The space is very truly a thrift shop--bit of everything everywhere in the main room, and it's very fun to walk around and look for little treasures! Kevin explained to me that he rearranges his shop pretty often (he cheekily calls the practice "funk shui") to get people's eyes on different items every time they come in. He tends to get his wares from estate sales, auctions, and considers himself a treasure hunter. And I must agree! Lots of treasures in Far Out, and I loved sifting through them. If you make your way in, you'll likely hear from Kevin that he's open to negotiation and bundling items for reasonable deals. He seems just to be genuinely excited to find cool items and give them new homes. And I appreciate that energy a lot. I came in looking, loosely, for some home decor as my husband and I outfit our home after moving back to Texas from Georgia. But nothing felt quite right on the decor side. We waited for the next available cashier. It was a really short wait probably less than five minutes. The cashier was friendly. We paid and we're on our way. We set up our Christmas tree after our Thanksgiving Dinner. My husband removed the tree from the box piece by piece. He spread out the tree limbs so that it would look more full. Once all of the ornaments and the star were put on the tree it looked really good. I recommend going there to check out the holiday decorations as there is a wide variety of items to choose from.

We go there for food a lot, and have also found some other great home items like egg holder, glass juicing bottles, or all natural laundry pods, and have also gotten many stuff for our furbaby. Aisles are small, sometimes floor staff will power walk through but generally I'll stand my ground until they're forced to say excuse me or hit me bc sometimes it seems like they just expect you to move without saying something if you seem them coming. Despite that, I really don't have much issue with floor staff. Checkout line can get long but they also have about 4 cashiers when I go so it goes fast. Cashiers are always friendly and nice.
