwich on a pretzel. It was so good, but gooey and heavy in your stomach. Typical diner food problems! The service was fine and the bacon was crispy perfection! Crispy, not burnt. My husband and friend enjoyed their meals as well. My daughter and I came in for lunch, ordered our meal which included a trip to the salad bar. The gentleman and I put that mildly, who was in charge of keeping the salad bar stocked was very rude, was mumbling and had a bad attitude. He would take the spoons for each item and slam them down into the container. We unfortunately we're sitting right by the salad bar. Have to say never been here before and will not come again. Saw that they were only one that made eggs Benedict was totally excited by it. But Hollanda sauce was watered down and they egs were over cooked and not poached. The sausage I ordered with my meal had no flavor. My wife had the breakfest buffet we got the around 1030 she was not told the change over to lunch at 11. Even thought the started at 1045 and would not let people finish getting there breakfast. My son got the waffle and said not bad but syrup was water down to no flavor. Daughter got chocolate chip pancakes and it had about 12 mini chocolate chip thrown on top of pancakes that were cooked. I had really high hopes for this restaurant, and heard mixed reviews. The stars speak for themselves. Food was edible, but had an exceptionally gross experience. The environment was nice, the service would've gotten a "C" rating, a little sluggish and sparse. Average. The food was okay, the meatloaf was a little too green pepper heavy but if you're into that, you're in luck. Mashed potatoes and gravy were good. Onto the salad bar.... The salad bar, or at least the cold part was great. It wasn't fancy, but had greens and spinach in addition to iceberg, as well as cold premixed salads (pasta salad, coleslaw) if you're into that. On the end, there was a bread basket with corn muffins (?) and strawberry bread which was awesome. My son loved it. And a collection of three soups, here's where it gets nasty. If you ate chili here after 6pm on the evening of 9-25-14, I would highly suggest you try to get as close to overdosing on vitamin C and preorder cold medicine RIGHT NOW then finish reading this review. All set? Okay. I was adventurous and tried the chili, it was more like chili soup, if you're used to regular thick chili as I am, and would've been better without so much brothy/watery base. But, it wasn't bad. You know who else liked it? This man who apparently had some sort of horrendous cough and kept returning to the soup bar, reusing the same bowl, and dipping the ladle from pot to bowl, not even attempting to pour... And probably spread whatever contagion he was carrying. The moment I noticed, I wished there was some way to swallow a gallon of hand sanitizer without dying. Most appalling, he did this in front of at least three employees who said nothing to him. I did speak to a manager, and I am unsure if anything was done, and wasn't comped for my health being put at risk because of unattentive employees. Perhaps the heat of the chili killed bacteria? I never walk into an Eat'n Park with high expectations. I know that it's not supposed to be gourmet. However, today was a real disappointment. The breakfast buffet all tasted like cinnamon. The bacon, sausage, biscuits, eggs, gravy... everything had a cinnamon after-taste. (I think they need to clean the griddle and change their cooking oil.) On top of that, the bacon was sitting in 1/4 inch of oil in the pan, the potatoes cold and the eggs ... well, let's just say that I think they were eggs. I would avoid this place if at all possible (unless it's 3AM and you've had some some tongue anesthesia juice throughout the previous few hours). The one positive was the very friendly service. I think that we had the same waitress as the 7/6 review, but ours was named Marianne (perhaps pronounced Mary Anne so a little confusion between the two) on her name badge. I've been here before and I've found the buffet to be quite OK for the price. Anyway, I came here with a friend on Tuesday. My friend and I order drinks and she sends the trainee off to get the drinks. I wondered if he was really just an errand person because I'd think that a trainee would wait and hear the order being taken and the interaction between server and customer. Our food comes after a reasonable wait and it's short one dish (one dish missing), but I didn't mind too much, sort of a forced portion control. Waitress is MIA (Missing In Action) for maybe 45 minutes. Really MIA. My friend drops his fork and has to ask (after ten minutes) the buffet refill person for a fresh fork. It was hard to see a server anywhere. My friend finishes his drink. No waitress. When waitress finally arrives he asks for a refill. She walks away with the glass, *never* to return. She must have arrived back in the kitchen and wondered why she had an empty glass in her hand? This was all very odd. It seemed as if each waitress only had about six tables. This was definitely not a case of someone rushed off her feet because she had too many tables. Come to think of it, the waitresses were generally not around. I've had OK service here before. Not sure why this night was so bad. If I ever come back, it'll be to order off the buffet. read more

Our waitress was fairly inattentive (for instance, she brought [and charged] me for the larger version of my breakfast dish when I had wanted the smaller one), but the food itself was pretty good. Quite nice. Google fu looking for gluten free options brought me here and this works. The entrees were quite good. The pumpkin chai with almond milk was lovely. The only thing I can fault... I got sick after eating my entree that tasted like a partially frozen weight watchers meal. This was not the first time. I chalked the first time up to a fluke. Went to the Morgantown Eat'n Park. While eating my steak salad I noticed hair in my food. I told the waiter (Eric), he looked at the hair and said "umm, OK, well here's your check and walked away. When I went to pay the manager (Kayli) asked how our meal was, I said I found hair in my food. She said oh yuck, gross. Then took the money out of my hand, gave me the change and said "come again". I wouldn't go to another Eat'n Park if I were starving to death. The one in Morgantown is nasty. Big mistake going there. Zero stars! I went into this place, and waited at the podium. No one came out. I could see that the place was open as there were customers seated. Then an employee peeked from the kitchen area and disappeared. Weird. Waited... another employee peeked at me from the kitchen area and also disappeared. i waited another minute or two and left. My niece and I ate lunch here today. Worst meal I've ever had any place! We both ordered Hot Turkey Sandwich with mashed potatoes. My niece asked them to hold the gravy on her mashed potatoes hence she was able to eat her mashed potatoes. My meal had gravy all over the sandwich and mashed potatoes and was so salty it was totally inedible. When I complained about the meal being so salty the waitress said sometimes it comes like that and some days its not so salty. Our meals were not taken back nor where we given a discount on the few bites we had.........we did end up ordering dessert because of the salty taste we couldn't seem to get rid of. The service was really bad. We waited ten minutes for someone to wait on us. We arrived at 10:50 PM. Placed our breakfast order at 11:05. We waited and waited. If we were not so hungry we would have left. Our food finally came at 11:40. The potatoes were not cooked and the waiter told us that they were probably not done. I ordered sausage and toast with my meal and it didn't come with the order. I did eat the French toast. By the time my sausage and toast came my eggs were cold. We have eaten at this location twice, both times we had problems. A group of four guy came in and had to seat themselves. They asked it the place was still open as no one was at the desk or register. We will not go back to this restaurant. I am just wondering about Eat'n Park in general. We had plenty of time to see what was going on with cleaning up of the salad bar, not good things. The floor was littered with food, not good. I am wondering if I want to eat again at a Eat'n Park again. This place was really dirty. Just wanted to say I always have loved Eat'n Park for the past 60 years. I now have reservations if I will go back. One more thing, we did not have to pay for our meals, The night manager did not charge us after I told her we were there for a hour for a breakfast meal which was not good and not cooked.
