The Eco-Irrigation team are professionals, give them a chance to prove it! I don't write reviews, this is my first. I'm probably like you, not hesitating to use various review sites prior to making a significant purchase. The service these sites provide is great but I understand you have to read between the lines of what a reviewer's motivations maybe and realize a business's ranking will vary significantly between sites and the number of reviews skewing the total rating. With that said, in the spring of 2013 I tired of dragging a hose around my property which I did for years deciding to wait until I completed my land and hardscapimg projects around the house. After doing my due diligence via search engines and review sites I contacted five irrigation system providers servicing my area. All that were contacted rank highly across the various sites with the exception of Eco-Irrigation. On one review site in particular Eco-Irrigation had a review that really concerned me but I wanted to include a quote from a company that was a Rain Bird dealer. Eco-Irrigation responded to my request for an estimate, called to set a next day appointment and showed up as promised. Dennis discussed my needs, measured and provided a quote. Two other top rated companies responded to my request for an estimate, showed up on the promised days although considerably missing appointment times. One provided a quote. The other wanted me to email them a copy of my lot survey that they would use to provide the quote which they did email a quote a week later. The forth of the top rated companies called over a week after my initial inquiry asking me "have we been out to estimate your property yet?" They did eventually come out and provided a quote. The fifth company contacted for a quote never called back or showed. Dennis from Eco-Irrigation is a principle with the company and a "Salesperson" personality. He's going to try and close the deal before he leaves as I would hope any representative of a good service company to do. Since he was the first to arrive I insisted that I was not making a decision until all that were contacted had an opportunity to provide their quotes. Before Dennis left I mentioned the disturbing review and how it concerned my wife and me. His explanation of that review was sincere and from the heart. After evaluating the received quotes Eco-Irrigation was selected, not the lowest or the highest price. They scheduled an appointment for their irrigation system designer to come out to prepare a CAD drawing. A detailed system and design drawing for an 11 zone system with both sprinkler heads and drip irrigation was provided on time. My property is not large but does have separate grass, flower, vegetable, and cactus bed areas. While my landscaping is not zeroscaped a key concern was not wasting water and specifically I did not want spray heads that misted water indiscriminately. Installation was on time and performed by a professional crew which made understandable and appropriate on-site decisions to work around hardscapimg obstacles. Installation took two days and included fine tuning the heads and controller panel. I'm writing this review today after emailing Eco-Irrigation inquiring about scheduling winterizing my system, Liza called me back the same day. During the call I mentioned one of my zones in the front lawn with a head in the lowest part of a zone would drain water onto the side walk and into the street as water in that zone emptied out and wanted to know if anything could be done so water wasn't bleeding off to a non-targeted area. Lisa scheduled a next day service call. A tech showed up on time, understood my concern and swapped the head out in minutes for a check-valve head addressing my concern. Let me apologize for such a lengthy review, as I said I don't write them and close with that unannounced to Eco-Irrigation I've been professional in the lawn care industry for over thirty years. I normally don't review products or services, but my recent experience has left me completely bitter. We had our irrigation system installed a little over a year ago and were extremely pleased with the service we had received. Unfortunately, we recently had some issues with one of our zones and had to place a service order - we were quoted a price of $65 plus parts which seemed pretty reasonable. When the gentleman (Jerry) showed up to repair our system, my husband asked him about a puddle of standing water only to be told it was from our washing machine? It didn't seem logical at the time, but my husband brushed it off thinking that once the zone was repaired the water would disappear. Not the case at all - over the next several days, we noticed the puddle had increased in size and was now spreading across our yard - we paid for a professional plumber to come out thinking that it may somehow be our washing machine only to be informed that the issue with our irrigation system had not been fully resolved. I placed another service order to have him come back out and address the standing water issue and he replaced a loose valve (which had nothing to do with our washing machine!). We thought this was the end and were told if we had any other issues to call his personal cell, not the office, and he'd be right out. This turned out to be the beginning of our nightmare...the problem spread to our front yard flooding our driveway, sidewalk area and street and left several puddles of water in our backyard. My husband called Jerry and schedule several appointments with him to come back out and take a look at the problem, only to be stood up...meanwhile, we're watering the street and flooding our back and front yards! My husband had to call him to find out that he was unable to come out on two occasions - completely unprofessional considering the amount of $ we spent on this system, the time my husband took off from work to be at home and available for him to come repair our system at his leisure, and our increased water bill. I finally had enough and called the office this afternoon after my husband informed me that he didn't show up again - thankfully, the office staff contacted him and a supervisor to have him come address the issue at the end of the day. I was ready to pay a professional to do it right the first time and be done with this ordeal. This is a prime example of how one bad apple can spoil the bunch, up until a month ago, I had nothing but pleasant things to say about this company. However, after this experience, there's no way that I would honestly recommend this company to friends/family. We received no apologies for the poor service/unprofessionalism or time my husband had to take off, no refund for the plumber we had to pay to come out....extremely poor customer service considering the price we paid for their product. read more

We recently had our sprinklers done by Eco Irrigation. I was pleased for the most part but did have some issues. First off, my appointment was delayed two weeks due to weather that put them behind in all of their projects. Fine, I can accept that. Then they were supposed to come out on Friday. Thursday night, I get an email that says they won't be there until Saturday, ok fine. Saturday they show up on time and begin their work. I had dinner plans that I had to cancel so that I could be there when they completed the job so they could teach me how to use the equipment and collect the rest of their money. I asked them what time that would be and they said between 5-7pm. Fine, I cancelled my dinner plans. At 2pm I told the workers that I was going to run out real quick but I would be back by 5pm and was told, "Don't worry about it, we're not going to finish today." I was a little bit frustrated after cancelling my plans but fine. Where I got really frustrated was when they came back two days later to finish the job. It was Monday and I had to take two hours off of work to come home so they could finish. They repeatedly told me that they had another job starting at noon and had to leave soon. Why was this other job more important to them than mine? I asked them to finish and they did but were obviously in a hurry. He asked me to check the wifi connection to the controller and while I was setting it up (took 3-4 minutes tops) he said, and I quote, "You'll have to figure it out later, we need to go to our next job." I told him, "Next job?! You haven't finished this one yet!" He agreed and hung out for a few more minutes so I could make sure the controller was working properly. I had to ask them to please clean up their mess as they had no intention of doing so. After they left, my kids still found cigarette butts in the yard and in the flowerbed. Not a huge deal but come on... please don't leave your trash all over my yard. I'm not sure if they fully tested the system before leaving in a hurry because just in the first zone alone, I have two sprinkler heads that are not functioning properly and I don't know if it's a design flaw or not but I have a whole strip of grass on both sides of my driveway that aren't getting any water at all. All in all, I was very pleased with the salesman that came out and met with us. He was very friendly and he worked hard to get us the system that we wanted and we felt well taken care of. Where I feel the wheels fell off was with the crew, whom I don't think represented Eco Irrigation as well as they could/should have. read more

We've done several projects with Eco Irrigation. It was so easy to do. Signed papers online, got diagrams/other papers online, Eco took care of permits, everything...very professional. Never had to leave our home. Previously, we spoke with two irrigation companies and they wanted to cut through our driveway and/or add water pumps. None of that extra was needed. Eco put the irrigation system in and used the top-rated products and, demonstrated how to use the system. We wanted grass front, back, and sides of the home. The grass was delivered in the early AM. Eco spread new soil and worked into the dark, finishing in one day. We called Eco to lay rock around a storage shed. Eco came to check out where to lay the rock and gave a bid. The man also checked the previous work to see if there were any problems. Eco properly prepared the area, laying a fabric to stop grass from growing through, put in borders to keep the rock in place, and did not skimp on the rock making sure there was plenty. We wanted a border for the grass on the sides of the home. Again, Eco was quick to respond and the guys did a super job. I noticed a sprinkler head seem to malfunction. I called Eco and a man was there at 7:30 AM and replaced it. He asked if there were any other problems and offered to check. He looked at the grass and gave new watering instructions. We like that when ECO arrives for a service or new project, they inspect the previous work. We will be doing other projects and we want Eco Irrigation. Really, they are that good. read more

Simply Amazing!!! Who knew an irrigation company could do such great rock work!!! I was initially hesitate to hire Adam to construct my patio as his company is primarily an irrigation company. And yes! I was hesitate because of the mixed reviews. But, Adam quickly demonstrated his knowledge of landscaping work and had pictures to prove it. And he did not act as described in the negative reviews. After all was done, I am glad I hired them. Adam's team created two flagstone patios and two flagstone walkways (one cemented and mortared and the other in crushed granite). Everything looked perfect. Here is why I would recommend them: 1) Adam has a great way of explaining options in laymen terms. 2) They offer competitive pricing with multiple options to keep your budget. 3) Adam was quick to respond to all my messages and questions. 4) Adam constantly keep me in the loop with purchasing materials and made me feel like I was involved every step of the way. 5) Adam's rock work team, which includes Juan, had a great eye for details, show that they have experience, and.the workmanship was precise.. 6) Adam and his team had great suggestions. If you are looking are a company to build a flagstone patio and/or walkways, call these guys. They are great!!! read more

I've had 2 experiences with Eco Irrigation, both of them excellent. Jacob (the irrigation specialist) originally came to my home (right on time), for an irrigation audit and to fix some nozzles that weren't doing their job. However, my biggest concern was a large brown spot on one side of my otherwise green backyard, and a couple of brown strips in the front as well. He suggested adding a new sprinkler head in the backyard to take care of the brown spot there, added one in my front yard and relocated another in my front yard to give it optimal coverage. I received a very fair quote and had Eco Irrigation do the work. The following week, Jacob arrived again, right on time, went immediately to work, and about 2 1/2 hrs. later all the installation work, readjustment/replacement of sprinkler heads and additional nozzles was complete. I believe the job was quality work (my yard wasn't torn up to install new sprinkler heads), and Jacob was very personable and efficient. The only downside (for me), is that Eco Irrigation doesn't offer any type of discounts for senior citizens. However, that's certainly not enough to change my 5 star rating. I highly recommend Eco Irrigation for excellent work at a fair price. read more

I've read all the reviews that have been posted and all I can say is "WOW" I'm truly shocked as this was not my experience at all. I've been using Eco for the past 3 years and they have been great. In 2011 Dennis came to my home to price irrigation for the entire yard. The price was perfect and they got the job. The office employees, field staff and owners were the best. They return twice a year for winterization. I had a french drain installed by the landscaper that didn't work so I contacted Adam for a reference to fix the french drain. Adam said his company could do this work so he came out looked at what need to be done and corrected the problem and no more water sitting at my front door. Now I needed landscaping and SOD done in my front/side yard. Who did I call "Adam at Eco!" They did the most amazing job that I won "YARD OF THE MONTH" from my HOA. They also build a 20'X20' playscape in my backyard for the kids play area. If that is enough said about Eco I'll continue. In the summer of 2013 Eco installed a complete irrigation system and SOD in my sons yard. Then I recommended them to my husbands boss. They have never disappointed, over charged or been rude. read more

I met Eco Irrigation's sales representative, Dennis, at my home while it was under construction. Dennis arrived promptly and showed me the type of Rain Bird equipment that would be installed. The equipment was of commercial grade quality. He explained the components and instillation process. I showed him where I would put flower and vegetable beds. He said that I would receive a CAD drawing of the system shortly and I did. Since we were not sure when closing on our home would take place, we gave him an approximate date for instillation. It took a little longer to close and had to move the instillation date out a couple of weeks. They were very accommodating. Our dealings with Lisa at their office were very pleasant and professional. As promised, the instillation crew was prompt and extremely hard working. At the end of the day the irrigation system was up and going. One of the crew, Jerry, was very competent in communicating the instillation process and how to use the controller. The clean-up at the end of the day was done very well. During this heat wave and national drought, we needed a professional company that could assess the effectiveness of our sprinkler system to help conserve water and still cover the dryer parts of the yard. We called and were lucky to get someone available the same day a few hours later. Both the person who took our call and request for service, as well as the technician who came out, were extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. When they came out they performed the exact service we requested, found a few small problems with sprinkler heads and generally adjusted our system. They even helped us get our programming set to better conserve water. This was one of the easiest property jobs I've ever had to deal with and is a primary reason I continue to depend on Eco Irrigation as my go-to experts for my lawn. Another equally important factor is that pricing is always fair and never bloated with fees or unnecessary fees or services. I am actually surprised to read any bad reviews for ECO IRRIGATION. I cant say enough about this company. From the sales consultation to the install and lastly their customer service was top notch. We have a new home and a new lawn I laid myself just a few short months before we decided to add an Irrigation system. I was hesitant to tear up my new lawn. We got an AMAZING deal and were able to finance 100% of it. They use top quality parts too with a transferable 10 warranty. The crew did an amazing job to insure the integrity of my lawn. When they where done you could hardly tell they where here. They cut strips of the lawn and replaced them back when they were done digging. They cleaned up extremely well. Just a few days later I had to call them back because I hit one of the lines with my edger... totally my fault. But they fixed the line at no charge. I thought that was cool. Lisa is pretty amazing too. Every time I needed to call, she was right there to answer. My hat is off to the entire ECO IRRIGATION team. Only good things to say about Eco Irrigation, my systems works great! They started our relationship by showing up on time to look at my yard and provide an estimate. I had ask 3 companies to come out and bid on my business and the other two companies were either late to this first meeting or rescheduled at the last minute. Eco always did what they said they would do, and everyone was so friendly and professional that I would recommend them without hesitation. Which I've already done a couple of times. From the first meeting to the completion and installation of my irrigation system you get the feeling that they truly care about each customer and go out of their to make things rights. Eco Irrigation is a true value for Austin. During the installation I asked for a couple of changes to the layout and zones in my yard and flower beds. No problem, and no hidden cost!!! We are very please with our system. Dennis came out the same week we called and meet with us. He answered all of our questions and was not pushy at all. We actually met with 3 other companys so we could make a good choice. One of the companys came out and basically told us we should choose them because they had the best rating, didn't go over any details with us, didn't answer questions, said their reputation should speak for its self - it did - we did not go with them. The 3rd company could never get it together to even come out and give us a bid. We called Dennis back and set our date - they even managed to come a week early because they had a change in schedule. We had our system put in, in September. The only thing is our grass in the back has not grown back, it it is a super shady area. We will probably be calling them in the spring to see if they can put some sod in for us. Dennis said that happens sometimes. So far we are pleased with our choice and would recommend to family and friends. read more

I prerfomed a search for an Irrigation System I contacted 5 companies, of the 5 only 2 replied Eco and one other company we slected Eco. Dennis came by in Oct 2012, we set up for install for the third week of Jan 2013. We recieved the cad drawing via email. We got a call from Lisa, to ask if they could come early I said sure. Eco showed up on the day and time as said in the phone call. We eleven stations the work was done in a day 1/2, very professional clean up was done very good. My only complaint was it was very cold that day the second was warmer I wish it could've wait one day for the workers .We are very pleased with our system and with Eco Irrigation. Eco Irrigation is like a one stop home improvement company because they can do practically anything for your yard! They gave us a great quote bundling the irrigation system and landscaping for our front and back yards. Dennis was extremely knowledgeable on the irrigation equipment, and after our initial meeting, we felt confident we were purchasing the best irrigation system available. Adam walked us through the landscaping process; including helping us design our flower beds, designing the stonework borders and walking through the nursery hand picking the trees and plants with us. The landscaping was coordinated perfectly with the irrigation system install. It was all done in a very timely and professional manner. The office staff and installation crews were easy to talk with and everyone did an outstanding job.
