    The roasted carrots...
    Amanda B.

This was our fourth time here and I was super excited but left severely disappointed. :( I thought this spot was a diamond in the middle of nowhere but obviously things have changed. We ordered the yellowfin tuna crudo and roasted carrots to start out with a glass each of Spanish Albariño. We had intentions to order a main course after. The wine came first and the the crudo a bit later. The tuna was paper thin! Based off the other photos on here, I expected something thicker. The flavors were there, but the there was barely any tuna... we didn't complain because maybe that was the new thing. But I took another 15-20 minutes for under cooked carrots to come out. We ordered them at the same time. The extensive time waiting in between the plates and after we were done kind of killed any eating mood we had come with. We were there for almost an hour. It was just weird. The food portions were underwhelming given the price. I don't mind small bites and actually prefer them, but the amount of time it took between two tiny plates ordered at the time that should have come out at the same time... just didn't make sense. I did ask about the thing tuna when we left, and they said that their cuts of tuna "vary".... Look at my photos vs. the others. It's not the same.

Great little restaurant in Middleburg. Food and drinks are amazing! We got the Labenah (A), Warm Tomato and Corn Tart (A), Mapo Pork Ribs (A+) and the Cucumber Salad (C). I'd stay away from cucumber salad...not much substance or flavor for $15...it's one cucumber with a fancy set up. Service is always great and their cocktails are delicious. Recommend the Bees Knees. Easy drive and always nice to get out of the fast pace of NOVA.

Lovely spot in downtown Middleburg. Doesn't stand out right away since it's quite small. Small plates with a very intimate dining room setting. Service was very efficient as all the dishes came right after one another. They need a livestream of all four chefs in the kitchen because they just look so efficient and friendly in their tiny cooking space. Will always look to come back here when I'm in Middleburg.

My friend and I were killing time downtown before our flights and were directed to Tremolo for a drink after stopping in the owner's pizza shop down the street. I would have loved to sit in the patio but my friend preferred indoors, which is where they lose a star for me. It smelled like a bad cleaning product inside, which was unfortunate because it's a beautiful space, but I just endured since we were in a/c. The service was impeccable and our server nailed the two recommendations he gave us. We sat up by the window and got to people watch which was fun. If we hadn't had just eaten lunch, they had some delicious sounding light bites that I would have loved to try.

Food was delicious but a little on the pricier side. Ordered four things for two people, bill was $130 and still left hungry BUT pleaded with what we ordered. Unique dishes presented well. Love the freshness of ingredients and the open kitchen concept

Tremolo is a wine bar with small plates food options. It's the creation of Jarad Slipp, who owns Knead Wine and Pizza, just down the street. He's worked in restaurants around the world and was the Estate Director at the RdV winery. Tremolo has a warm almost modern coffeehouse vibe to it. The wine list is solid and has great French, Italian, and Napa options. There are some local wines too, including the Hardscrabble chardonnay from Linden Vineyards. They have some interesting cocktails as well, but I didn't try any this time. Will be looking to check that out next time. Meat, veggie, fish, and cheese options are available for the small plates. There are also smaller "snacks" including marcona almonds. Standout dishes were: Cassoulet - with duck leg confit, sausage, and more pork. Great mix of hearty flavors with the extra juices absorbed by the white beans. This was their largest dish and served two to three people. Yellowfin Tuna Crudo - paired with calabrian chili, basil, pine nuts, spring onion and roasted garlic. The fish itself is perfect and the rest brought extra flavor without overpowering the fish. This dish serves two. Roasted acorn squash salad - paired with goat cheese and bacon lardons. Absolute flavor bomb. A great fall/winter dish. This dish was smaller and could easily serve just one. Service was excellent. Prices were what you would expect for the Middleburg area. Reservations can be made with the Tock app or via their website https://www.tremolobar.com/

Very nice! Nick did a great job walking us through the wine list, which is extensive. Had the shrimp, which came in a lovely spicy sauce. Follow that up with the pork ribs which were also quite good, and then a cucumber salad. The salad was unlike anything I've ever had before... Like a long marinated cucumber that was spiral cut. I asked what made this dish so special, and Nick said white me Sue, rice vinegar, lemon juice, and fried shallots. I've never had anything like this in my life, and it was phenomenal. Who would've thought the best thing here was a cucumber salad? BF and I also had a lovely glass of wine recommended by Nick. And of course BF thought we should try the dessert. Usually I only have one spoonful, but I think I ate half of it. Outstanding food, outstanding service.

Nice, clean and aesthetic restaurant. Honestly, I felt like I was in an upscale tasting room. The tapas were all tasty and delicious. But not enough choices to really fill up on unless it's a light lunch or dinner. It really is more of a snack as stated on their menus. I would consider this place to start my night for apps and cocktails rather than a meal. It's pricey but your paying for quality. *Chorizo-tasty and flamed but they were inconsistent with the amount of rum. Our table fire was high and took longer to burn as opposed the the table next to us. And your expected to turn the chorizo on a stick. I'm curious to see how long this process lasts without incidence. *pan con tomate-tasty, I enjoyed it. *lamb meatballs-flavorful, I liked the cucumber sauce. They have a nice wine list. Their pours are a little more than what you get at a tasting. But not enough to call generous. We would return if we're in the area. Your paying for quality and this place has a lot of potential.

    Overwhelming wine menu.

Went here for a heavy snack. The wine list is overwhelming. There is no way to order without asking for help from the server, and then what do you do? Are you going to ask them to describe all 50 or so wines on the menu?. No hint of what all these wines taste like not even a one line description is presented on the menu. If you are not a serious wine connoisseur you will be lost. The small plates tasted ok. I left hungry without having drunk any wine. Very expensive. Nothing for children at all, they don't even try a little bit to accommodate kids. Service was fine, the food was good. Far too pricey. Super expensive for what it is but I guess that is typical for Middleburg. I will not return. If you love wine and have a great knowledge of different wines from different locations this place would probably be great. As a casual wine drinker I found it completely overwhelming. I had no clue what to order and did not want to have my waiter spend an hour describing every selection. Decor is spartan, nothing special. Location is fine, the view of the foot traffic and tow is nice with the windows.

I would give our experience 6 out of 5 if possible! We were recommended to come here by some people in the wine industry, and I'm happy we took their word! Starting off, small restaurant but very elegant, modern, and clean. We came in, and we were promptly addressed and asked if we would like outside or inside. We chose outside as it was a beautiful evening, and the patio looked nice. The wine list is spectacular, and we were informed the food menu is more small plate style than a single large dish, which was great as we had the ability to try many good dishes. The food was outstanding, I wish we could have tried everything on the menu since it all looked and sounded good! Shout out to the tuna and the labneh as all-stars! Then the wine menu, which is extensive to say the least (and that doesn't include every single wine they offer!). The Sommelier and staff were fantastic at serving us, but the wine recommendations were out of this world, including several off menu offerings that were killer! I wished we lived closer as I would totally come here often, but I'm sure my wallet thanks me for not living too close!

Food took a little longer than expected but it was worth the wait. The red pepper pesto with linguine was creamy and rich and topped with fresh Parmesan. I only wish I'd had a piece of bread to sop up the sauce at the end! I'd be interested in trying their brunch and lunch options if I'm in the area again. Our server, Tom, was attentive. Fantastic! A "must try" and one we'll visit often…read more We're in the process of moving to Fburg and decided to have a nice dinner. I looked through Yelp and picked F132 as our first meal in the new town. Great choice! We didn't have a reservation, and it was Friday at 6pm, so we were placed on the bar seating wait list. We were seated in 20-25 minutes, which was super fast and great with us. Lesson learned for next time, make a reservation. But, if you choose or wind up at the bar, the service is great and seating is comfortable. The bartender was with us quickly and walked us through the Happy Hour specials. Drinks, apps, etc. they had a good variety of things in HH and many seemed interesting. But we were there for steak, so we let him know and he took our orders. In the meantime, he got us waters and bread service. While we waited, we watched the bar staff make some amazing concoctions including smoked old fashioneds, and all manner of flavors, textures, and mixtures. I don't really do cocktails but there were egg whites, chocolate sauce, fruits, mints and great presentations. They also were serving HH food and the Happy Dog looked filling: the truffle fries were served in what looked like multi-pound platters. I had the filet with French onion soup and corn salad. My wife had filet with mashed potatoes and black eyed peas. The bartender explained sides change frequently and are selected by what is available farm fresh. The corn salad was a sort of chilled street corn with some peppers and stuff. Very good and the corn was so fresh. French onion soup was delish! Absolutely perfect. Black eyed peas were great. I didn't try the mashed potatoes. The steak was the star. I don't know what's in their house rub, but it's perfect. And the steaks are cooked under an 1800 degree broiler so they get that perfect sear. Both were cooked at the perfect temperature. And the meat was trimmed so there was nothing but butter-tender beef. Let me be clear-THIS IS THE BEST STEAK I'VE EVER HAD! The service was perfect. My glass never fell below 2/3 full, and we never were waiting on service, but it was non intrusive and really made the experience so much better. A++! Wherever you are reading this, stop what you are doing, and RUN, don't walk to Fahrenheit 132. You'll thank me later.

I will say maybe they had so many staff members because they were doing training as different people came by our small table each time to ask questions and deliver the two items. But because with the influx of people, it seemed like there were like 10 people all just hanging around the bar waiting for customers and just very talkative. The bathroom here is very clean and nice to use the facilities. I am not a beer drinker, and the Baltimore beer I was splitting with my husband, was different... rimming it with old bay (yuk!). My husband said it was refreshing with a unique taste but wasn't for him or for me. We were not offered to switch it out so he suffered through. The mac and cheese was the same way, different, and not for everybody. Our little didn't like it and she is a mac and cheese connoisseur. We ended up leaving over half the dish there (again no one checked on us to see if we were satisfied with it). We flagged down someone to pay the check, so we could get back on the road. I think the prices were outrageous for what you get. I understand if the quality was greater or the experience was greater but the portions and what you got were, in my opinion, don't aligned. I just feel like the experience could've been better for a Middleburg restaurant or beer hall.
