The Good Guys are truely GREAT guys! I had been dealing with an ongoing plumbing fiasco of events for almost two months. Being a DIY warrior with very little plumbing experience, they helped tremendously. They fixed a blockage issue that had caused a big flood. Unfortunately, I had problems a week later. They came back promptly and diagnosed the problem Turns our the recurrent issue was due to indoor piping that needed to be re-configured which is not a service they offer. Nevertheless, Adam and Lyle were amazing! They patiently diagnosed the unusual situation, confirmed my pipes had no blockages (gave me peace of mind), and VERY patiently explained to me and my DIY partner what needed to be done to fix the problem. I'm happy to report we were able to fix the wonky configuration from their patient sharing of their knowledge. Oh, and did I mention? Price was very reasonable! read more

Two technicians came to inspect our drain with a camera and offered a $550 clean-out(including the camera inspection) or $1,200 hydro jetting. We chose the $550 option. After their equipment got stuck and more technicians had to come out, 4 employees spent nearly 4 hours in our basement and told us the line was free n clear & the job was done. Lie Two weeks later our drain backed up again. When I called, I was told the service wasn't guaranteed and I'd have to pay another $550 for them to return. In a condescending way he told me I should have taken the advice of his technicians and done hydro jetting. On their Facebook page, they post they are hiring technicians with no experience necessary/ will train on the job. So their technicians of high experience are always right? That should have been my first red flag. 2nd Red Flag is we didn't realize they are under new ownership. We were never shown the camera footage they claimed that proved the line was clear. Instead we were told we should have read our receipt that there's no guarantee. I had to hire another company KSK Sewer & Drain Cleaning who removed a extra large amount of tree roots that clearly hadn't been cleared. Kevin was great & very honest. He told me I don't know what Econo did but clearly they didn't clear the sewer line completely. His service is also guaranteed for 8 months. The service, communication and the lack of accountability by Econo Sewer is beyond frustrating. Do not waste your time or money. read more

Years ago they were great. They were friendly and reasonably priced. I called them yesterday, and the other posters were right on, they acted as if I was bothering them. They then stated it would be $300-500, plus a $300 overtime charge. I went to the hardware store, bought the tools to clear it, and learned something in the process. I previously used Mr. Rooter for cleaning my storm drains, but since they moved to Brookfield from Raymond I wanted to stay with a local provider. I saw the reviews for Econo and decided to give them a try. Matt showed up within 2 hours of me calling the office, and began to hydro jet the sump line that was experiencing slow flow that began 2 days earlier. Going into the line his equipment could not get past a bend in the line. Mr. Rooter previously was able to get through that bend in years past. Unfortunately he could not correct the issue, and using a camera showed me where the stoppage was located. I was not happy when he could not drop the quoted price of $1100 as he did not solve my problem. I ended up spending 6 hours digging up the line (yes there were a lot of roots where the video indicated blockage was), and replaced about a 8 foot section of drain. I really feel he should have just charged me for a camera inspection as the hydro jetting was a total failure. I do not like a company that when they cannot complete their job do not make adjustments to the customer. read more

We had an emergency with our sewer backing up they came out couldn't get through it but they were pulling some plastic up and stuff so they thought we had more of a problem. In order to contact the city we needed a second opinion so they sent someone else out he got through it right away. The first guy was going through our grease trap not sewer it was an emergency so it was more expensive We were charged $400 then when the second guy from another company came out it was $280. This is where we found out they were going through the grease trap. I don't expect them to refund me all my money but I thought a little bit. Since it was their mistake no they give us a credit for our next sewer cleaning. read more

Econo was my go to company for years, so was no hesitation to contact them for a new issue. I quickly realized something was very different then learned there were new owners (for about 3 years now). Very unprofessional with their communication over the phone, email and in person. Over the phone, it came across as if I was bothering them. Over email, spent multiple emails going back and forth (about a week) trying to get footage of my drain after a hydro jett, only to find the footage was selective and did not include the side of the house affected. While in person, the staff we swearing loudly to one another and while on the phone. I had to pay them twice in one day--once for the first worker who didn't fix the issue at all, then again for another worker to come out and do teh hydro jett. In total I gave them $1300.00--The prior owner never would have done this, in fact he fixed my plumbing, then it backed up a few weeks later (different issue) and gave me $200 off the hydro jett. Since the new owners prices have increased, for example the hydro jett was $800, now it's about $1000.00. Not only did I incur the service cost, but also a water cost as they used my water system for the hydro jett after they didn't have enough. With the prior owner, the staff cleaned up after themselves, in fact you would have never known they were even in your house. The new staff did not. That said, I did let them know not to worry about cleaning too much that I would handle it, but that was before I saw the extent of the mess. Sewage all over everything. My couch, clothing on a garment rack, walls, furniture, pool table, carpet, stairs (tracked it up the stairs and out of the house)--it was all over the place. I had to replace the carpet pieces (again at my expense ) and spent the next week cleaning and sanitizing the space. I will not use this company again. I'm hopeful the prior owner will open up a new business in the near future. read more

Make them send a camera through your sewer line BEFORE any work is performed, they do it after they are done. Damage can occur to your sewer tiles with jetting and also rodding tools. I found out the hard way. I can't prove they damaged my tile, but they were the only company that has worked on my sewer line in the past two years. read more

This was the second time I used them, I wouldn't recommend anyone else. The service was too notch, Simon was very professional, great at his job and when he put the camera through and found a collapsed pipe, had it not been for the locating equipment I more than likely would have had to pay thousands of dollars to have it repaired. They are well worth the price, and actually highly recommend by the city/village. They are honest, trustworthy, and easy to work with. They were wonderful ! Arrived on time to unclog my kitchen sink. It was a harder job then expected but the quote was the same! Very friendly staff both on the phones and techs. But the best part was how CLEAN they were. They spent the time to wipe everything down even the door handles ! Great experience, I contacted Econo in the early morning & they arrived early afternoon the same day. Very professional serviceman, got right to it and had the drain opened up within an hour. He snaked close to 120' before he hit the clog. They had all the right tools and know-how to tackle a big job. He was in and out and the price was reasonable. Picked them due to the high rating. Spent 4 hours waiting, they came and inspected and said I needed Hydro Jett which they couldn't provide until morning. Then I called again and they said they could provide hydro Jett but with a $200 extra charge. Also Hydro Jett is like $400 extra than snake. I called Roto Rooter, 30 min later they evaluated my system, and 30 min after that, they had resolved my issue....using a mechanical snake! Saved about $400 and they had a 6 month warranty. read more

Not impressed. We were trying to figure out what to do to address flooding in my 90 year-old mother-in-law's basement. We live out of town and specifically asked him to check the palmer valve in the floor drain. Charlie assured me that "this is what we do for a living." He cleaned out the lateral at what seemed to be a very high cost. This did nothing to solve the problem. Subsequently, we got the right person to take a look; the problem was a stuck palmer valve. He completely fixed the flooding problem in 30 minutes, at less half of what Econo charged. Charlie at Econo is a smooth talker but doesn't know his stuff. Caution advised! read more

I discovered a sewer back up in my trap door basement. I called and they fit me in the very next day. The workers were very personable and professional. The company gives very reasonable pricing and give you a quote before any work is done. If something else arises they will tell you a head of time. My problem was more severe and they had to come back the next day but kept me informed of the progress every step of the way. They were also very careful when walking through my home. Even though one of my properties took them extra time and he said was one of the worst they have ever saw, LOL. They did not up charge me. Highly recommend them. I truly wished I would've contacted them sooner. A phenomenal company!!! After a pretty crappy experience from another plumber, these guys came out and fixed the problem ASAP...and for a little bit more then what the other plumber just charged for a HOUSE VISIT. The previous plumber walked into our basement with 5" of water, took a look around (with a flashlight), blamed it on the city and asked for a credit card. I don't often have the opportunity to give good reviews for service providers because frankly most are marginal at best, and often awful. However, Charlie at Econo is first class. His website says "we clean your pipes not your wallet". That's straight truth, great service and fair prices. I've never even met him personally, which is even better for a landlord like me. I would highly recommend Econo for the following reasons. Charlie, (I believe he is the owner) answered the phone close to after hours and scheduled a next day appointment. He gave me a qualified price over the phone so I knew what to expect. He arranged a phone call about 30 minutes before the visit, which was great. Adam showed up and was friendly and knowledgeable. He had foot coverings for his boots and proceeded to get the work done. He left no mess and explained some things that we could do to upgrade the toilet. Just had my sink fixed by Adam (I hope I got his name right) from Econo Sewer and Drain. I called yesterday after we tried unsuccessfully to clear a clog from the kitchen sink. They told me that they would be here today between noon and three, and asked if they were able to come early would that be okay. I am off today so I said yes. They were at my house at 930 this morning, and had the sink fixed by 1030. The price was right on point with the website, so no surprise in my bill. The plumber was super polite and friendly, well groomed, and no plumbers crack! LOL.... I would definitely call them again for a plumbing or sewer problem. read more

Econo Sewer and Drain did in one visit what R*** R***ter didn't do in three visits by just a van that could do "rodding" and then two separate "camera" visits scheduled (a different person/truck) that they never showed up and still haven't called to reschedule. Econo Sewer and Drain's PETE was awesome - up front with two options. He had all the tools/equipment necessary for a one trip solution. We took the camera/video with water jet option to clean out the roots just outside the house at the PVC to clay sewer transition. ALL IN ONE VISIT with ALL the tools to get the job done ONCE. Plus a DVD with before and after pictures and videos of our complete sewer system from the house to the village sewer. AND they gave us a lower price than quoted since the root intrusion was only in one location and therefore didn't take long to eliminate. Will be calling them in a year or so to take another look and judge how fast the growth is (or hopefully isn't). read more
