As he was wearing a company shirt, I approached cautiously and put out my hand to introduce myself. Mr. Echeverria pulled me in for a full body hug. I cringed and pulled back. Mr. Echeverria asked about additional work being done in the house, and I him the newly laid tile floor. Mr. Echeverria made the remark that it was really well done and must have been done by Mexicans. I was taken aback and offended. I replied that the crew was Latino and did a wonderful job. Mr. Echeverria asked me if I'd given them Coronas (alcohol) and thought this was funny. Mr. Echeverria continued to make inappropriate and off color comments and about my boyfriend's presumed income level. Finally, Mr. Echeverria turned and asked me if I went out to bars and went dancing. I was horrified. I quickly asked him for my total. I suggested I could write him a check or put it on a card. He stated, "Oh, can't you do cash?" I was further alarmed. He wanted $6000 for replacing a junction box and smoke detectors. The master electrician & owner, Julio Echeverria, came out within 2 hours of being called. Gave me a fair quote without making me pay for his trip or time to diagnose my problem & estimate the cost of the repair. Came out next day (Sat) & did extensive work, replacing all my breakers. I thought Julio was very professional & had a good sense of humor. He & his team of helpers did great work, were very polite & cleaned up after themselves too. He has a very slight accent and spoke perfect English. Julio was the main person on the job, not leaving it to less experienced workers. He went above & beyond the job of replacing my breakers when he diagnosed a short in my house & fixed it. That was done at no extra charge & was not an easy task. We had him come out and give us a bid on replacing the breaker panel and having some additional outlets installed in our garage, not only was the price great but so was the service. We had a scheduled day and time set up for him to come out then the power went out and we gave Mr. Echeverria a call and he was able to come out sooner. I can't say enough about Julio and his crew. They were kind, accommodating, knowledgeable, and produced top-notch results. We upgraded our 100 amp electrical box to 200 amp, and the wiring job was so great we had to get pictures before they put the door on. They took the time to mark out every circuit, explain expansion options, and added a convenient outlet for no extra charge. Every wire was routed perfectly and everything was protected, unlike the last people who worked on it (they punched a hole and left the wire against a razor-sharp metal edge).
