We were experiencing a slow leak where the valves and other stuff is located for the irrigation system. A call to the city determined it was not their problem and they suggested a plumber. I called 360 plumbing and they came out and looked and determined they could not fix it because it was a sprinkler line problem. I called Eco Systems, they came next morning, dug around the box, found the leak, fixed it and everyone is happy. I was happy about the cost too, less than I was quoted for someone from two other companies to just come out and look! read more

Given all the great reviews, I'm extremely shocked and upset my experience wasn't so great. Everything up through the day of installation was fine. Dennis, the owner's father, was the sales rep that came to my house. He was extremely nice, but he certainly had his pitch and didn't really make me feel like he was there for my needs...just to make a sale. This assertion was verified at the end of his spiel when he said: "so the only question now is: will you be paying by cash or check?" He claims I called on the last day of a super winter sale and would give me the silver package for the bronze package price, which happened to be the same price as the other quote I got for the crappier equipment, so i wrote a check. I had a few questions for Lisa in the office and the guy that came and took measurements of my yard (George, I think). They were both very nice and responsive, a pleasure to deal with. I think I confused Keith, the guy that did the CAD drawing of my yard and the irrigation setup though. He tried to be accommodating, but I felt like he was just annoyed that I was trying to plan the irrigation system around features I wanted to add to my yard later on down the road (ie, things that didn't exist yet: like a shed and an enlargement to my garden). The real problem was on the installation day. I had just moved into a place with brand new sod when I called for my appointment. It was over a month by the time they could schedule me for installation. The company that did my neighbor's yard carefully lifted their sod to dig the trenches, but Eco Irrigation sent out a team that didn't speak english, and they left 9" trenches in high-traffic areas of my yard. I can't use my wheel barrel without caking it in mud and tearing up the yard. And because of the large trenches and rocky soil, my lawnmower just chews up rocks and kicks up dust. I couldn't communicate with the install team about any of my needs, concerns, specifications...I barely learned how to use my control box! In the end, they did the job and I haven't had any actual problems with the system itself. They seemed to have given me full head-to-head coverage with well-rated equipment. So it's certainly not a nightmare story or anything like that. But if I had known what my yard would look like after the fact, or how complicated it would be to communicate with the installation team, I would not have gone with Eco Irrigation, regardless of the supposed great deal I got. read more

I've been in the market for an irrigation system for quite some time. When I was finally ready to pull the trigger, I got bids from 5 different companies, including Eco. Some of the people who came to my home from the other companies were not respectful. They were either not wearing masks, smoking cigarettes on my porch or spitting in my yard. Eco sent Bob Withers to my house who was extremely knowledgeable, answered all my questions and provided the perfect solution for my home. I told him that my house has had foundation issues in the past so he recommended a foundation drip line that would go around the house and none of the other companies even mentioned that was a possibility. The system also included a wireless hub that allowed me to control everything from my phone and they came in under the prices of the competition. When I accepted their bid, they initially told me the process could take weeks. They had to measure, get a permit from the city and wait for it to be approved. Everything was completed in about a weeks time and the install was started and finished on the same day. That included install of front, back and side yards. If you're in need of a system and want a good experience at a fair price, I couldn't recommend Eco irrigation any more! read more

Eco Irrigation installed our system a little over a year ago. Recently, we contacted them with concerns that there was a leak in the system, due to our water bill increasing by a 1/3 (after they turned it back on after the winter). Due to the large amount of rain, we have had our system was off and we have no interior leaks. The lady who answered the phone was very pleasant and was able to send out Charles to inspect our lines. Charles was exceptional and very professional while educating me on the system. Upon his departure we received a $95. bill by email and our card on file was charged. When we phoned for the appt. we were not told there would be a fee. I called Eco and they explained that our system was no longer under warranty (it was our understanding that it was for 5 yrs). Turns out labor is warranted for 1 yr, parts are the manufacture warranty for 5yrs if there are defects. I explained that when I made the appt. I should have been told that there would be a fee and the amount. Turns out it is $95.00 an hour for labor YIKES! They credited us back the fee as a one time courtesy since we were not told by the scheduler. At first they said that Charles should have told us, but I strongly disagreed that it was the scheduler's responsibility to inform the customer so that we could have made a decision and then they agreed. It kinda irritated me that they would at first blame the technician for not informing us. Charles was there to service the system, because they sent him. So, we appreciate receiving the credit for the fee and want to share again that Charles is very professional and knowledgable, they should be proud to have him as an employee. This was a learning lesson for us and it should be a learning lesson for Eco staff - inform the customer of the fees upfront. read more

Eco Irrigation installed a sprinkler system in our lawn, and they did a great job. The crew worked hard and diligently. They kept the radio at a respectful volume, and seemed to have a good time while they were working. They refilled the ditches and replaced the sod, took away all the rocks and detritus, and in general cleaned up after themselves very well. UPDATE: The office and Shannon have both now called me. The office was apologetically, but their solution was to send the guy back out today, and since we rearranged our schedules yesterday for no reason, I have no desire to do that again today. Shannon said it was never added to his calendar, which is why he didn't show up, but he did acknowledge that he confirmed via email that he would be there. Either way, we will be finding another landscape company to work with. I was very excited about using this company to do some landscaping work for us after the initial quote, but since then I've been seriously less than impressed. We were able to get someone to come out pretty quickly after initially contacting them - I want to say within 4 days. After walking around our yard with and talking about our needs, it took 2 days to get a quote sent over to us. We received a quote on Monday night (6/20), my husband and I talked it over, and I replied on Thursday (6/23) morning saying we'd like to move forward with it, and that there was another area of our yard we'd like looked at as well. Yes, we should have included this from the start, but it was an issue that has gotten progressively worse, and while mowing the lawn a few days after they were here, we realized just how bad it was. Anyway, I replied on June 23 letting them know I was interested in moving forward. I didn't hear a word until this Monday, July 11. This alone was annoying, and I suppose I could have pushed them faster by calling the office, however, this really shouldn't have been necessary. Anyway, the office called me this Tuesday and set up a second appointment for yesterday afternoon (Thursday) to come back and take a second look. The appointment was set and then confirmed by the person who'd be making the visit for 5:30pm. My husband and I left work early and rushed home to be there, and no one ever showed up. Or called. Or emailed. I called the office (who was understandably) closed for the day at around 5:45, and Shannon (the man who was supposed to come by) and as of Friday morning at around 10:15am, I've heard nothing. I was very happy with the quote and looking forward to doing business with this company, but even in a busy season, this level of service is unacceptable. 2.5 weeks between emails and not showing up for appointments is unacceptable and seriously disappointing - especially considering this is a company with such great reviews. read more

I do not recommend. They came to install my back flow for my irrigation system after it was winterized which cost close to $200. Then a few days later I noticed it had a very small leak at one of the connections because the mulch was discolored. I called and they came back out and charged me another $200 to fix the leak after their install! I explained to the woman that their install was flawed since they had to come back to tighten it but she wasn't helpful. It cost me $400 to install my back flow after being winterized - I won't use them again. Stay away. read more

Eco Irrigation do not have Licence to install Water Softener Loop, but they installed at my home in Leander. I confirmed with City Of Leander, they are not supposed to even do any work related to loop, if they do not have license. And they did not complete the loop installation. When asked to complete, they asked me to hire a licensed person, which costed me extra $400 dollars. Adam cheated me and took total amount but did only partial work. Since I'm new home buyer, I was not aware of the rules and about loop installation. Eco Irrigation fooled and cheated me, wasted lot my time. They are ethical company. read more

I have rarely seen any irrigation company with a higher fee for simply driving to my house than Eco Irrigation. They charged $100 to show me their face, wipe dirt off my sprinkler, and ask *me* to turn on the water (that was apparently not included for the extortionary $100 they charged). When I spoke with them on the phone regarding the charge, they steadfastly insisted that the possibly ten minutes they spent asking me to run the sprinklers for them was somehow worth their $100 extortion fee. I will not make this mistake again, nor do I recommend anyone to contact then unless you just don't care if you get ripped off. Call Brett at Lawn Sprinkler Service and Repair instead. He does not have an extortionary fee to just show you his face and provides good value for the money you spend. He does what you ask and you don't end up feeling like you got ripped off. read more

Do not buy a irrigation system from this company. They send inexperienced guys to do the work. My system broke within 6 months, had water pouring out in my front lawn was told to cut off the main line ,they show up 4 days later and replace a ring that broke . Now they left a huge hole and a muddy mess and I was told to call the office on Monday to come and cover the hold and to pack the dirt and add sod . They showed up to cover the hole and left and I was told that I have to buy the grass and they did leave a bag of dirt and said I have to go and add more dirt to the hole it will sink in a few days . I call the office and no one has return my calls . I will report to BBB. Bad service. I'm not happy with this company I made a bad choice . read more

Our project consisted of a 1400 square foot stone backyard patio with walk way to front yard. Side yard being completely river rocked and full grass, stone brick flower garden boarders and all new irrigation in the front of your house. Lot is a little over an acre and the front yard is probably 40% of the lot. We had 4 quotes provided. Eco Irrigation was not low bid, but the ideas and plans submitted made the most sense and we felt the value of their proposal was the best for our needs. They did the project in three phases. Side yard first, which took 71 tons of rock and two days. Stone patio which took about 8 days from start to finish and looks fantastic and then the front yard, which only took two days and makes a world of difference in our curb appeal. They did a few additional small things for us without charging more, which I always appreciate and think separates good companies from excellent companies. All the crews were nice, cleaned up after themselves and worked really hard from dawn to dusk. Adam, the owner, was fantastic to deal with. Always spent as much time with us as we needed to make sure the projects would meet our needs. You can tell he is a man of integrity and family values. We were super happy with the experience and the results. Will use them for future projects. read more

I called Eco Irrigation for a quote along with about 6 or 7 other Austin companies. We were really looking for a company that would listen to our backyard design ideas for and help us accomplish that with our budget. Many companies either push their ideas on you or try to upsell you. My husband and I met with Adam (who is also the owner) from Eco Irrigation and liked him from the start. A great family man who really honestly cares about giving the customer what they want. He gave us some great suggestions for the design plan we already had in mind and helped us refine that plan. With all the estimates we had, his was the most reasonable and closest to our budget. First his workers did a retrofitting of our old 1970's sprinkler system, updated it and increased the efficiency of the sprinkler head locations in the yard and water usage. With our old system there were several issues that came up that they handled easily. Adam was great about communicating to us the process and overseeing every detail, answering all of our many questions. He walked us through the selection of materials including meeting me at a nursery and helping me decide on plants. He was really helpful in selecting things that were both native and good for our particular yard. After the sprinkler system update came digging trenches for a limestone border, adding kiddie mulch to our new play area, adding stone, dirt, sod and plants. I am one of those people who is very particular about the placement of everything down to a 1/2 inch... a little OCD. I was completely surprised that Adam and his team needed no hand holding. In fact he was out there measuring and remeasuring for the exactness before I even had a chance to say something. He is very precise about getting things right. If there was anything I wasn't sure about, he or Jerry (from his team) quickly resolved it with a great attitude. I'm sure they wanted to kill me at times but they never showed it! His team is really full of very nice people. In the end, their service exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend using Eco Irrigation for your next home outdoor remodel or even just sprinkler system addition or update. I needed some minor sprinkler nozzle adjustments done on a few of the sprinklers that were installed earlier in the year by ECO Irrigation. I called the office at about 10:00am and spoke to Nicole. She said that she could schedule an appointment to make the nozzle adjustments and told me that the next available would be in a week. I asked if it could be any sooner. She looked at the crew schedule and discovered that Abraham as going to be out in my area that afternoon. Abraham was there by 5:00 that same afternoon. He changed out the nozzles that were defective and in 5 minutes was on his way. That is customer service. Thanks Nicole and Abraham. ECO is definitely the way to go. read more

Hired Eco Irrigation to repair our sprinkler system. They came out and totally messed up our yard and the system. We called to explain the issues we had been having and they said they would be happy to come out and fix it for $100 per hour. We really had no choice but to to let them come back since they knew what they did, but they did not repair the system, they even suggested in an email that they had not caused the issues. We ended up call someone else and paying them another $1500 to make the corrections that Eco refused to take responsibility for. I do not recommend them. read more

Adam came to our house 1 day after a call into them to repair a broken pipe that had flooded some of our backyard. He figured out the problem, got it all fixed in minimal time and left us with a fully functional sprinkler system for the first time since we bought the house 2 years ago. We knew we needed a sprinkler system at our new house, but since we have a corner lot, we knew we'd pay quite a bit for a system and installation. We shopped around and received four different quotes. They were all roughly around the same price, give or take $100 or so; not enough to truly make the difference when we compared what we were actually paying for. By far, this company's warranty, product and service was the best we found. There was a bit of a delay from our initial signing until the actual installation, but we are thrilled with our final product. The sprinkler heads, the control panel, WiFi capability and the warranty were more than we were hoping for. Highly recommend! read more

In concept the idea was great: Have Eco Irrigation drain the system in the fall and winterize. Then re-charge in the spring and make sure all the zones work. I live in a different state and so wanted someone I could trust to keep the irrigation in good shape. Well it went bad starting from the spring. They pressurized the system and tell me I need a new big back flow device. What? You were in charge of making sure it was winterized???!!!! Then complaints from tenants. I fly down in summer and 1/2 the zones in the back yard are turned off and other zones not working well. They replaced multiple valves and there were still problems. And then replaced back-flow thing again. Ridiculous. Next day most zones would not work at all. I had to go into the wiring and tighten up loose terminals they left behind. I would not take them up on the Winterize your sprinkler system deal that I just got in my in-box (which prompted this email). If I had to do it over again, I would just have my yard guys handle the winterization. read more

Thank you for sending out what must have been your best crew to install our sprinkler system today! Jesus and the three other crew member (whose names we wish we had written down) were professional, hard working, conscientious, and pleasant from the time they arrived at our property this morning until they finished testing our sprinkler system that they worked all day to install and had cleaned up and put back our yard. If it weren't for the telltale narrow surface lines in our yard where they laid the piping for our system, nobody, including ourselves, would ever guess that we'd had an entire sprinkler system installed. We must admit that we were skeptical that an entire sprinkler system could be installed in our entire yard and that our yard would be restored to the condition it was the day before all in one day, but we are happy to say we witnessed it and couldn't be more pleased. Jesus and his crew were even kind enough to put bubblers that were not on our initial project plans on our plumeria trees in the back yard without even batting an eye. As if things weren't already going tremendously, another Eco Irrigation crew stopped by late in the afternoon and pitched right in alongside Jesus and his crew to further insure everything was done today.
