The entire course from tee boxes to greens including the fairway need a lot of TLC. It's a shame because it could be a great little Course..

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. They let workers come in and mishandle iguanas that were frozen in the state of torpor. They allowed people to come in and throw the iguanas into garbage cans, hurling them in the air, while laughing. When I called the golf club to address this issue, the person who answered the phone got very defensive telling me it wasn't the Eco employees, but workers of the state. She then proceeded to say " i have no further comment on this issue" addressing the fact that she was aware of this horrific incident. I will not support a golf course who condones animal abuse. I wish I could give this place 0 stars. It is a total DUMP! The club house (if you can call it that) is filthy and the course is unplayable. No tee boxes to speak of, just dirt. No fairway grass and the little that exists is all dead. The greens are unplayable and sprinkled with something that looks like kitchen cleanser. There is dead landscaping everywhere creating all sorts of safety issues and the place stinks of sewer gas. The course should be certified as "under construction". Don't waste your money ruining your clubs on these awful conditions. People should be warned when making a tee time that the course is a complete mess read more

I've played Eco before and for a local par 3 course it was fairly kept up except for the main building. Not sure what happened however the place is so unkept, parking lot and entry looks like it was closed and abandoned years ago. Not sure how the town or operator can allow such deteriorating conditions. The staff is friendly and most likely embarrassed to be there. I realized since my golf game is substandard at least I can surround myself by a well kept course. I will not be returning. It's obvious when you show up on a beautiful march day mid afternoon and the place is deserted things aren't going well. read more

This 9 hole coarse could be the best in Hollywood if some one would take time to work on it The greens are a disaster , some greens have firearms on them.most tee boxes also covered in fire ants No grass on greens and the grounds keeper was chasing behind us with the mower cutting them We thought , Cutting what Sand and weeds ? Bang for your buck! some friends asked if I wanted to join the group for a round of 9 last weekend down at Eco. I was told to send 20 bucks ahead of time for the golf. I asked if that meant we planned to walk it and the answer was heck no, the 20 included the cart too! Heck of a price for sure. We got there a little early so we had time to check the place out. The practice green was nice. It helped get some confidence going in my short game. After a few puts we went in for a drink at the bar and confirm our tee time. Drink price was good. Customer service was a little grumpy but in a good way. The people working were about getting the job done and not a whole lot of fake pleasantries. Once the one fella at the register heard I was retired Army He gave me a stout salute which was kind of 'em. We hit the links right after. The course was spotty. As a local course that cost 15 dollars I didn't expect it to be perfect though. It was maintained though, decent grass and fairways. They could spent a couple bucks updating new signage and such just to add a little class. But we knew where to go. I only lost a couple balls and had a blast. Actually it was so fast we played a second 9 holes(which was a discount to go again). I look forward to the next tee time. read more

This is a quirky 9-hole course. The fairways are fairly narrow on the longer holes, and doglegs make them tricky. There are also some water hazards that gave me trouble. I'm not a very good golfer, but I didn't expect to lose as many balls as I did. The greens are not in very good shape. The course was not crowded on a weekday in February and I played half the round by myself before another single golfer joined me. Making a reservation was easy and the person who checked me in was friendly. I had a good time. It's a good place to work on accuracy. Just bring plenty of balls. read more

Great little find! Nice, easy, fun 9-hole executive course. $13/person, including a golf cart. The lady at the front was very friendly. The course smells kinda weird at certain holes because it's next to a water waste plant, but I overall had a great time on the course. Don't expect the greens to be top notch, you get what you pay for. But I will definitely be back. A lot of iguanas everywhere!! It was pretty empty on a Saturday afternoon, so we finished in about an hour and a half. read more

This a great course for those starting out or not taking the game too seriously. Not a tough course. With that said, it is a bit run down and next to a water treatment plant so there maybe some unpleasant smells along the way while you golf. It is $17 for 9 holes with a cart so, not much to complain about for that price. there are a to of iguanas on the course (do not fret!). read more

This is a great 9 hole course that is owned by the City of Hollywood and ran by a concessionaire as these type of contracts go out to Bid. The same group that run this course run the Hollywood Beach Golf Resort about a half mile away. The difference is that is an 18 hole course better greens and here you have to endure the smell of sewage as this is in front of the City of Hollywood sewage treatment plant. What you probably don't know is the City sells this service to other surrounding Cities and processes their sewage as well. First time on the actual course yesterday. My husband plays and allowed me to come along for the ride on the cart. It also gave him the opportunity to have me chase lost balls as well as find new ones as we were the last group going out for the day. If you want to book a tee time it is very easy to do this online. Very well priced and nice if you are short on time as it is only 9 holes. Recently both courses got all new Golf carts. Next year it is promised that the City will fund some very over due maintenance this course is in bad need of a face lift. Also as for the greens my grass at home is nicer. read more

this is easily the worst golf course i have ever been too in the 50 years of my life. I have never had such a worse time golfing in dirt. i don't even know where to start. there was more dead grass and straight dirt on the golf course then regular grass. it smelled awful and i will never be spending my money there again. I recommend anyone that thinks of going here to think differently. this place doesn't even deserve a star read more

fun little course good for practice/warmup + nancy is the best and made it worth the trip

Eco is the perfect little 9 hole course for a quick round. It's not a luxurious course but I didn't expect much when I paid $12 per person (including cart) on the Golf Now app and considering this is high season it was a steal. The course was emptier than I thought it would be which was a pleasant surprise, and most of the holes are challenging without being difficult. This is strictly no-frills so bring your own drinks, food, everything but if your aim is to get in a decent and inexpensive 9 holes then Eco is a good choice. One thing to note - there must be a sewage treatment plant nearby because the clubhouse and first hole smell kind of bad, but once you get past that you won't notice it. read more

This course is a short executive style course. Inexpensive and easy walk the greens are not that great but it can be played quickly after work or for practice maybe a good course to learn on too. read more

This has to be the WORST golf course I've played on. Fairways ok, but the greens are a total disaster. It looks like their greens were taken over by weeds and a disease, so they have moved them onto the fairways, just ahead of their actual spots. Grass unkept, burnt and the club rentals they gave us were cheap and damaged beyond their usefulness....dented, dinged, bent, filthy and instead of replacing the grips, they just painted over them and the black comes off in your hands. RUN AWAY and find something better in the area. read more

I play golf at least twice a week - shoot in the mid to upper 80's so I'm a good judge of courses... Eco Golf Course is perfect for working on your short game. I just played it for the first time....The fairways are tight but reward an accurate shot, the greens are in great shape....landscaping is well kept...as I drove thru it, I realized its old-Florida...the way Florida looked BEFORE "progress" leveled everything....thick under brush, mangroves, challenging water hazards!! Its certainly a 3 or 4 star exec course! Instead of spending $8 to 10 bucks hitting range balls, THIS course allows you to work on long irons, short irons, chipping and putting - in about an hour & 1/2...its 9 Holes!! Git 'er Done!! I found this course by accident.....a client flying into Ft. Lauderdale was delayed 2 & 1/2 hours. Whatta ya gonna do? .I changed from a suit & tie into some shorts, played 9 holes, cleaned up in the laboratory, and turned back into Clark Kent just in time to pick up my client!!! And the staff (Charlene?) was as charming as ever, very helpful and informative. I'd play this course again in a heartbeat! read more
