Well we were at Doctors all morning starting at 9am and finally done by 1pm. We left Ripley at 6am and I picked Calliope up at 6pm....it was a very full day! I know you love them too those deliciously warm Honey Butter Glazed Crescent Rolls....these should come after the meal as a dessert...but they don't SO I DO....EAT mine before my meal!! Great prices and great service! I stopped in for a quick dinner: the bourbon glazed salmon and shrimp were calling my name (about $17). I took a seat at the nearly empty bar which had a great big fish tank behind it (I love to see the fishies) which definitely added to the ambiance. First thing is first with Cheddar's, the complimentary honey butter croissant was to die for as always! The sauce for my salmon and shrimp dish went perfectly with the salmon, shrimp, and even the broccoli. I ordered a carrot cake to-go and it was AMAZING! A little too many coconut shreds in my opinion, but those can be easily brushed off the cake slice. I had one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had with Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen, and it started the moment I called the restaurant. The employee who answered the phone was unbelievably rude, impatient, and acted like I was inconveniencing them simply by asking a few basic questions. Instead of speaking professionally or showing any interest in helping, they responded with a disrespectful attitude and made me feel like my business didn't matter. There was no courtesy, no attempt to listen, and absolutely no effort to provide the level of customer service that any paying customer should expect. It was shocking how unprofessional the interaction was, especially for a restaurant that's supposed to value its guests. After that phone call, I honestly had no desire to spend my money there. First impressions matter, and the way I was treated over the phone completely ruined any confidence I had in this location. If this is how customers are spoken to before they even walk through the door, I can only imagine how they're treated in person. Management seriously needs to address the behavior of the staff answering the phones because being rude, dismissive, and disrespectful is unacceptable. Customer service should never make people feel unwelcome, and until that changes, I can't recommend this Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen to anyone read more

So, I showed up on a road trip through town and initially ordered spasagna... had been craving a chicken parm and this seemed like the closest thing on the menu. Unfortunately 10 mins later the server came back to let me know they'd sold the last one for the night. (It was Thanksgiving Eve)... the back up choice of Dijon chicken and mushrooms was kinda bland, probably 3.5 stars but the service and those croissants made up for it! For the first time at a Cheddar's we had a great experience. It was convenient to our drive route and we were ready for lunch. We were greeted and seated promptly and our server was personable and efficient. We were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary croissants and ordered a chicken pot pie and the country fried chicken. Both were excellent and filling. The restaurant was clean and comfortable. So after multiple bad experiences a couple years ago we stopped going to Cheddars. However we were in the area and figured we'd give it a shot again. We were there around 2:30 on 12/23 so the area was really busy with shoppers. The sever we had was great. The appetizer was a little long coming out compared to the meal but not too bad. The meals were actually pretty good. I had the bacon cheddar burger and the burger was good and had a lot of flavor. My wife had some bean and rice meal with sausage and chicken which was good as well. We DID get the crescent rolls which I have missed. Stopped by Cheddars for a quick break, not really hungry but just to grab a quick bite because it had been a busy and stressful day and we wouldn't have time to eat later. Lucky for us, Thomas waited on us. To be honest, we didn't expect the level of service we received. The first thing we noticed was how how busy he was with getting drinks and taking care of tables, and at first we expected the same subpar service we seem to find more and more these days. Then he stopped, made sure we were taken care of and made sure we had the information we needed to consider our food choices, and to just make sure we felt a little bit special. In addition, he was just super friendly. After our food came, delivered by an equally friendly Brandon, in between our own converation we noted how Thomas made sure drink orders were correct, discussing them quickly with the wait staff, making sure they were made to their satisfaction. That was pretty impressive. I would like to note our food was very good, our drinks were excellent, and the atmosphere was just as we expected. We sincerely want to give kudos to the the restaurant and to Thomas for making a quick ''break' an enjoyable and unexpected pleasure. It was a nice change. read more

First time here for all 4 of us. Sat instantly in bar. Nice decor & big TVs. Server brought honey croissants- amazing. Server Forgot lemons on our waters. Everyone's food was really good. Chicken dinner was raves about from 2 of us. My burger was perfect. The seared white fish was happily devoured. Coleslaw was especially tasty. Went there today for Easter. First time I have been to a cheddars in 14 years. This one was mostly clean inside. Some details are being missed, crumb catchers, floor corners, etc but for the most part clean. The menu is better than it was the last time I was in one. Better selection of food, and drinks. I had the Creamy garlic tilapia and shrimp and it was better ham I expected. My son ordered the T-bone steak and it came out better cooked than when he ordered one from Outback lol. Had the Wisconsin cheese bites, chicken tender platter, and chicken tender salad. All of the food was great. At first the salad looked unusually small but then I realized that the salad bowl is much deeper than it appears although I still think it was on the small side. Had the fries and broccoli cheese casserole as the sides. The casserole was excellent and reminded me of what my mom used to make. The cheese bites were a good choice as well. We went to Cheddar's on Friday, June 27th around 6 PM, and had one of the worst experiences with a server we've ever had. The bigger white lady working that evening was flat-out rude and had a nasty attitude. When my dad asked for dessert, she rolled her eyes and said, "It's gonna take a minute" in a super annoyed tone. Then when she finally brought it out, she slammed it down on the table like she was angry. My dad even asked, "Is she mad at me?" That's how uncomfortable she made everyone at our table feel. There is absolutely no excuse for treating paying customers like that. She either needs a serious talk from management or honestly just needs to be fired. If you don't want to serve people with basic respect, you shouldn't be working in customer service. Do better, Cheddar's. This was beyond unprofessional. read more

The ambiance and decor are lovely and our server was wonderful. However the food was lackluster and to me not "scrath made". This seemed like your average food like other chain based places. Seated in 10 minutes on a Friday. We received 2 Delicious Croissants for free, and we ordered two more for $1.99 I did not care for the Wisconsin fried cheese app. Too much batter and not enough cheese. Excellent Broccoli casserole and coleslaw. The ribeye was just gristle. It was not very well marbled and tasted more like a sirloin. Next time I think i'm going to stick with the salmon. Ashely the general manager was rude and a racist! A liar! They forgot our biscuits and she didn't apologize because she accused us of bring rude to the waiter! We left the waiter a tip and spent 93.00 in there not once did we disrespect the waiter. We were in shocked I will be reporting her to the highest level. So this was our first time at Cheddar's we went online and reviewed the menu before going being we gave 5 kids we like to be prepared. We figured we will get two of the family dinners so we were well prepared. We get seated and once we order or tried to order per se we are advised family meals are only to be ordered online and is take home only. Which is NOT listed on the site no where! This was such an inconvenience being we live an hour away and was trying to get through dinner after our day of swimming. They need to specify on the site NO Dine In for family meals which we probably would have ended up spending more money if we were are able to stay. Lesson learned! We just visited Cheddars in Morgantown, WV, for the first time and were blown away. The croissants were delicious, the onion rings were to die for and have been craving them ever since. The pasta dish my picky daughter had was also wonderful and there were no complaints from her, which is highly unusual. My husband had the country fried steak with mashed potatoes and green beans, all delish. I just want to go back for croissants and onion rings! We got seated and got our drinks meanwhile when we ordered it seemed like she had a clear understanding of what we wanted however when our food came out it wasn't at all what we asked for. The salad had stuff that needed to be removed and the "chicken fried steak" wasn't even that. When told the salad wasn't correct the lady then asked "so what do you want me to do, do you want me to remake it". I said yes I do. It then took me 15+ minutes to get a salad in an empty restaurant. Anytime we go to Morgantown one of our stops is Cheddars. It's homestyle cooking but up class. The food is always great & reasonable priced. I always enjoy walking around inside, they have a great aquarium and lots of local pictures on the walls. read more

We waited about 2-5 minutes for a table. While we waited, two teenage employees chatted with each other, occasionally giving my family dirty looks until we approached them. After being seated, we sat for a while before anyone noticed we needed drinks. Once we ordered, it took about 20 minutes for both our drinks and food to arrive, making it feel like they had forgotten our order. Hands down for the money, variety and food quality this is the best restaurant franchise in the area. Weekends are very busy so expect to wait for seating. Stopped in for a quick lunch on a road trip. The restaurant is conveniently located in a plaza off the freeway with its own parking lot. They have both indoor and outdoor patio seating. The place is really cute with giant fish tanks in the walls and lots of plants and comfy seating. It was also very clean - including the restrooms. We were greeted and seated immediately. The server touched base immediately and provided ice water and delicious honey butter croissants. We ordered the fried chicken sandwich, bacon cheeseburger and New Orleans style pasta. Then we waited and waited and waited. It took almost 40 minutes to get our meals. To his credit the server kept us well supplied with croissants and water but when the meal finally came the burger was over cooked (burnt) the bacon on it was also over cooked (burnt black) and the whole sandwich was only lukewarm. The pasta was good and served up hot. The chicken sandwich was so hot it burnt the mouth. Once it cooled off a little it was very tasty with good seasoning, probably the best of the items we ordered. Not sure what happened with the burger but they clearly need to work on it and their meal timing so that everyone gets their meal served up fresh and hot. Luckily you can pay at the tablet on the table so we didn't have to wait for the bill. If you're in a rush this is probably not a good place to stop. I've never seen a Cheddar's in New Jersey, so during my most recent trip to West Virginia, I decided to give it a try. The venue was great. There was plenty of seating and I really liked the relaxed home town feel of the restaurant. I really loved the large fish tank they had separating the dining room from the bar area. The menu was huge, and everything was priced really reasonably. The food, most of it had a southern flare, was great. I really enjoyed the cup of baked potato soup & would highly recommend adding it to your meal! The staff was friendly and attentive. I'll be sure to make my way back to Cheddar's in the future! read more

Ok so I understand the whole covid precautions, so I can overlook the service issues. So let's move on to the food. 1. Ordered the wrap minus pickle, light buffalo and got a wrap with chicken a little cheese and nothing else. 2. Ask for more napkins and got the ones they use for under a cup, (pictured below) 3. Wife got sampler and the salsa had a bad smell, like plate wasn't washed and smelled like hand sanitizer, 4. Again understand covid precautions but how do you get a cheese that the bowl looks like it wasn't washed and no trace of it running over( presentation is key). Being a local I have said before but now a lot more serious about never returning here again, it seems it only gets worse every time and no change to try to get better in sight. read more

Very disappointing. Going in I expected great Mac n Cheese and cheddar biscuits but nope, none of the above. I tried to order a bottle of white Zinfandel and the waiter came back and said they were out. I requested a moscato and it was out. This happened not once, not twice, but three times. I also tried ordering a blue moon, but they were out of that as well. As far as the food goes, my baked potato was clearly microwaved and my boyfriends fries were cold, very disappointing, especially for two potato enthusiasts. The chicken was okay, but not great. Coleslaw had a great taste but had almost no carrot or red cabbage. I truly would never go again, not a lovely experience. read more

Service from our waitress was excellent. Felt bad for her though as the bar took forever with the drinks and the kitchen was very slow in getting food out. But she was a rockstar and kept apologizing even though we understood it wasn't her fault. Once our food came it was hot and perfectly cooked. I just love their pot pie!
