They'll clear codes to hid big issues just to get rid of a vehicle. Throwing their problem on someone else's hands I originally talked with Kaylie and she seemed great and got me all the information. I told her I was driving from Ohio and it's a 13 hr round trip, so I wanted to make sure nothing was wrong with the truck. She said nothing was wrong and it all looked good, so I put a down payment on it and headed down to buy the truck. When I got there I worked with Prince and never even seen or talked to Kaylie. It all seemed good at first and I had a diesel tech check it out to make sure it checked out. I went for a drive and when I pulled back in the check engine light lit up. They did regen and cleared the codes to the truck to sell it bc it could be a very expensive fix. A whole day of driving and lots of money wasted. read more

I called in January of 2026 to get a quote and book an appointment for my 2019 Honda Civic Sport Hatchback for its 100k mile service. I spoke with Joe over the phone in January for the quote, as listed in the photo the top portion is what I was told would be done on my 100k service, the water pump, timing chain, serpentine belts, and coolant flush for $800 including parts and labor. I even confirmed multiple times everything listed would be done, because even I thought the price was low. Joe guaranteed that yes, all of this would be done and they could get it all done in one day. I then asked if he could quote me for a brake flush and brake pads which is listed in the bottom portion of the photo. I went ahead and booked my appointment for today March 19th as I am on vacation and it was the most convenient time for me without taking any extra days off work. I arrive this morning at 9am to drop off my car for my scheduled appointment, when I arrive they can't find my information in their system, it's like I never even booked an appointment, no biggie, I give Clint, the person helping me all my information and tell them what I'm there for. Clint then proceeds to tell me that in the 100k service it in fact does not include the timing chain or water pump, the 100k service only includes spark plugs, serpentine belt, and coolant flush and then quotes me $939 for this 100k service. That $939 did not include the brake flush or any brake pads. When I bring up the fact that this is not what I was told over the phone by Joe, Clint says "Joe is just the guy who answers our phones." If Joe is the guy who "just answers your phones" Joe should know what he's talking about. Your customer service representatives are typically the first point of contact with your customers, they are the ones who give your company the first impression to your customers. There was absolutely no apology from Clint over the confusion, no professionalism to even try to fix or resolve the issue just a shrug of the shoulders like 'no big deal'. I live in Jasper TN which is a 40 minute drive from Economy Honda Superstore I wasted an hour and 20 minutes of my time to drive out there, (my husband also drove his car out there so I wouldn't be stuck waiting at the dealership all day for my car to be finished) and back home just to be told what I was quoted was wrong and that they would not be doing what I was told they would be doing and that it was going to be $100+ more than what I was quoted for less work. I work in customer service myself, I understand mistakes happen and things can change but the absolute lack of accountability of their mistake is baffling. Let's see this is going to be a long one: I had a 2013 Honda Accord Sport and took it here religiously for oil changes. There was a time where they changed the oil and didn't replace it. I got halfway down the road and my car had every single light on and shut down. I called them and was told that it sounded like it had no oil in it... I told them that I had just left there and they told me that it wasn't the oil then. I was able to (thankfully) bring it back to them only for a separate service advisor to tell me that it indeed had no oil... I told them off for that one and they tried to give me a coupon and call it a day but that had me unsettled. I bought a brand new Honda Civic Sport 2022 and while this isn't the dealerships problem within 5 months I had ABS Steering module problems and had to have it replaced, thankfully under warranty, but later found out it became a recall. I've also gone in for an oil change and tire rotation, was there for almost 2 hours only for them to rotate the tires and not even change the oil, thankfully they owned up to it and called me back for it to get done "rushed" and again offered me a coupon. The service advisors are all very nice, but they need to get themselves together. The staff in general have all been very nice and courteous and I absolutely love the salesmen, it's just a fickle business that needs work. Not sure Honda will have my business going into the future as it seems like they're making the cars cheaper and charging them for a higher price. Wish they'd make cars more reliable again. read more

I called the store service department with Jefferson and explained him the need for me to get down to get the services taken care of and he says sure come on down, when we got there, I was treated with the most professional way I have ever been treated at any dealership! Took my car to get my passenger side mirror replaced. I unfortunately needed the entire mirror replaced. The guys at the desk ordered my parts for me which came very fast. I picked my parts up, where they told me I couldnt leave with the part and then come back to get mirror fixed. Then I was told "never mind I was allowed to leave and come back with that part since I ordered it from them." Day of my appointment, they were late starting. About an hour and a half into my appointment, they tell me that the mirror piece was not included when they ordered the part?? I'm not sure if this was to get more $$ out of me or an error on their manufacturing end but I'm extremely frustrated. The car they sold my daughter, a navy veteran, has been nothing but horrible. She purchased in March and it started having trouble on her way back to the navy base. Very, very long story short- the car has been in the shop more than she has had it to drive costing her and us (her parents 2,000-3,000). The dealership just wants to wash their hands of her and the car- very unprofessional. They should have replaced the car and reimbursed us for the trouble. Still not even sure the car is reliable. I waited about an hour, which wasn't bad but the waiting area didn't have any water bottles and a lack of snacks. I was charged $31 for labor, for a battery replacement. So I bought my Honda Civic off the lot, brand new back in 2019. They had the "Honda Factory Performance Package" available which comes with some body modifications, wheels, and brake rotors. I opted for all that to be put on when I bought the car. Fast forward to now, I'm getting some creaking noises sometimes when I turn. Through some Civic forums I discovered that this is a common issue related to a part on the brake caliper. I went to their maintenance department, explained the noise and where I think it's coming from. Took them half an hour to even get the car into the garage area, then I see a bunch of mechanics huddle around it, talk and look at it, but the car never goes up on the rack. The wheels never came off, the brakes were never inspected, but the service rep comes out and tells me my brakes are aftermarket and likely the cause of the issue. Their solution is for me to pay $450 to downgrade back to the original brake rotors. I then had to argue the fact that, the rotors currently on the car are actually OEM and had them pull up the receipts. After they realized the mistake they made, they still suggested I pay the $450 to downgrade back to the original brake rotors. I declined and asked if they checked the tie rods and everything else to see if that's the source of the noise. The service rep then lied to me and told me "Oh yeah, the guy looking at it used to own a Type R, he's an expert with this. He looked it all over and everything else was good. If it's not the brakes it's probably the aftermarket suspension" (which I do have on the car, but I know for a fact is not the issue). They then let me have my car back, free or charge. It's upsetting that a Honda Dealership of all places would be trying to scam its own customers by selling them OEM upgrades, then trying to con them out of $450 by then saying that it's aftermarket and needs to be replaced a couple years later. read more

My review is towards the fallow up call. I had scheduled an appointment for a safety recall which was not completely handled well but the team did make up for it. Some days later a get a call to provide feedback and I just brushed it off and say it was just OK. It's hard not to get a good rating when you have the best deals and prices around at this time. Wife and I have reviewed and test drove about all of the models in the class with the Honda Accord and decided that was the best car for our needs. Looks, MPG and quality ratings were high on the list. Accord EX-L is 37mpg on highway. Once we new what we wanted I went in and met with Waymond, sales agent. This guy knows the product very well and we worked out a deal for the car I wanted. Sales process is a well oiled process at the superstore. Once paperwork is up and approved you are passed on to the accessory guy who covers what else you can get if you want it. They have some cool items like chrome trim, spoilers, mud flaps, etc. I declined and then moved on the finance guy for loan paperwork. I was pre approved elsewhere but they had a 1.9% so opted to take that. In and out with car in about 3 hours. Only negative is in the rush to get you in the car they forgot to clean rear inside window, which still had suction cup marks from factory. I got home and had to clean it. But a great car and $5,400 under sticker price. Waymond my sales guy even met us out a week later to show my wife some of the features and cover any questions she had. Cannot beat that! read more

I went to this dealership on'm a saturday late in the afternoon. I was looking to purchase not one, but two cars ( one for my teenage daughter and one for myself). I worked with a salesman named Darrell. because it was right in the afternoon, my husband and I decided we would come back Monday morning after sleeping on the commitment. I called the salesman and told him we were 45 minutes away. As we pulled up, the car for my daughter was being sold out from under us. I was still interested in the car myself. So after about 45 minutes, the salesman and I agreed on a price. I waited another 45 minutes, until right before I was supposed to speak with the finance people, and the salesman came back to tell me that they couldn't give me that price and that the original price was the lowest they could get. It took me an hour to get to the dealership, an hour to get home, I spent at least an hour there waiting to get jerked around. not that, but a manager called me later that evening to offer me a similar deal to what the salesman had originally offered me. "I bought my civic in 2015 and after reviewing the bill of sale I noticed that $550 was added to my Easy Care package total with nothing to account for it. I have tried to reach their finance department to understand why I was over charged and I was hung up on. I can only assume that the finance manager pocketed this $550. Service department has been good for us, mainly because of Denny E. Sales was a disappointing experience... I sat for TWO hours waiting to be shown ONE vehicle. The salesman continuously told me that he was trying to find the VIN so he could pull the key in their system. I eventually walked out & got the VIN myself & gave it to him, it still took way too long to bring the vehicle up to the building so that I could test drive it. Asking for a manager is a hassle, I waited for an additional 30 minutes to speak with someone. I took my Honda CRV in for oil change and tire rotation. The tech tld me I needed a tune up and that would cost 630.00. I'm a single female and didn't know better so told him ok. I have less than 100,000 miles and have been told several times since then i did not need the tune up. While they had my vehicle they told me I had a leak and my tires were balding and put in a couple of filters wanted to do things and that would only be $3,000. I said no to that and took to billingsley in East Brainerd and they said I didn't have an oil leak and fixed a couple of things and even replaced the brakes for less that $500. I purchased a clean 1 owner Honda from them and the vehicle had many things done to it from the time they took it in on trade until they put it up for sale - new battery, fresh transmission fluid, etc. (I verified all as I was skeptical). Where they failed came when you are least able / likely to do anything about it - signing the papers and after the sale. The fees I was presented upon completing the deal were where they make their money - $699 doc. fee, ("Everybody pays this even when I bought my vehicle here I paid it." the salesperson assured me). $99 phantom shadow or something theft prevention package that they supposedly absorbed the cost of in the #s somewhere - if it's there you're paying for it! What ultimately drove me to write this scornful review is that I was initially told that the vehicle had all of its keys by the salesperson (who was awesome up until the sale was final then couldn't be reached by phone). However, here I am 6 weeks after purchase and still have a single key. I pray my wife doesn't need to get one of our children to the hospital or other critical situation when I'm out in her car (her minivan doubles as my home depot vehicle). As soon as anyone pulls into the lot car salespeople instantly surround one like a hawk, analyze your car, your clothes and if you seem worthy, they may show you a car of two. Very quick to judge, a book by its cover. I witnessed a lady of Indian descent tell one salesman what she wanted and watched as he took her too the "cheap" cars. This was not what she asked, as I watched I heard two other sales people talking about the Indian woman. Being degrading and such. As the salesman walked away from the lady, I walked towards her and apologized for the behavior she had just received. She opened her purse and it was FILLED with cash. Economy Honda is located off 153 where lots of car dealers are located. There facility is spacious and includes drinks, TV and internet for customers during their visit. First, the staff are very friendly and while they want to make as much profit as they can, they put the customer first. Without too many specifics I wanted to share my car buying experience and what my friend encountered when I went with her to purchase a used vehicle ( I KNOW WTH, look at the size of this review). If you are an inexperienced car buyer I suggest you read this in it's entirety. I was there with a friend who was purchasing a used vehicle over the Memorial weekend. They were very very busy and things moved fast and slow. They have a great selection of used cars and if you buy, recognize they, like every dealer I have worked with, they will try to sell you "extras" because it is a way to make additional profit. Nothing wrong with that. For example, EH adds extras to the cost listed on the used car price tag (Kind of like undercoating and if you watch FARGO, you know what I am talking about). For example, in the case of EH, they add "Phantom Footprint", ($149), "Permaplate" ($395), and "Intire" ($430). From what I understand, the salesperson is supposed to let you know these are already added to the car and are an additional price. My friend was not told that ahead of time because they were so busy I assume he just forgot. Now one of the goals of the finance person is to get you to pay for these as well as sell you other add-ons such as "Easy Care Gap Insurance" ($699 - to cover the cost of your loan and actual vehicle cost should your car get totaled). They also offer Insurance to cover major repairs which can run $1500 or more. I have bought many cars and for someone inexperienced in purchasing a new car, please keep this in mind. You DON'T have to buy these extras but when you are with the finance person, his or her goal is to try very hard to sell these extras to you and to convince you you need them. It is OK, it is their job. You just need to think about this before you get in the room and don't be afraid to say NO if you don't want them. Think about it before you say yes. Do I really need cloth protection on my seats? Do I really want to pay $430 to replace a tire if it goes bad? There are a number of ways the company will present these add-ons to make you think you need them. They will present it in such a way that it sounds like it is included or required in the price; if you don't want it don't accept it. If it is a late model car with over 50K miles, you might want to get the insurance that covers major repairs, just be sure you understand what you are buying. Another tactic used by car dealers is after you agree on the price, they will have you wait around for 2 or three hours saying they are working on financing or trying to get you a better interest rate. This will wear you down SO when you finally get in the office and are filling out all the paperwork, you are tired and all you want to do is sign the papers and get out of there with your new car. And then when you get the purchase agreement with all the numbers you just want to sign it and go.. . TAKE the Time to go over ALL costs. Listen to the sales pitch but be patient and remember, it is OK to say no; you DON"T have to accept these extras. Do your research ahead of time and know what you want. In the case of my friend, after signing the papers and taking the care home, she looked over the paperwork and realized she did not have to get the extras that were on the agreement. The next day she went back to the dealer and had the "extras" removed and did get the coverage for major repairs. The sales person and finance person bent over backward to resolve her concerns. I have to give Economy Honda a 4+ for the service and I certainly can't blame them for trying to sell as many products and add ons as they can. They also got her a great rate on the vehicle. But like other car dealers, I wish they would be more upfront with how they present these "extras". That said, I would certainly purchase a car from them IF they did away with the DOC fee of $600 for a used car. read more

I really like this dealership and I have been a customer for well over 10 years now. I have bought 3 vehicles from them, two of which I still own. The service guys are always really polite and quick to help. They do a good job and their digital record keeping allows me to not have to worry about "what do I need to do today" on my vehicle. As I'm not a car-guy, this is important to me. The sales department is typical of any other dealer. There are good and bad salesmen everywhere you go. I personally like Mr. Carlisle and have dealt with him on multiple purchases (myself, my fiancé, and my friends). As for parts, the only downside to buying from the dealership is that they don't typically match local Sam's Club/Costco prices, which means I won't be buying tires from Economy. Dealership:- 3.5 star rating After an internet search of Georgia's dealership, Economy Honda in Chattanooga was my last search. They had two of the harder to fined Burgundy 2016 EX Civic on their website. Best of all they were only one of two dealers with reasonable pricing, right on the website. Even with those crazy (dealer or doc (extra profit) fees, which ALL dealers charge, their price was still $1,000 better than the closest priced competitor in Buford GA, 240 miles round-trip away from my home in Metro Atlanta. I had 5 dealers competing for my business via the web. Most of my negotiations were done via texting their internet representative, Heather. Chris was the manager that approved my deal. Sal, was the salesmen that made the delivery. Good vibes from all of them. Picked up the vehicle in the evening (won't do that again), they gave me the keys so I could take it for an extensive test drive. Found some issues with the detailing on the bumper, but as it was almost closing time, they promised to fix it, if I would bring it back and fill up my tank. On this score they did as promised. Vehicle and Honda Manufacturing - 2.0 start rating The good- From a driving experience perspective the car is great- zip and zags like a squirrel flying between trees, great gas mileage of 41 on the highway if you keep it below 68 mph. Accelerates fast with the 2.0 L engine, no need for the 1.5 L turbo, unless you just like to accelerate hard. Good seating position has been hard to find (I'm used to mid-size cars now). The bad- The Honda product has fallen in my eyes. This is our 4th one (two previous Accords and a 2013 Civic) and the first one where we've had issues. Three days after purchase, while rinsing the car with a single light above in the garage I noticed a shallow manufacturing deformity in the skin above the rear quarter window on the driver's side. It is not a dent, there is no impact, abrasion, scuffing or disturbed paint. It is simply a metal stamping issue. Sent via regular mail description and photos to 1) the Indiana manufacturing plant's president and stamping manager, 2) the president of American Honda in Japana, 3)the GM of Economy Honda. Had the GM and Sv. Mgr, look at it, when I had the detailing issue corrected. Honda's resolution system is closed, so you must go through the dealer to get communications from the manufacturer. The Ugly- Two days ago sitting at a stoplight in heavy traffic. All of a sudden a chime sounded out of nowhere. All of the sudden the LED in front of the steering wheel displayed this in sequence with each chime. Hill Start Assist Problem, then Electric Parking Brake Problem, then Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) Problem, then Power Steering System (EPS) Problem, then Brake Hold System Problem, then Brakes System Problem. Pull into a parking lot, cut the car off and back on, the warnings persist, so I actually took photographs of the warnings and crept home, which was fortunately close by. I'm now driving my 17 year old always reliable 283,000 mile Toyota, while I contemplate what to do next. I'm sending those photos to CR, because they are still evaluating the vehicle. Two issues in less than two weeks of ownership (one safety confidence related), would you want to drive the 2016 Car of the Year, that I purchased? Bottomline: The Honda Factory rep, will not 'replace' the vehicle as I have continuously asked for, just fix it! Why? Because that is what warranties are for. Hmm, if your new LED tv is deformed they replace it, so the same for your new stove. The factory made that decision before the LED warning light issue appeared. When I told the service manager about the light issue he ask that I have it towed in to a local dealer, for that as well. Do you want to have your brand new car towed, even if it is complimentary? Jesse was fantastic as a service technician. My car was towed there, so he had me over a barrel, but instead of my expectation of being taken advantage of, he explained all my options after a thorough inspection, apprising me of all the risks and implications. He was patient with me as I looked at the option to trade-in and buy another car, and understanding when I made the choice not to do so. I would highly recommend him and will definitely be calling him back if I have any more issues with my '06 Accord. Update 7/1/16 - having some problems with shifting my manual. Brought in, and Steve helped me out this time. Unfortunately, it was the clutch and clutch cylinders- a significant (and expensive) repair. Steve and his crew worked their magic and ended up giving me a fantastic deal on all the work. Very transparent throughout the process.
