Update: This company went from a great experience, to the worst experience. My secondary heat…read moresource went out during the winter and I called for a service checkup. After about 15 minutes of work I was told the condenser had to be replaced due to mice chewing the electrical wires. I could understand this. Here is where the issue comes in. The technician first said it would be $3400 to replace. He then went to his truck and came back to tell my wife it would actually be $8,000, but they added a discount so I would Pay $6,000. The total cost of the whole install (condenser unit + 4 wall units) was 12,000. So just to replace the condenser is over half the cost of the initial install. I called to complain and spoke with the service manager. The service manager essentially explained to me that this was accurate because if they did the install today it would be 23,000. So they evidently had a 100% price increase. I then explained the invoice showed the unit itself as 2,000 and then labor as 6,000. He explained to me that was untrue, that due to the new invoice system they have, they can just put numbers anywhere essentially, so I should ignore the invoice. I explained my frustration and how that does not make any sense and I am not paying 6,000 for a condenser and labor. He said he understood and would escalate it higher and I would get a call later that day or the next. It's going on 3 days now and I have not heard back. This company went from one of my top rated to near highway robbery. I cannot reccomend them to anyone at this point, and will need to look into alternatives to get my heat back in the winter.

The guy who answered the phone gave me the voice like he just woke up and or was stoned, didn't want to be bothered, was rude not helpful at all. Steve and his company installed our mini-splits in my house over a year ago in December/January…read more24/25. We paid $20,000 for two units. They worked fabulously for the first 8 months- we live in a Cape Cod built in the 50s with no heating devices upstairs. The bedrooms were warm and cozy in the winter, and cool in the summer. And they were so quiet! However, since installation, Ash has been flaking and ghosting me on appointments! So the background is that our mini-splits started pumping out cold air in mid-November '25. So I called for a service request, they came out, fixed it, and it only worked for a few days. I called for another service request a few weeks before Christmas, and I was told that someone would be at my house on a Friday - and no one came out, or called me to let me know they weren't. The next day I called, and they said they would come out that day [Saturday]. Their van broke down and they weren't able to come out, so Steve said he would come to my house the following day. He basically ghosted me all day until 6pm; he was out of state, and he nonchalantly replies "I was going to [come out to you] but the boiler [at my in-laws' house] had other plans for me lol." So he tells me that he would be at my house the next day, and he was and he did temporarily fix the mini-splits. He also told me that he would text me every day for a couple of weeks to make sure it was still working - and he didn't. The mini-splits broke down again. So one of his techs comes out to service it, it doesn't get fixed, and they said they "made an appointment" for April 1st. April 1st comes by, and no one has called or texted me about my service appointment. I tried to be nice and patient and give them a little time, so I wait until April 7th to text Steve, and I get ghosted again. So I call the business last week. He sounded like he understood my frustration, and said after he hung up with me, that he'll text me an appointment date. He doesn't. So I call the next day, and then he tells me we would have an appointment today on the 21st at 930 - and he doesn't show, and he ghosts me through text, and when I call the business, I get an AI voice mail instead of speaking to an actual person. So I now I have $20,000 mini splits in my house that don't work and I need to find a new HVAC company. It takes a lot for me to even leave a 1 star review, let alone a 1 star and an actual written review. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt over and over again, but since they're ignoring me, I don't really have any other choice.

My Mom's refrigerator wasn't making ice or dispensing water, and had a slow but steady water leak…read more From the get-go, Kim at CP&H was great, sending someone out as soon as she could, explaining the service call fee, and that we'd get a text when he was on his way. The technician suggested getting a new filter, which was definitely needed, but it didn't fix the issue, so I called again a few days later. Kim had a tech over within the hour. Turned out it was owner Joey Rogers and he zeroed right in on the problem: the water line to the fridge had been turned off for some reason! Duh!! An ice-making, water-dispensing refrigerator needs a running supply of water! (Now, to be totally fair, the first guy was still in training and not having yet had multiple on-the-job experiences, I could see how easy it would be to overlook the most obvious answer. It's like calling tech support with a computer problem: a newer guy might first look for a more complex solution. The seasoned pro simply asks: "Is it plugged in?") As Joey made sure the water/ice dispenser was working properly, I went into interview mode, learning more about his company's history, their service area, the number of staff, etc. -- and I tell you, if I didn't love my job, was 30 years younger, and wanted a secure future -- I'd seriously look into the plumbing profession! When he left (saying there was no further charge), I said: "Well, welcome back to the old days!" You know when your local plumbers, electricians and the like genuinely saw their work as more than just a job, taking the time and care needed to make you a loyal, longtime customer. Kudos to all at CP&H!

Everything went according to plan, in fact installation was done sooner than expected. Bob has an AMAZING crew to install! They showed up on time, respectful and professional. Rain and thunderstorms were scheduled the next day, so they went above and beyond and stayed until the job was complete, 12 hours! I also want to add there was no mess to clean up! My husband and I were so impressed with this whole process! I highly recommend Bob Carlson and his crew. You won't be sorry! We're already inquring about our next project!

I thought they had a special tester. I was wrong about special tester. Ultimately I could have tested it. But the tech was detailed in his diagnoses and explanation and the Ignitor was replaced. Afterwards I found the price charged me was 3 times retail at H-D. I am a retired electrician. They tried to also sell me the controller that had no issue other than it was old. I said no... because I am an electrician, and I can swap that if needed, it's just a relay unit. Then realized after they quoted me 3 to 4 times retail $ on that item too. The techs are knowledgeable and appreciate their work, but their parts pricing is too much. I recommend them for their knowledge.
