A Follow Up Review from my last review:…read more Because I had used Ivor and Preferred Turf a few years ago for my backyard, I decided I wanted to also update my front yard by replacing the grass with turf. I got tired of paying the water bill, constant fertilizing and feeding along with mowing and weeding. Iver promptly came out and gave me a fair bid. Because I had used him previously and had vetted four companies before selecting him, I did not feel I needed to get any further bids He immediately started on the work and finished as promised. However, due to the weather at the time, he knew he was gonna have to come back to stretch and tighten the turf once the weather warmed up. Ivar and his team returned to the house over the weekend and made all the necessary adjustments to tighten up the turf and make it look pristine! I vetted four companies originally to do my landscape project before selecting Iver. He is a man of his word and will follow through with anything he promises. Don't hesitate to get three or four bids, reach out to him for an appointment. You won't be sorry.

We also love that when he came out, he actually had sample grasses for us to pick from on the spot and a booklet of all the paver options, so it was easy to visualize the end result. He also gave me a much better warranty on the work he did than anyone else. The team worked fast and efficiently. And once they started, they finished within a week. But that alone doesn't make a standout experience worthy of this 5 star rating. For quick context I've worked with at least three dozen contractors over the years for various projects. I've also had experience with a previous turf company when we do the front yard during the pandemic. And I have NEVER had a better experience during the actual service. His team was courteous, clean, professional, started and finished on time, and all the other things you look for. They moved all our garden boxes, disassembled our trampoline and put it back together. The work product was fantastic as you can see by the pictures. But what really made them stand apart was their attention to detail and their work ethic. Everyone on the job was genuinely happy to be there and actively looking for the next thing to do. Near the end of the day I started putting back our patio furniture as they were cleaning up and they stuck around to help me get everything in order. When they were finally done there wasn't a trace that they'd been there other than our beautiful new backyard.
