I last reviewed this company back in 2017, but I recently needed their services again (why oh why…read moredo appliances stop working when you need them most??? WHY?). My stovetop had two of its five burners stop working, and my fridge was overdue for regular maintenance. Priority is one of the manufacturers' authorized repair companies for both appliances (that alone says a lot), and I remember how professional they were when they were last here, so I called them again. Shay is the dispatcher/scheduler who was able to get me an appointment fairly quickly, and Devon was the repairman who visited. Both were fantastic. I like how this company has been around for a long time, and how they guarantee their work and parts for 90 days. I like how Devon was so polite and respectful of my place, leaving it as neat - or neater! - than how he found it. I also liked how he took the time to show me a few maintenance and trouble-shooting hacks for my stove and fridge. Nice! My one issue: this company is pricey. I trust them, so I'm okay paying the costs, but yeah, the costs are steep. One thing I've never encountered before: they charge you per appliance, not per visit or by the hour. So say, if the repairman is there to check on the stove, there's the charge for that. If he's done in 10 minutes and you want him to also check on an oven or fridge or exhaust - even if it's just a tiny issue, - they'll charge you again for that service. (Usually, in my experience, companies charge by the hour, and there's a one-hour minimum charge plus one "visit" charge. Once the guy is there, you got him for an hour and they can check as many issues as can fit in that one hour. Not this company, alas). Again, I trust Priority, and I know they back up their work, so I'm okay with this pricing, but it's important to know this going in, especially if you have multiple appliances that need to be looked at.

For appliances that aren't used often, you may not even discover a failed repair until that window has passed. They also do not stand behind the parts they install, leaving customers completely unprotected. Each service call costs $317, and once the 90 days are over, you're on your own--even when it's clear the repair didn't last. This was an expensive and frustrating experience. Consumer aware!

Customer support: Shane was very accommodating in terms of scheduling/ changing appointment. He also called back really promptly. Services: Shane was unable to resolve the problem for me. He pulled the fridge out and looked at the back where the compressor was, checked the resistance, and said I needed a new fridge. He also said it could be computer board error and would be very pricey and may cost as much as a new fridge. I wasn't convinced as my fridge is relatively new (5 years) and on the market now is still around $3000. I sought a 2nd opinion with another company (that was recommended by a hardware store that said that other company services Fisher & Paykel appliances). The other repair company came and fixed it within 30 minutes (they knew exactly what was wrong based on the error code; it was simply the defrosting element that malfunctioned.. hence defrost error, my fridge has no more error since the element was replaced). Cost: He offered one of the most competitive call-out rate. He charged me for the call out rate and didn't charge me for labour since he couldn't resolve my issue. Overall, I appreciated the customer service and the courtesy of not having charged labour. But I did have to call for another company and according to them was a simple fix hence the lower rating.

I received terrible service from Simplyfix. I booked an…read moreappointment online. The follow up in text was very fast. However the technician was very late in setting up my appointment. He was supposed to call me by 9:30. I heard from him after ten. The stated 2 hr window turned I to four with him arriving late for that. He partially took apart my dryer then stripped a screw. He advised me that he couldn't finish the job because he needed a special tool. I took the screw out in about 15 seconds with the proper sized Phillips screwdriver. He also knocked over my recycling bin leaving the mess all over the floor. I messaged the company about the issue and they have ghosted me leaving me with a partially disassembled non working dryer. I would reccomend that you stay as far from this company as possible.

Very quickly, he got the fridge up and running, cleaned the blockages out of the dishwasher, determined that the dryer was fine (but that the lint vent needed cleaning), and that the washer was suffering from a damaged drum mount that would cost almost as much to repair as buying a new machine. Oleg was prompt, friendly, efficient, thorough, honest, and happy to explain everything he was doing. Plus, his fee was extremely reasonable. He is now my go-to guy for fixing appliances!
