We ate here on a stopover to Key West and ended up ordering a variety of things. I got the Thai Chicken Wrap (but as I'm vegetarian, I substituted in Avocado for the Chicken and thoroughly enjoyed it), and other members of our party got different things. My brother got the Chicken Mojo wrap, we got a capri, two arabians, and one stir-fried tofu pita. Most of the people liked the food, but no one said I want to go eat here again. Honestly, if you're vegetarian, the options are fresh, healthy, and in a good price range. Everything is made fresh and to order, and I really appreciated that. I do wish that they had more seating available, or at least said somewhere that they have little to no seating, because that would have been helpful to know before we chose this restaurant. The pasta salad was ok, but again, nothing to write home about. I thoroughly enjoyed my wrap, as did my brother, but other people in our party didn't enjoy their sandwiches, most notably my mom who was not a fan of the Capri. Would I eat here again? Yes, but I'd probably steer everyone towards the wraps because those were the crowd favorite. read more

We recently went vegan and this little hole in the wall was listed on HappyCow as a good option. We had the Cayo wrap with tofu, well prepared and tasty tofu. Also had the Andean (think that was the name) sandwich - lots of fresh veg, tasty homemade hummus, GREAT bread. Solid option in the Keys if you're vegan. Warning tho, the woman who I assume is the owner brings her gruff NY attitude with her to paradise (I'm originally from NJ so I know!) I was taking a wee vacation to try and escape a shitty period in my life and between a dump of a hotel and a confused dive shop and then her going off on me about there was no way there was actual fruit in the smoothies at that price and did I know about her food costs (really? Hush up lady) it was not helping my mental state. We're all going through something but given other review of this place, I'd say her attitude is a permanent situation. We ordered 2 smoothies and they tasted pretty artificial. They are made with a premade blend of juice, water, and ice. Even if it's 100% juice, you can taste the prepackaged taste of it and the sugar. Mine was just banana and peanut butter and it was immensely sweet, so I'm sure the peanut butter was also the sweetened kind. Meh- this is the kind of "fake" healthy shop. They would step it up about 5 notches if they'd just use fresh, whole fruit in their stuff. read more

What a great place! Their Avocado Chicken Press wrap was fantastic, and healthy. Nice people, and their various hot sauces you can select from at the tables tops off the meal nicely. They also give you a nice cup of pasta noodles for free. read more

I've been eating 1 to 3 times a month at Eco-Eats for about 7 years. My wife and love the place and the owners. It's small and sometimes it's packed...but that's a good sign...not a bad sign. The food is fresh, varied, and delicious. If you order and pick up you can usually get in and out in under 10 minutes. It's a Keysie-type of place...meaning it isn't a cookie cutter franchise...and the customers are from all over the world...coming together to have a good healthy, quick, delicious, meal. It's really tough to have a long-term sustainable business in the Keys. Most new businesses go out of business within 3 months. New food businesses hardly ever survive. And this place has been around for like 10 years. That tells you something. If you're in the mood for a healthy meal, this is the place to go. read more

This lunch spot is hard to find (near a dive store, a dollar store & Walgreens, but tucked in a strip mall behind a gas station). But it is a MUST visit! Food was so fresh, they have many vegetarian and vegan options, and they definitely knew how to deal with our dairy allergy. Very little seating, but wasn't too crowded. We really liked this place! It is a simple sandwich/wraps/shake place, with fresh, sustainable ingredients. We were diving that afternoon, so wanted something not too greasy. I had the Capri for $5.95, and it was tomatoes, basil, mozzarella, with balsamic & olive oil drizzled on them, served toasted on whole grain bread. I liked this very much; it definitely hit the spot. We're thinking that we'll return there tomorrow AFTER diving, since I want the pineapple pina colada shake. My husband had the Eggwich for $5.95. It was an egg salad sandwich with sprouts and a dressing that we thought was balsamic vinaigrette, also served on whole wheat bread. He enjoyed this very much; the egg salad was flavorful and quite good. It was a counter service place, but the manager kept checking on us, so service here was excellent. I wanted to love this place! It is in a strip mall next to the dive store and I was ready for some healthy eats. The staff was friendly, but the food was just not special at all. The smoothie descriptions sound fabulous, but my Pineapple smoothie seemed to just be juice and ice blended. The lunch menu is limited and so I just ordered a salad. My salad was a bit small and was mostly just romaine hearts - some of which were browned on the edges. It just was not as fresh as I would expect. I have been here twice. It's a healthy alternative to the other fast food places in the area. There's an assortment of wraps, sandwiches, and salads. The staff are very nice and will check up on you to see if everything is alright. It's a small place so don't expect to eat indoors when it gets busy. There's two tables outside. read more

Eco Eats is a restaurant I would not recommend going to for a entire lunch. Sure, the service was okay and the wait was short, but I found many flaws which caused me to not enjoy and avoid my food. First, my chicken wrap was under cooked and tasted as if it came pre cooked then microwaved. They serve it to look very fresh/new and gourmet, but once you bite into the meal all that is disregarded. My wrap was still very very cold, with the tortilla barely warm. Also, the sauce inside of it dominated the rest of the flavor, which led the chicken and lettuce without taste. Along with my food, my drink was worst of all. I ordered a Chocolate Milk shake. Before I ate here, I never thought a milk shake could taste so fake. Sure, the texture was fine but it tasted so artificial I was only able to drink a small portion. I would not recommend getting a milk shake or smoothie. Finally, the water. When asking for water you are turned around to see a jar of water with a set of bathroom cups next to it. Of course, I expected a plastic cup from at least a water machine. Maybe that was to much too ask for? The cups used are paper cups you may find in your office or under your bathroom cabinet to wash out your mouth. The seating was fine, you only have one indoor table and two out door tables. This is an inconvenience if you are the third person in line, which you will have to eat standing up. Love Eco Eats! Cayo Largo wrap-every time. Great ingredients, and they will add additional sauces, which I just love! Fast and fresh.

The food here at Eco Eats is wonderful, however every time I call they are always out of the Waldorf chicken salad. They make a specialty chicken salad that everyone loves and they are always out of, as a business owner myself if you have a popular dish that you are constantly out of, it's my opinion that they should make more than normal. This is the only decent place to get a lunch in Key Largo I'm not joking. Lived here for two years most restaurants suck and are way overpriced. Eco eats is a good quality sandwich and priced well. I go once a week when I'm back in town it's a reliable good meal. You can try rolling the dice with the other joints in town but you'll be wasting your money unless you come here. I don't know what it is about Key Largo but no one knows what the hell they're doing in the kitchen these guys do. read more

Allergy alert. We came to this spot because it popped up on our search for allergen friendly options. My daughter has food allergies. On their website they claim to have vegan options (we need egg and dairy free as well as gluten, soy and peanut free). I asked what their wraps were made of, the response was "what do you mean?" I asked for the ingredient list of the wraps (because we have multiple food allergy concerns) and she said we don't have anything gluten free if that's what you want to know. Ok, well yes I wanted to know that but also have many other concerns, what I wanted to know what's the ingredient list which is what I asked for and didn't receive. Next I asked what the vegan options were and she listed 3 options- chicken salad (has mayo which contains egg), Waldorf salad (has mayo which contains egg), and I don't remember the name but it's literally their egg salad sandwich. Obviously these options are not vegan but she thinks they are. I immediately did not feel comfortable for obvious reasons. Their website advertises for vegan options but they don't know what vegan means. This place is not safe for your food allergy babies. Please eat here with caution. read more

Went to restaurant before a boat tour for a quick lunch and was not disappointed. Amazing food that is also healthy. Many great options on menu. Would definitely recommend to anyone stopping in Key Largo. Doesn't pop up right away if googling restaurants in key largo , but way better than popular/known ones. read more

This is just a review of the smoothies, we didn't order anything else. As reviewed by the last person the smoothies are made with a some frozen fruit, a splash of juice and ice. I also saw the guy add some water at the end (hidden behind the blender) to make sure it was blended all the way. It tasted very watered down and my husband's didn't have any taste at all. read more
