I would of definitely gave them the 5 stars. However there is only one person whom stopped me from doing so. I've been coming to this group for a very long, I use to go to their downtown office but switched it up to this particular office. I never have had an issue until my recent appointment. I was greeted by an amazing young lady, I informed her I was a bit early to my appointment because I have finished with my previous appointment earlier than expected. She said it was no problem. Which I was beyond thankful for. She then did all my exams in such a personable and professional manner. The doctor then came in which again, was outstanding. Explained everything thoroughly and I was extremely happy with him as always. It wasn't until it came to pick my frames, DO NOT GO WITH JUDITH. Stick with Jennifer!! Judith was condescending for no reason. When she handed me a purple guess frame, I said no thank you. And she goes what don't you like? I responded with, "I don't like the brand guess." I then continued with telling her with brands I like and she said "oh you go for the names". I then stood far away (per covid regulations) and she said "you need to stay where you are" not allowing me view their selection. I wasn't going to pass their desks. I was going to see the selection from afar, since I didn't feel like I was seeing everything there was to see. I was only seeing what she thought would work best for me. Completely disrespectful, it wasn't the first time she's been disrespectful, she was rude once before with my dad. She shouldn't sell frames off her pocket or her taste. I have always worked with Jennifer, extremely patient, and very friendly. She understands the clients. If you don't want to feel rushed or judged go to Jennifer. NOT Judith. read more

In the past, I have been to other eye care professionals. I had not heard of Eaton and live out of town, but felt it would be worth making the drive to try someplace that was recommended by someone I trust. I was really happy with my experience with the staff at Eaton. I am also in the healthcare profession and patient care is really important, and finding a place that was a good fit for me was also important. It was my first visit, and all the staff were nice, and everyone took the time to explain the process and help me...I never felt rushed. Dr. Ng was awesome and explained about my eye health and took the time to listen to my concerns. Roxanne was helpful in assisting me to choose new frames and very,very patient! Everyone from the front desk, to the assistant were all very professional.A professional, yet comfortable, atmosphere. We usually come in every year in December and unfortunately last year we couldn't get seen in December (due to me not setting appt far enough in advance w/COVID changing availability and their system was down for what seemed like weeks), so we lost our insurance benefits for the 2020 calendar year. :( However, we were able to get in in January & February tho (will be our new time of year to be seen from now on) and we are ready to get new glasses and contacts for our family!! We didn't realize two of us in Jan were not scheduled with Dr. Ng, which honestly was a bit disappointing, because he is so personable, always remembers us, takes his time with us, (loves Disney like we do), and is simply an AMAZING eye Dr. We ended up leaving that day without ordering anything, after I became a little overwhelmed - probably because we didn't end up seeing Jen that day. We are used to working with her. I called in today to work with Jen on orders and we now have a plan to get everything taken care of! Jen (optician) is AMAZING and ALWAYS knows exactly how to get the job done most efficiently, choosing styles and a budget that works for us. She is so welcoming, efficient, knowledgeable, understanding, patient, knows us in a personal way after being patients for years, and really wants to take care of our needs, making our experience at Eaton the VERY BEST, EVERY SINGLE TIME!!! First time customers today. We chose Eaton based on Yelp reviews and had a great experience. We didn't know my husband and I were both scheduled at the same time and had our 2 and 4 yr old daughters with us. They were very accommodating and allowed us to switch off having the kids during our exams. The eye exams went smooth and pretty quickly and we were then helped by Judith. We recently moved to Tracy and we needed a new eye doctor. After calling several in Tracy, Eaton was the only one that was willing to give us an appointment right away. The office staff was friendly and knew what they were doing with insurance and billing. We had the pleasure of being examined by Dr. Ng. He was so thorough in his screening. My youngest son had been experiencing headaches for sometime and Dr. Ng was able to fix his prescription and most importantly explain to him what was going on with his eyes and why he needed to wear his glasses all the time. The ladies were able to help him find a style of glasses the fit his personality to a T! For the first time in many years, glasses are not an issue with him! He loves them! I've been coming here for many years. I used to see Dr Balistary after his retirement I started seeing Dr Ng, he's great. He takes his time and is very thorough. Jennifer is the best, she knows me and she always helps me find the perfect pair. I love the fact that she'll tell me if a pair doesn't look good. This review is long overdue but I was a patient here in 2018 and before. I actually like their glasses selections and the guarantee that came with it, but not much I could say about the contact lenses back then. I came here to get contact lenses back in March 2018. The optometrist (don't remember who) did my contact lens exam and got me to try the Aqua Clear Toric contact lenses but had issues with wearing it as my eyes tend to go out of focus. I came back and complained about the issue, and he took a look and said I have Computer Vision Syndrome. The optometrist recommended that I wear computer glasses along with contact lenses to fix this issue, so with that I gave up on the idea of wearing contact lenses after 6 months. After a year, I went to another optometrist (somewhere in Stockton) and tried again (this was in 2019). I was given the same contact lenses and still had the issue so I complained. I told my new optometrist that I had this issue before and that I had Computer Vision Syndrome, but he asked, "why not try a different brand?" After trying 3 different brands for a week each (spent 3 weeks on 3 trial lenses), I did not have anymore of the issue. My eyes were not losing anymore focus and I did not need any computer glasses to fix the issue. So now with that said, I felt that my situation could've been handled differently and I would not have any issue with my contact lenses if the optometrist in Eaton had me try 3 different contact lenses instead of just one and computer glasses. read more

I brought my son to Eaton Optometric Group For his first eye exam...I was not happy. I felt they where all about the money (very over priced). I have the best PPO insurance. My insurance paid them 890.00 for the exam and glasses (still over priced)! I found out that was a rip off after I went to Lens crafters and paid 113.85 for the eye exam and 60.00 for Ray Bans (a total of 173.85 without insurance) ... My story is that I originally went to Eaton Optometric Group first cause I didn't know any better, I figured I have really good insurance so how expensive could it be, I called my insurance and they said they paid them a total of 890.00 (way to much) and I still had to pay 300.00 out of pocket cause they kept adding stuff on (ar coating) etc. Well because they said it was all important to get I agreed and said yes and ended up paying 300.00 out of pocket, not including the 890.00 my insurance paid them! When I went to Lens Crafters all that came included with the eye exam and the lens and frame for the Ray Bans! The reason I even went to lens crafters was because my sons friend accidentally stepped on his glasses and they broke , when I called Eaton Optometric to ask if I can get them replaced they said they will have to charge me again but will give me 20% off. Are you kidding me!?!? I spent over 1000.00 and something goes wrong after a 2 months and they can't replace them! So that's when I went to Lens Crafters and found out that there cost for exam and the same glasses with the ar coating was 173.85. When I told Lens Crafters what happened they were so kind and professional. When I called Eaton Optometric to see what they can do a girl named Michelle charge me 150.00 just for the frame!! And when I told her what happened she told me "well you should make that kids mom pay for your sons glasses cause he stepped on them" ...how unprofessional is that!?!? Try and help the customer not punish them! She was so cold and also tried to make me feel bad as a mother by saying "I have 2 pairs of glasses for my daughter" I said "well put yourself in a mothers shoes that can't buy 2 pairs of glasses for her kid." She was very unprofessional and didn't try and help. My husband and I need eye exams and I will not EVER go to Eaton Optometric or recommend them to anyone. I will go to Lens Crafters where I felt comfort and honesty. Thank you Lens Crafters for your excellent service and best prices. What more can I say then this place sucks!! It's been 2 months maybe longer and I still have not received a call from Eaton Optometric. Last time I was in a spent a long time getting fitted for special contact lenses and I was going to receive a follow up call and never did. I've followed up myself multiple times and I don't get a dial tone, or it's answered but just silence on the other end and sometimes I get a ring but no answer. By far the most horrible experience I've ever had and I should've stuck with my doctor at UC Davis she was the best ever I just hated making such long trips but from this experience its definitely worth it. read more

I've been a patient at Eaton for over 10 years and have always received great service and thorough healthcare. All of the original doctors have either retired or sold their share of the practice and as such have now interacted with 2 of the new Optometrists. My son has been seeing Dr. Tim Ng for his CRT (ortho-K) lens procedure and requisite followups. I have to say, Dr. Ng is nothing short of fantastic with amazing patience dealing with my very curious and rambunctious 10 year old. Every concern and question has been handled exceptionally well and put my wife and I at ease as my son is getting comfortable with inserting and remove his hard lenses. Well, removal of the lenses is still a work in progress but he's getting there. If you're looking for a solid Optometry office in the Tracy area, stop your search and go to Eaton. read more

I've been going to Eaton Optometric since 2004. The doctors have always been very thorough, and the front office staff nice enough. I have to say, though, that the main reason I continue to return to this practice is because Jennifer is there. Being a firm believer that one should let the experts do their job, I generally ask her to pull frames for me that she thinks would work, I try them all on, and then she magically chooses the best one for me. I ALWAYS get compliments on my glasses and sunglasses. Since I don't choose them, I know that all of those compliments are because she picked out my frames for me. Dr. Ng is wonderful! He is very thorough and knowledgeable. It's not just a bunch of "better A or B? 1 or 2?" He asks a lot of questions to give a good background on your vision and eye needs. On this visit my prescription hadn't changed that much and there was ZERO pressure to get new glasses! I did get new glasses because I wanted new frames for a new look! They had a great selection of frames and I could take my time but they were also making suggestions and I feel like I was pretty vague on what I wanted, I just want a new look! They found me the perfect pair! No pressure for up selling on features or lens treatments. She explained some different options and made sure I knew what was available. I got an appointment quickly and in the morning like I needed. I've been going here for several years and appointments are never an issue, they always have someone available to adjust glasses, AND the glasses usually arrive sooner than than they say!
