Before I purchased the vehicle, I was told by both the salesperson and the mechanic that the price would be $3,800. When I arrived to complete the purchase, the price suddenly became $4,000. At that point, after making the trip and getting everything ready, I went through with the purchase. I paid $4,000 in cash for a Mazda CX-9 because I wanted a reliable SUV for my family and my child. I was told the engine had been rebuilt, that the vehicle was in great condition, and that I shouldn't have any major problems. Unfortunately, that couldn't have been further from the truth. On the very first day I owned the vehicle, it broke down and left me stranded in the middle of the road. One of their mechanics came out, couldn't identify the issue, and convinced me that it was just a one-time problem and that the car was still in good condition. I trusted them. About two weeks later, the exact same problem happened again. They took the vehicle back and attempted another repair. This cycle continued over and over for approximately four months. Every time, I was told it had been fixed, only for the same issue to return. Eventually, instead of standing behind what they sold me, I was simply told they could no longer help me fix the vehicle. To make matters worse, additional problems began appearing, including the air conditioning leaking and other mechanical issues. What disappointed me the most wasn't just the car--it was the lack of accountability. I trusted their statements about the condition of the vehicle and the repairs that had supposedly been done. Instead, I ended up with a vehicle that repeatedly broke down almost immediately after purchase. My experience was frustrating, stressful, and expensive. Everyone was so kind that my wife and I both looked at each other in disbelief. We rent cars a lot, and it seems that horrible customer service is the norm, but not here. Mike and his daughter were friendly and accommodating, even the shuttle drivers to and from the airport were great! I don't think the negative experiences in the other reviews (I notice none of them are recent) were the fault of the agency, if the versions of the stories are even accurate. We booked through Orbitz and had ZERO issues, but I believe 3rd-party reservations limit what can be done at the counter. Still, we were told at pick-up that there was a 1-hr grace period for drop-off before it becomes another day of rental. For us, that would be an extra $55. We hoped the grace period would suffice, but ended up having to extend our reservation 2.5 hours beyond the grace period, knowing we'd have to eat the $55. At drop-off, I asked if there was anything they could do, and they were able to switch it to an hourly extension instead of a full day, so it was only $27 extra. So we strolled out of there with a renewed faith in humanity, and wonder if the bad reviews were actually for a different agency (I know that happens a lot).

But now you use these guys again and a few days before your date, you realize that the time is wrong, so you call the place and wait for ALL the prompts to make sure to talk to someone at the location and when you tell this gentleman the situation, he assures you that the appointment time is fine and he will arrange for the change. Now, imagine you get a text message and are asked to share insurance information with a third party on their behalf. And you comply. Fast forward, you are on the plane, halfway to your destination and you get a voicemail that the rental company cannot accommodate your rental time, of 10:30, can you come in at 12:30 instead? So, you call them and tell them that will be fine. You will be there between 12:30-1:00. Then, you call the company when you have your bags and are on the shuttle. When you get there, they tell you they have canceled your reservation because you're late. Really? The only "accommodation " they can give you is a new reservation at a MUCH higher rate. This company is run by a bunch of poorly trained baboons and I will never use them again!

Trouble was in return, guy didn't want to help and finally came over and started looking at car. Walked around it and told me I was responsible for a ding in door . I explained to him that I had a video of the car prior to renting and that that was there before I left, and I had a video to prove it. He explained they still may want you to pay, but just send them the video. This is a ridiculous procedure, if I didn't take video, someone would have been charged for the damage on this car, luckily, I covered my ass, but the next person may not. Very sad. Sixt needs to come up with a better plan on renting cars and not charging or threatening to charge innocent people of damage they didn't do.
