I honestly don't know what all the fuss is about this place. I went here a few weeks ago and it was packed! 45 min wait for a biscuit, so I left. Today there was no wait, but the Mickey (Canadian bacon, egg and cheese) was average at best. I guess processed cheese is technically cheese (?), but the Canadian bacon was just a slice of ham... First off, you throw your car of alignment driving through the minefield that's their parking lot. Giant holes everywhere. They're too cheap to fix their parking lot. Second, I placed an order and only got half of the food, correct. I had to go back inside and explain it to the guy like five times before he understood that food was missing and one of the biscuits was not made correctly like I ordered it. I ordered the country ham, egg and cheese...they were out of country ham so subbed shaved ham. And it was good. Biscuit was soft and flavorful...egg had just a bit of runny yolk and cheese was spot on...added some Texas Pete hot sauce and enjoyed a nice lunch. My only knock was the young woman at the counter was not the friendliest...she was changing register tape when I came in and it took her another 5 mins...at no point did she acknowledge me standing there until I asked if this is where I order. Don't judge a book by its cover is the best way I can describe Tudor's. From the outside you may want to just keep on driving by and find some chain restaurant you have been to hundreds of times. But if you take the chance to stop and go inside you will be pleasantly surprised by what comes out of the kitchen. The biscuits are the backbone of the plate but the rest of the food, whatever sandwich, platter, or side you get are fantastic. I had biscuits and sausage gravy which are my favorite breakfast food. I didn't like their sausage gravy, it was kind of bland with not a ton of finely ground sausage. The biscuit seemed a little sweet and combined with the gravy wasn't great. The biscuit itself was so good and I can't wait to eat my next one with butter and jam. Hashbrown was perfectly crispy and the coffee tasted good, but was weak. The real positives were the charming local feel and the impeccably clean restaurant. I sat in a back corner and had a clear shot at the backside of the front counter, straight under the soda machine, and the coffee bar- I was shocked at how clean all those areas were, just like the rest of the restaurant. I will be back and can't wait to try their other menu items. I do wish they opened earlier, 7am seems late to me for a breakfast place. read more

My son went to Tudor's and insisted that we go when I was in town. The food was delicious! The restaurant itself is not big, so on a Sunday morning there wasn't a lot of room inside, but we were able to find a table. The restaurant was clean, even when busy, that includes the restroom. While looking for a lunch place in Morgantown, we went to Tudors Biscuit World. It's a favorite place for students attending WVU and provides some pretty darn good biscuit and gravy combos. Had an egg and cheese biscuit and a cold drink and the order came out in less than two minutes. The staff was friendly and mindful of Covid requirements too. This is a good, humble restaurant slightly off the beaten path. Obviously, they specialize in biscuits. I had the biscuits and gravy with potatoes and eggs. Service was prompt. There were two cashiers, which eliminated any waiting to order. The food was up very promptly. You order at a counter and someone brings to your table. The biscuits and gravy were quite good. The eggs were ok. The potatoes were mediocre -- probably fried out of the freezer. The coffee was very hot, although a little on the weak side. The place uses re-usable plates, flatware, and coffee cups, although the coffee cups are a light (cheap) hard plastic rather than ceramic. Unfortunately, the place uses plastic cups for water rather than glasses or re-usable cups. Overall, this is an unfussy, unassuming place that makes a solid breakfast with good service. read more

Well, my husband made a special detour just so I could get some biscuits and gravy since I pout every time we pass one. They did not disappoint. The biscuits were wonderful and the gravy was OMG yummy. My husband had never tried them before. Now he's planned another trip next weekend. He finally understands my pouts. lol. I had checked in on Facebook and tagged my ex since he introduced me to it way back when. He asked for a mountaineer but I said no since he wouldn't drive the 6 hour round trip when I had pregnancy cravings 21.5 years ago. Grudge much? Fast food done right! Homemade delicious large biscuits! You can get a McDonald's type egg or an actual pan fried egg. Definitely beats going to a traditional McDonald's or Burger King. Not customer service friendly/accommodating. Convinced into paying the up charge in my 5 buck hotdog lunch combo for onion rings. They were heavily breaded and no taste. Could not eat. Went back to get fries instead, was charged an additional 2.75 for a dollars worth of fries. Shameful. I love Tudors but you have to be very careful when eating here.
