Just before the New Year this past winter we had Call the Bee (a plumbing company we'd used in the…read morepast) come out for a whole house main drain clog. We received a call back right away and they sent out a technician that afternoon. He was clean, courteous & upfront about the plan to clear the clog and the companies pricing. After the snake didn't clear the clog he used a camera and then a water jet to clear our line. Unfortunately the problem returned very shortly after and having lost faith that Call The Bee was able to fix our problem we called another local company. They came out same day, cleared the line and charged approximately the same price. Feeling like we shouldn't have had to have another technician out so soon and incur another charge, we reached out to Call The Bee and spoke with them. Yes, we should have given them a chance to fix the problem instead of calling another company but as I stated, we'd lost faith in them. But, we , I, was wrong. They (Call The Bee) were more than responsive to our problem. Took the time to hear us and wanted the invoice from the second company we called. Lo and behold one week later a check for the ENTIRE amount of our second plumber (slightly over $1,000) was sent to us. Call the Bee truly did all they could to rectify the situation and leave us as satisfied customers.

This indicates a problem with the sensor. C and G, a Veissman specialist, came and washed the boiler. They left and the boiler still did not function, They came back and reprogrammed the unit away from the settings that I wanted to those which would cause no hot water in the summer. They left and the unit still did not work. After I called them again, they decided that they should address the sensor for an additional 700 dollars. I do know that I will never use them again. Incidentally, it took them 4 hours to reprogram the boiler during which the tech frequently tried to sell additional services

I called my local guy who said I needed refrigerant -so he added it twice. No help. I called another guy who said I needed a new motor which he replaced. No help. I was so frustrated because we were in a heat wave. I talked to a buddy at work who recommended C&G. They came out fast. Their technician didn't look outside the house like the other 2 yahoos did, he looked inside the house and found a clogged filter inside the air handler. Presto -that was all. I signed up for my HVAC service with C&G immediately. I had an appointment with them today for my annual service- the time window was between 10:30 and 12:30. Guess who pulled into the driveway at 10:35? Great service, a nice polite gent who was professional and thorough. Thank you C&G !

Steve and his company installed our mini-splits in my house over a year ago in December/January…read more24/25. We paid $20,000 for two units. They worked fabulously for the first 8 months- we live in a Cape Cod built in the 50s with no heating devices upstairs. The bedrooms were warm and cozy in the winter, and cool in the summer. And they were so quiet! However, since installation, Ash has been flaking and ghosting me on appointments! So the background is that our mini-splits started pumping out cold air in mid-November '25. So I called for a service request, they came out, fixed it, and it only worked for a few days. I called for another service request a few weeks before Christmas, and I was told that someone would be at my house on a Friday - and no one came out, or called me to let me know they weren't. The next day I called, and they said they would come out that day [Saturday]. Their van broke down and they weren't able to come out, so Steve said he would come to my house the following day. He basically ghosted me all day until 6pm; he was out of state, and he nonchalantly replies "I was going to [come out to you] but the boiler [at my in-laws' house] had other plans for me lol." So he tells me that he would be at my house the next day, and he was and he did temporarily fix the mini-splits. He also told me that he would text me every day for a couple of weeks to make sure it was still working - and he didn't. The mini-splits broke down again. So one of his techs comes out to service it, it doesn't get fixed, and they said they "made an appointment" for April 1st. April 1st comes by, and no one has called or texted me about my service appointment. I tried to be nice and patient and give them a little time, so I wait until April 7th to text Steve, and I get ghosted again. So I call the business last week. He sounded like he understood my frustration, and said after he hung up with me, that he'll text me an appointment date. He doesn't. So I call the next day, and then he tells me we would have an appointment today on the 21st at 930 - and he doesn't show, and he ghosts me through text, and when I call the business, I get an AI voice mail instead of speaking to an actual person. So I now I have $20,000 mini splits in my house that don't work and I need to find a new HVAC company. It takes a lot for me to even leave a 1 star review, let alone a 1 star and an actual written review. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt over and over again, but since they're ignoring me, I don't really have any other choice.

The technician suggested getting a new filter, which was definitely needed, but it didn't fix the issue, so I called again a few days later. Kim had a tech over within the hour. Turned out it was owner Joey Rogers and he zeroed right in on the problem: the water line to the fridge had been turned off for some reason! Duh!! An ice-making, water-dispensing refrigerator needs a running supply of water! (Now, to be totally fair, the first guy was still in training and not having yet had multiple on-the-job experiences, I could see how easy it would be to overlook the most obvious answer. It's like calling tech support with a computer problem: a newer guy might first look for a more complex solution. The seasoned pro simply asks: "Is it plugged in?") As Joey made sure the water/ice dispenser was working properly, I went into interview mode, learning more about his company's history, their service area, the number of staff, etc. -- and I tell you, if I didn't love my job, was 30 years younger, and wanted a secure future -- I'd seriously look into the plumbing profession! When he left (saying there was no further charge), I said: "Well, welcome back to the old days!" You know when your local plumbers, electricians and the like genuinely saw their work as more than just a job, taking the time and care needed to make you a loyal, longtime customer. Kudos to all at CP&H!
