Patatas bravas

First the food: 1) it comes out ready made and in courses so if you order from all parts of the menu it's like you're having a 4-5 course meal 2) we ordered the tri tips, patatas bravas, Icelandic cod, and strawberry salad 3) the strawberry salad was not a salad at all but a mash and there were no greens. It was not sweet and more savory, which I don't mind in fruit salads. I just wish it didn't taste like I was eating pickled flowers. Don't recommend 4) the Icelandic cod was soo good - flavorful but salty (I'm salt sensitive). I love the fried rice base and the fish was light and airy 3) you cannot go wrong with potato wedges and sauce ! Will order again 4) the tips were the star of the show ! Absolutely knockout and soo good! We will certainly come back when I'm not pregnant so I can order a wine! Instead they made me a mocktail was so soo sweet of them and delicious.

This might be my favorite place for dinner in downtown Leesburg. Love the vibes, all the food, wine, and the service staff are all awesome! No notes. Highly recommend the olive oil cake which needs to be ordered 30 mins in advance.

I want to express that this is still my favorite winery. Every time that we've been to lost Creek/Echelon the customer service is out of this world. The executive chefs are amazing and you can tell they take pride at what they do. The decor and the atmosphere has always been pleasant. Trinity is my favorite wine It's sweet and has a smoky/pepper taste to it. If that's up your alley. You should definitely give that a try and take a bottle or two to go like I always do. I want to thank Bear & Kate They were super attentive and pleasant, I do appreciate them going above and beyond for us. We'll be back again

Beef Carpaccio

One of our favorite places, beyond stand out. Here's a dish the Chef curated for our Crown & Collar Society event. OUT OF THIS WORLD!

Steak and potatoes

Absolutely phenomenal! My husband and I did the chef's tasting and wine pairing and the food and wine exceeded my expectations. I was a little worried about what we were going to be served to eat since we couldn't view the menu ahead of time, but everything was so delicious. Our four courses included fried polenta, a pulled chicken meatball thing, steak and potatoes, and hazelnut tiramisu. 3 of the 4 wines were more dry (which we prefer), and the 4th was a dessert wine which wasn't too sweet, so it was perfect for us. 10/10 would eat here again!

Short rib Benedict

We have wanted to visit since they opened and finally made the point this past weekend. Had a great time and will certainly be back. It's a very cool space with good wine selections and good food. Ethan, who was running things that morning, is a true credit to the establishment. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

Updating since things have evolved here since the opening days in the middle of COVID and we now have tried them as takeout, dining in downstairs, and outside on King Street. If you love wine and high quality food just go. This is a great add to the Leesburg food scene. Echelon is owned and connected with the Winery at Lost Creek. We love their red wines, in particular, but if they are not your thing do not worry. Echelon has a very strong wine list. The wine bar is downstairs which as first gives you the feel of a speakeasy, but the set up is very modern. Overall vibe is professional adult, but with a relaxed, not stuffy experience. Service is excellent. The food is amazing and pairs well with the available wines. You can't go wrong ever with their cheese and charcuterie boards to start. The parmesan grits with a poached egg and the pan seared halibut are standouts. The menus and wine list are available here https://www.echelonwinebar.com/menu

It's truly one of our favorites and never disappoints. The food was absolutely incredible (as expected). We also want to give a special shoutout to our waiter, who was in training he did an amazing job! He was attentive, friendly, and made our experience feel seamless. We love this place so much and will definitely keep coming back every chance we get!

If a place executes its vision at a high level and exceeds expectations for its lane, that is a 5 star experience to me. And this meal absolutely did that. We relocated to Northern Virginia a couple of years ago, so we have been exploring the dining scene here with fresh eyes. Since moving, we have visited The Wine Kitchen several times, and each visit has been consistently impressive. They are truly a gem in Leesburg. We went with the pasta tasting menu and it was an outstanding, technique driven progression that really showcased the kitchen's command of fresh pasta and sauce work. The pasta itself was the foundation of the experience, clearly house made, with impeccable texture across every course. Each shape was cooked to a true al dente, with that ideal balance of tenderness and bite that only comes from properly handled fresh dough. Nothing felt heavy or muddled, which is no small feat in a multi course pasta progression. The mushroom tortellini in brodo was beautifully restrained. The broth had deep umami from the mushroom parmesan base, yet remained clean and structured, allowing the delicate tortellini filling and chestnut mushrooms to shine. The truffled Alfredo could have easily gone overboard, but the richness was controlled, silky, properly emulsified, and well seasoned, with the truffle supporting rather than overwhelming the dish. The lobster ravioli was another technically strong plate. The pasta was thin and tender, the filling sweet and delicate, and the crab fat sauce added depth while the ginger Calabrian soffritto brought a subtle lift of heat and brightness that kept the dish from feeling too rich. The short rib rotolo delivered deep, slow cooked savoriness, balanced nicely by the ricotta and the earthy luxury of the truffle fonduta. What really made the dish stand out for me were the crispy edges on the pasta, which added a beautiful textural contrast to the tender filling. For dessert, we enjoyed the tasting menu dessert and also added the cornflake French toast. The French toast completely wowed us. Texturally, it was outstanding, crisp exterior, custardy interior, and that nostalgic cornflake crunch elevated into something refined. It had richness, sweetness, and contrast in all the right ways, and ended up being my favorite of the two desserts. Overall, this is how you do a pasta focused tasting menu with finesse, strong technique, thoughtful balance, and flavors that feel indulgent without becoming heavy. In its category, this was a 5 star experience for me, and I would absolutely come back.

We were two families with kids, and there was plenty of room for the kids to play, including a mini-soccer field. The layout of the outdoor space also meant the kids couple play without disrupting other patrons, which is important to me. The wine and beer were both above average and the servers were very knowledgeable on their products. We came back today for the first time in years, and wow - we were blown away. We did a wine flight, and each one we tried was perfectly balanced, flavorful, and delicious. My husband also tried their beer and was impressed. The sandwiches are generous in the servings of meat, and the bread was fresh and the perfect texture. On top of the delicious food and beverages, the location is beautiful. The only negative is that there were young children everywhere, but at least the shrieks they emitted were happy. Can't wait to come back again soon!

When I said we were dining in, she told us the restaurant was full and that we could sit outside... in 100‑degree weather. The attitude was snotty, dismissive, and completely out of line. We felt like we were being treated as second‑class customers. Not welcoming at all. I'm genuinely disappointed. If you're going with a group, make sure to tell them which lot you're parking in and where to find you since it's very easy to get lost. There's sooo much seating and it looked like you can make reservations for groups, so the ambiance is great for big parties or to celebrate an occasion (like a birthday or bachelorette). You can either be indoors or outdoors, but this place is very conducive to any type of group energy. Also, there's so much scenery and seating, it's soooo beautiful - great for pictures. We made reservations since we were a group of 6 including 2 infants, and these were warranted as the restaurant progressively filled up as we got closer to peak brunch hours. We were offered a large booth, which was appreciated as we needed space for the babies. The food here tasted quite good. My wife ordered the Pork Belly Benedict, which offered tender-crisp, thick slices of braised pork belly atop soft, buttery focaccia and coated with well poached eggs and creamy hollandaise. We both highly enjoyed my Broadlands Breakfast Sandwich, a clever take on a standard bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich swapping crispy, perfectly sweet French toast for standard bread. The breakfast potatoes served alongside were crispy on the outside with fluffy interiors and good seasoning. Our friends enjoyed their sandwiches as well. As the name alludes, the drink program is strong and offers something for everyone. In addition to wine and whisky, a solid selection of both cocktails and draft beers are available. Prices for both food and drinks were quite reasonable given the quality of what we received. I do dock a star for just so-so service. Our waitress was a bit MIA during the first part of our meal when we were trying to order, and then kept checking in on us every 5 minutes once our food arrived. We also had to remind her a few times to get a high chair for our little one. Fortunately, the food and drinks all arrived accurately and within a timely manner once ordered. Service woes aside, the creative fare satisfied our taste buds and we look forward to returning soon for to sample more of the brunch menu and libations.
