Food was fabulous! At our table we had the shrimp & grits, shrimp &mahi plate, and lobster tacos. All were delicious.

The restaurant is quite small and the temperature outside was too hot for us to sit outside. We managed to find seating inside at one of the four tables around 6:30 p.m. We ordered entrees and a soda. While the servers were friendly, they didn't offer us refills. The shrimp and grits were delicious - creamy and warm. The shrimp itself didn't have much flavor, but the sauce complemented it well. It was a satisfying meal, especially after a day out on the water. My dining companion, however, found the bang bang shrimp basket to be just "ok." Parking is limited, and if you use one of the massage parlor's spaces, they'll come out and ask you to move. Apparently, they offer massages into the evening. read more

The shrimp was excellent. A couple of us had the baskets and I had the po'boy. All great!! Two of us had the fish (basket and tacos). Unfortunately that wasn't as good. This was one of my favorite places, it was bought out a couple of years ago. Today I thought-let me see, maybe the 'growing pains' are over. I only have so much expendable income and if I spend it-I'd like to enjoy what I buy. I did want to email your restaurant directly but it is not an option on your website- #1-Shrimp is good. Sides are not so good. I had beans and rice and had I not had a drink I might have choked, they were so DRY. It was dry rice with a few dry (cooked) beans on top, no sauce at all. This IS the FL Keys, please visit Sunshine Market and learn how rice & beans are meant to seasoned and served. Shrimp and grits, again, shrimp was good. Gravy/Sauce had frozen peppers/onions, it tasted burnt, like that they were sautéed in grease, switched to new pan, liquid added, repeat 4 or 5 times and used for many days in a row-same process happening daily. I only want local businesses to succeed, when I moved here there was not one chain restaurant and would love to see it be back to that again. Support local businesses only. JP took such great care of us! I saw a photo of his brother on here and thought it was him! He looks just like his brother and I had to do a matching photo to post on here! He gave us a cool sticker and a stamp card. It was such a a nice surprise when he gave us 10% off our check just for being locals! I wished the rice a tad bit fluffier and not stuck to eat other and if it came with some lines on the side so I can squeeze some juice on top I did come in to try the smoked fish dip that I saw for happy hour a few months ago but that was gone and they didn't have the base for the crab soup It was a simple kinda cluttered keys style setting. I am sure the rest of their food is great but the point of my visit was to try the shrimp basket and to see if it was worth the hype. The shrimp is that good, had mine with fries and the had coleslaw with hers. The breading is more like a dusting really which is key here because it lets the flavor and sweetness of the shrimp shine. Served with a small plastic cup of cocktail sauce which provides a nice addition to the shrimp. Service was good and friendly. We sat outside and enjoyed a table with partial shade. Great place for shrimp tacos! It's exactly what I was hoping for, good food and casual atmosphere. There is seating under a cute patio area outside as well as some seating indoors (if it's too hot outside). This place is AMAZING!!!!! I never eat fried foods as most is shared with a fryer that isn't dedicated to GF. They used a light dusting of GF flour and fry in a dedicated fryer so you can get sweet potato fries or regular. The service was wonderful.
