AWFUL customer service. I called around 11 AM on a weekday to place a pickup order and was met with unnecessarily curt and rude service on the phone. We ordered five wraps and a sandwich, but were informed that an 18% gratuity would automatically be added due to the "large order." This was actually two separate orders placed together for convenience--should we have just called twice instead? Regardless, we agreed to the charge. When I arrived to pick up the order, it took twice as long as the time we were told on the phone, resulting in a lot of waiting. The in-person service was also brusque and unfriendly. To top it off, the food was incorrect: the mini Cuban sandwiches were turkey instead of the pork advertised on the menu. Why an automatic gratuity charge was added to a pickup order was already surprising, but I could have possibly overlooked that had the service not been so unpleasant and the food had been true to what was advertised on the menu. Sadly, I can't recommend this place and won't be returning, not even for pickup. It felt like they were annoyed to have any orders at all. YUMMY!!! The avocado chicken press was stuffed and every single item just complimented each other. All ingredients tasted fresh. The wraps/sandwiches come with a side of pasta salad.. it's good, but I'm not a fan of pasta salad. My boyfriend swears by it, and eats there at least once a week. As good as the avocado chicken press was, I think I'd try everything on the menu until I found something I didn't like (if possible!) We were looking for vegetarian options after leaving John Pennekamp state park and this was located in a near by plaza. They had a tofu wrap and a Greek salad which we split. The options were a bit limited but glad to have found tofu. read more

In Key Largo the #vegan choices are minimal but this place offered of few great options. I had a pecan veggie wrap. It's mostly a take out joint; I took my food someplace with a view. The wraps & pitas come with a side of macaroni salad and the lady running the place was astute enough to realize that if I was ordering a vegan sandwich I would want a vegan side dish and she switched it for me and then told me about it after, which was absolutely perfect and I thank her. We stopped in yesterday to grab some lunch while we were driving from Key West to Miami. What a hidden gem! It's right off the highway and easy to get in and out of. We both had the vegan pecan, avocado wrap with a raspberry vinaigrette. Very tasty! They were even wrapped well enough that they were easy to eat in the car and each wrap came with a cup of pasta salad. They don't have a public restroom but it was a quick walk two doors down to the staples . I wish I could rate this place the 5 stars it deserves, but unfortunately the staff ruined this experience for me. I ordered two sandwiches for pick up. When I went to pick up my sandwiches, I decided not to add a tip since it was a pick up order & tips OPTIONAL, & the last behind the register said to me, "wow! You're not gonna leave a tip??" I was APALLED. I'm a college student on a budget, & usually if I don't have an actual waiter I don't usually tip. She made me feel so bad, & it ruined what would have been delicious sandwiches. Needing a quick bit for our dive, we dropped in for a quick sandwich. Its a small place with only one table inside and one or two outside - great for takeout though. A decent lunch sandwich selection with daily specials. We had the curry chicken pita and Waldorf chicken salad pita wraps. Both were delicious. I'd grab another sandwich from here again. Surprised that this place is rated so low. I love that they bring healthier options to Key Largo. Came here today with my boyfriend originally for a smoothie and ended up with a whole meal. We both shared a peach pear apricot smoothie which was delicious. I had the Cayo Largo Wrap & wished it wasn't overdressed by the mojo dressing. It took away the taste of the other ingredients. Theres much potential for this wrap with improvement. The split pea was decent & enjoyed its earthiness. The pasta salad was delicious! My boyfriend had the Curry Chicken Pita & he liked that it tasted fresh. Good contrast of texture with the apples, grapes & the alfalfa sprouts. Curry flavor was a bit strong & could be toned down. I had an egg salad sandwich on multigrain bread. My wife had the Thai chicken wrap with a spicy sauce. They have options without the spice too. Both items were fresh tasting and delicious. I love the owners, they are always happy to talk about your day and there hasn't been a single time that they haven't been there when I have gone in for lunch. I usually order the Thai Chicken Wrap with a mixture of sauce. The side of pasta salad is homemade and awesome. I don't really care for some of the extra stuff, like sprouts and kale, but I just ask for it to not be put on the sandwich.
