When we were in college we would gather around the tv set and cackle for the hour-long special. Kenny Howell and Pierre were two of the first comedians to appear on the show and we couldn't wait to see them live! EBT is a nice-sized venue in the south suburbs with chic decor. The only issue I had was with the service. I arrived about 15 minutes after my party and the already had drinks. They informed me to go to the bar to order because no servers were coming around (although I saw several wandering about aimlessly). I ordered a drink and since I was informed about the slow waiters, o ordered food as well...the Parmesan garlic chicken wings with fries. The bartender was very friendly and fast and I wanted to leave her a nice tip on my card, but there was no tip option. So strange cuz you can literally buy a Streetwise newspaper from a Streetwise vendor and there's a tip option on their not-pad. had to scrounge up some singles from my bottomless purse to tip her. ANYHOO, I go back to my table and told my crew I ordered food and if they wanted some, they needed to go to the bar. As they hemmed and hawed, a disgruntled young man came by and disgruntledry (yes, I make up words ) took their food order. Moments later a server came with my order and asked me to pay but I told her I paid at the bar. She looked at me skeptically but I insisted I did and she should go ask the bartender. About 15 minutes later the disgruntled dude came back with everyone else's order his disgruntledness was so obvious, we were slightly uncomfortable. But that's when I noticed you could leave tips on the waiters iPads. The lady came back around to check on us so I bought another drink and gave her a tip. I mean, ain't nobody out here waiting tables for no tip. We all shared wings, tacos, salmon and jerk rolls and the other good part is that the food was phenomenal! Perfectly seasoned, sauced and no leftovers. The other great thing about EBT is the owner Tiffany. What a gracious host! She was friendly, hospitable and made everyone feel comfortable. You can tell she cares about her establishment. I hope she's able to find a good FOH manger/supervisor to help that aspect of the biz run smoother. All in all, it was a great experience and I'll definitely be back for another show. If you're a city-dweller, it's worth the trip.

Unfortunately the parking lot is very small, but I arrived early so I didn't have a problem. I don't know why some event spaces do this, but to get into the bathroom stall, you have to turn sideways because the toilet is very close to the stall door. I love the loft looking ceilings. I'm considering hosting an event here. I'm not sure if the owner herself offers decorating services, but the place was impeccably decorated.

The food, tables, chairs, bar and bathrooms were all impeccable and functioned beautifully with a big crowd. I have attended many weddings in similar venues but this topped them all. Plus, it was a hot summer night with close to 300 people and the A/C was superb. Great place for a great event.

When I waked into the banquet hall, I was expecting something dark and subdued. Low and behold, the lobby area and banquet room was light, spacious and elegantly decorated. The food served at the luncheon was a nice chicken breast with a lovely sauce and fresh vegetable on the side. The dish was nicely seasoned, the chicken breast was tender and juicy. I was lucky enough to sit at the table with the Maribel the Banquet Manager. She was so nice and accommodating. Next time I am considering an event, they will be my place to host.

Course was in terrible shape, greens had bare spots, tee boxes had areas…read morewhere it had no grass, no rangers on the course to keep people moving!! $ some in front of us took forever to hit and nobody was there to get them moving, 5 hour round which was terrible!! Some of the sand traps had no rakes, so they were a mess. Workers were cutting tee boxes, moving tee markers but not putting back, so had no clue here to tee off. Not coming back!!!

We had to swap out decorations in between the ceremony and receptions because it was held at the same venue and he even helped with that! I don't have a single bad thing to say about the service. He was worth every penny. All of his equipment is very high quality and most if it is wireless, which affords him a lot of flexibility to equipment location. He is very familiar with all of the equipment. Not once was there any feedback from any of the microphones or complaints about the sound being too soft or loud. The music always flowed well from one song into the next, which kept the dance floor full and active. That is not just my opinion. He was also complemented by several guests across all aspects of his work, lighting, music, coordination and general helpfulness. If I have missed something, it is safe to say that he also did that exceedingly well too. My only regret is not getting these reviews done sooner. He really does deserve it!
