Normally, I would give a 3-4 star review. However, a key consideration when recommending a business is how they handle things when there is a problem. There were issues with the job (the details don't matter because we agreed on a solution). After some negotiation, Raul agreed to refund $150 to me by depositing a check directly into my account. On June 20th, in writing, Raul promised to deposit the money later in the week. June 27th I sent a follow up email asking if money was deposited. No response. June 28th sent a follow up email again. No response. It is now July 3rd. No deposit, no response. I can see Raul pointing out all the reasons why he didn't feel he should have to refund $150. But, it doesn't matter. He made a promise to a customer and broke it. Average work at average prices (I think you can do better). But, if anything goes wrong, he doesn't stand by his word. read more

We hired ECO Painting to help us modernize our house interior. We changed the orange peel texture of our house interior (very 70's) to a flat Level 4 finish. We also had color in each of the rooms complete with accent walls and white ceilings. So all the walls and ceilings had to be dry walled "mudded" before painting. Big job. Careful preparation was key. After interviewing 5 different companies, we chose ECO Painting. Raul was hired by my property manager to take down popcorn ceiling, and paint the unit to get ready to put on the market. He charged $3400 for a 742 SF condo. Low bid, and while the work was decent (August 2011), it soon peeled off the wood siding. He must be saving money on his paint. He came back once to repaint but did not complete job. He came back a second time, used a different paint which had a sheen (instead of flat like the house) that you can now see. He again did not complete the job. He said he'd be back when I spoke to him about this April 2015 but now June 2015 and he has never returned. Noticed now that he changed his contractor license...hmmm! read more

We recently hired ECO Painting to help paint an area in our home with elevated ceilings that would be too difficult to tackle on our own. I hit up Raul and he made an appointment to meet with me the same day to provide me with an estimate. I needed someone to begin the work ASAP & he did what he could to get someone in and out. A few very minor things- the painter cracked one of our electrical switch plates (without telling us- we found it later) and painted over the vents (when I requested them to remain white).
