The current color that we loved.

I have a two part review! First I want to say my painter was the absolute BEST!! She was nice, kind and I only went to this establishment because SHE worked there! My car was painted so well I couldn't believe it because it was so inexpensive!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND LaShawna!!! Now PETE the manager!!! He is most likely the WORST thing that has ever happened to this shop! He is rude, condescending, arrogant, and has NO BUSINESS WORKING WITH PEOPLE!!!!!! He mixed the paint and it was completely the wrong color. My car was gold and he told the painter to paint it anyway after she told him it was wrong. When I told him that it was unacceptable, he borderline refused to repaint it because he said the paperwork say "approximate" but he no choice because the colors weren't even close. He proceeded to curse out the painter in front of us because he thought she had something to do with us not liking the dark brown color. It was repainted and we loved it! Their ratings would be much better if Pete was G. O. N. E!!! I would have given it 0 stars no matter the paint job because of him but LaShawna saved the day!

More paint on they drivers side running board

Broke and bent many of my trim and emblems that were on my car. A ton of overspray. Paint cracking over engine within a week.

Scratch marks that was not there before which should be sanded down and painted

Management at ECONO Painting and Body Works, I have just got my 2005 Ford Sports Trac painted here at the ECONO shop on Decker Blvd. The paint job was phenomenal but there was some minor scratches that needed to be corrected from the paint job I received on my truck. The real issue I see about this business is the customer service. After dropping my truck off to get these minor deficiencies taken care of, I was given 2 hard times to come get my truck when these deficiencies were supposed to have been taken care of but it was not completed on the hard times that were given to me. The 1st time which was 2:00 pm on Friday (January 21st) my truck was supposed to have been ready. That time was given to me by Justin. The 2nd hard time was given to me by Tory which was the next day which was Saturday between 8:00 am and 1200pm. I have to say that I was still sitting nevertheless, waiting patiently in the lobby area for my truck after the agreed time was given to me. I didn't receive any updates on the status of my vehicle while I was waiting past the store closing hour of 1200 pm on Saturday (January 22nd. I was briefly asked what was the issues with my truck from Tory on that Saturday afternoon as if no notes were taken about the deficiencies on my truck. It was a quarter to 1:00 and no one has even came to give me an update on my vehicle yet. I've been sitting there since 11:30 am. This portion of the business needs drastic improvement. I never received any phone calls throughout this whole process to let me know if my vehicle was ready or not to keep me in the loop. I believe if this establishment (business) treats everyone's vehicle as if it was their only car or their own car, things would be professional at all times. It's 1:00 pm and I just got my truck keys from Tory. I didn't get a walk around with my vehicle to ensure everything was good to go with the touch up before I left nor did I see the person who started off my business with ECONO Auto Painting and Body Works, which was Justin. Management, I'm looking at the areas that was supposed to be fixed and this work is not only a rush job, but substandard. I want these areas fixed as soon as possible with your visibility on it, Sir. I will supply you with the work order number which is WO-685158. I am not a customer that settles with substandard work by saying negative things about a business or person and just leave unsatisfied. I feel like I was patient enough throughout this whole process to receive good quality work and I'm going to put my faith in this business correcting these deficiencies. It doesn't matter if you have the cheapest paint jobs in town or the most expensive. If your customer service is phenomenal, this business will grow by leaps and bounds. Here are the changes I would like to experience as a paid customer with a 3 year warranty. The person who I negotiated with in the beginning is the person who I would like to finish up with. There is no need to be explaining your issues or problems over again to someone else when it was done already with the first person you encountered. Number 2, Get updates on my vehicle before the hard time the establishment has given me for my vehicle to be completed. Whether the job was completed or not, it's understandable that things happen but you should uphold your word when you give out a hard time for something to be completed. I have other engagements I need to attend which means I need my vehicle on the day and time we agreed upon. Number 3, Last but not least, the customer should have the opportunity to inspect their vehicle with the presence of one of the employees there before the vehicle leaves the premises. I can tell my vehicle was outside all night instead of being worked on inside the bay because my whole truck had snow all over it. Only 2 of the 5 areas have been attempted to be fixed so I'll be waiting patiently on your call so we can arrange another day to get this resolved. Mr. Evans (January 25, 2022)

My daughter wiped out 3 sides of her 2014 ford Explorer on I77 on a Saturday during a heavy rain…read morestorm. Carolina Paint and Body retrieved the car and towed it to their shop. I was hesitant to leave it 75 miles from my home town and had thoughts over the weekend to have it towed locally for repair. Not familiar with Columbia I Googled and Yelped Carolina Paint and Body for reviews and saw they had several mostly good or excellent and that made me feel better about having them do the repairs. I called and talked to Roger and he said they would get me an estimate done and get back with me. I think they called the next day and they explained the process and all the parts needed and gave me an estimated date for completion. Roger was in constant contact with me usually calling every Monday and Friday with an update. They were finished the repairs earlier than estimated but ran into a problem that required the Ford dealership's computer. That dealership's process took a few more days but was needed to complete the repairs. Roger worked with my insurance company and handle all the paperwork I only had to pay my deductible when picking up the car. All said and done, the repairs turned out flawless and I'm 100% satisfied with all the workmanship, parts and communication and would certainly would recommend Carolina Paint and Body to anyone looking for professional collision repair.

This is my first Yelp review, but these guys deserve plenty of praise. I had some damage to my car…read moredoor frame. It wasn't huge but it was in a difficult location so that a repair was preferred over replacing the whole frame. The first place I called estimated ~$700 and would take a week or more just to get an appointment. Another place had a similar story. This body shop was quick with an estimate, well below the competition, courteous, and fast. Finding the right place for a car repair like this takes knowing the right people. Consider yourself informed that this is the place to go.

Would give negative stars if I could. My vehicle was involved in a hit in run and I chose Caliber…read moreCollision on Garners Ferry Rd due to it being the closest to me in case my car needed to be towed. Luckily it did not. This was my first experience with being in a hit and run and taking my car to a body shop for repairs. I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with said repairs performed on my vehicle by Caliber Collision. The original completion date I was given for my car was 2 weeks but turned into 3 and a half. I was without my car for a total of three and a half weeks, which caused significant inconvenience and disruption to my daily life. I am 22 years old and am unable to rent a rental car thus having to rely on friends, family and spending an exuberant amount of money on Ubers to get around. Throughout this process, the completion date for my vehicle was changed multiple times. Additionally, there were several instances where incorrect parts for my car were ordered and delivered further delaying the repair timeline. For example I was told that they ordered parts not even for the make or model of my car. Another instance was they ordered two parts for my car but one was missing which pushed the completion date further. I eventually was told to call them each day to see if my car was ready. Each day I called I was placed on a 5-10 min hold, the receptionist did not know who I nor my car was even though I called every day, and sometimes was even just hung up on. Eventually after weeks of waiting, they told me I could pick up my car. Only for them to call later the same day (right before they closed) and once again asked to move my pickup date to the next day. I had to put my foot down and tell them NO. What concerns me most is the lack of consideration shown regarding the impact this situation had on me. Being without a vehicle for this length of time directly affected my ability to get to work and manage my financial responsibilities, including paying my bills. I did not feel that my situation was taken seriously, particularly in my interactions with the general manager. I understand that delays can happen; however, the repeated issues, lack of clear communication, and lack of sympathy made this experience extremely frustrating.
