I recommend Southport and Phil for quick repairs. 5 stars for service but I'm not sure if it was overpriced? They got the job done so my pipes didn't freeze and that's the important part.

This went on for days until I had a different company come out for a second opinion. The new company found that the Southport tech left the service cap off after adding refrigerant so it all leaked out!!! Southport had 3 different techs come before we got the second opinion....either it is gross incompetence or a scam!!!! You decide. I cant believe the level that they went to to try and get me to buy new unit when mine is only ten years old and worked fine until Southport came for the routine inspection. Thanks to the second opinion I have a perfectly working unit again.

No problem. Was then called by their dispatcher at 1:30 saying their technician was 30-45 min out. After 2 hours I called back wondering where our technician was and was informed he was 12 minutes out. A call in that 2 hours we were waiting would have gone a long way to a 5 star rating. Less than 2 hours later, a wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional tech arrived. He found the problem and fixed it. Paradoxically, the service we received yesterday from Morgan was maybe 6*. He is probably the best HVAC professional we have seen in our approx 30 years with First Call. But, he came from Lake Geneva and works for the company there that has been cobbled together with First Call by a private equity firm. Sadly, as we have experienced previously, private equity firms' focus on leveraging assets results in a reduction of organizational efficiency. The fact that Morgan had to drive from Lake Geneva is a reflection of that. First Call used to be a family-owned hugely customer focused organization. When we didn't hear from them this Spring Re AC tuneup, I called in May and was told they couldn't do it til August -- for AC! Difficult to believe. I'm afraid the responsive and always great attention we got from First Call is likely gone. Having said that, let me repeat that Morgan (from the "partner" company) was flat out outstanding. On his first visit, Carlos thoroughly cleaned and sanded the deck. He also went above and beyond by power-washing underneath it, an area that desperately needed attention. I had not asked him to do that, so I really appreciated the extra effort. When he returned to stain the deck, the finished result looked fantastic. Carlos was prompt, honest, upfront about pricing, and clear about what needed to be done. I am extremely happy that I hired him, and my deck now looks great and meets my HOA's requirements. I cannot recommend Carlos highly enough. He does excellent work and is an even better person.

I had a new furnace installed by Wisconsin fuel in 2021 two years later I found the exhaust pipes…read morethey installed not connected in the ceiling. They must of came free over time due to vibration. The only reason I found this out was when I went to change my filter it was wet. The condensation from the pipe was leaking onto the top of my duct work and running back down. Thank God my furnace didn't fail because this would of caused co2 to fill my house. I went back to them and they don't want to fix it. Unless it's paid for which I don't believe I should have to especially when their tech must not of installed it properly in the first place.
