Went here before a concert and caught the happy hour just in time. Nice outdoor patio when you walk up. Nice ambience. The service was amazing. I truly appreciate our server double checking with the kitchen to confirm certain ingredients for me since I have food allergies. The food was good. I just had a salad and some fries. I should've got the truffle fries because that's what my friend had and they were delicious! Overall, great experience. I will definitely return and try more items off the menu.

I'm in LOVE!!!! How did I not know about this place! Came here for Happy Hour on a Thursday with a friend and we loved it!! It is so cute on the inside, it's not too big yet not too small. Our waitress was super nice and very attentive! I only had wine and my friend had one of their specialty cocktails and both were very good. We tried the Chicken Quesadilla and Trufffle Fries and they were both good. The music was nice and versatile and not too loud. Thiey are open from 9am - 9pm so the menu is full of variety.

Let's begin with your arrival, greetings by amazing, friendly staff. Very informational menus and the cocktails are extraordinary! We sat on the patio enjoying the open air and music. The food was beyond amazing! The sausages were cooked perfectly as was the incredible eggs and the potaoes homemade! My cousin had the Social Experiment were the short ribs melted in your mouth. Highly recommended. Suggestion: espresso martini with Baileys!

I went here with some friends, our first time and I will be back to explore the menu. The happy hour had great reasonably priced options and the sliders that I had were delicious with the Boss Sauce... a place to go to eat well and have a great time with friends

The shrimp and grits were amazing! Service was quick fast and friendly. We had a great bar tender as well. In the middle of us eating a guy came up to us asking if we could buy him food. It was a little offsetting to say the least. But service was great 10/10 recommend.

The city was bustling with people, and I was pleasantly surprised by how gorgeous the downtown area was. The café had a vibrant, energetic atmosphere that perfectly matched the excitement of the city. Our server was absolutely amazing and made excellent recommendations. The portions were generous, and the food was delicious. Based on the recommendation, I ordered the corned beef hash with the cinnamon pancakes, and both were fantastic. Next time, I definitely want to try the red velvet pancakes! My friend ordered the Triple Triple Omelette with the original buttermilk pancakes, and we both chose the cheesy grits. The cheesy grits were very creamy, though I would recommend adding a little more butter to enhance the flavor. That was really my only critique. The restaurant was busy, but after dining there, I completely understand why. Despite the crowd, we were greeted immediately, and the service was prompt throughout our visit. Overall, Hudson Café delivered great food, outstanding service, generous portions, and a fun atmosphere. I will most certainly be back the next time I'm in downtown Detroit!

I imagine a reservation is a must for a weekend. Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating, and drinks and food came out quickly. I appreciate they have espresso drinks, and ordered the chai latte but it was a little too sweet for me - I'd go with a plain latte next time. I also think I may have ordered the wrong dish because my mom got an omelette with pancakes on the side and enjoyed it. I gambled with the huevos rancheros but they were just ok. I wish the potatoes were more seasoned. You definitely get a huge portion for whatever you order so expect to split with someone or have leftovers. All in all, a solid brunch spot but not a favorite.

I thought the saloon-type entry doors were a fun touch. I liked the atmosphere, too. The menu is wide-ranging, from breakfast any time to burgers, salads and sandwiches. I don't drink alcohol often, but I noticed they had a good selection of hard cider. I decided to get the one that was on the top of the menu -- something with pineapple. It was sweet but very good. My sister had the Honest John's hard cider that was on draft. It wasn't as sweet, but it was good as well. I had the grilled johnny john sandwich -- chicken, swiss cheese, tomatoes, lettuce on grilled pita. It was very filling; I only ate half! My sister had the chicken Caesar wrap, with the same result. We ordered some plain fries to share. Those weren't anything special. All in all, I liked the restaurant and would go back.

Coffee was pretty good too, served with cream in a little pitcher, a nice touch. Great service, good food, a solid choice for breakfast or brunch.
