She asked simple and to the point questions to provide me with a quote that was astronomically lower than the other four companies I received quotes from (none with customer service like Orsola's either...) On moving day, Owner Marcos and two of his men showed up EARLY, went through each room of my house, explained the game plan, and got to work at lightening speed. Each piece of furniture was wrapped and loaded meticulously into their truck at lightening speed. After four moves on our own that were absolute nightmares, I had never seen anything like it! They were respectful, professional, and went above and beyond. I really can't say enough. I felt completely comfortable and at ease. They disassembled and re assembled furniture, made suggestions about where things would be most space efficient in the new place, and more. Do yourself a favor and NEVER move yourself again. Ursula is an amazing business manager - friendly, professional, accommodating, and detail oriented. She was able to give me a quote right away, and it was no problem getting our move scheduled. When moving day came, Mark and his team were prompt, polite, friendly, funny, fast, and overall SUPER efficient. I can't say enough nice things about them! I make it a point to try and find online reviews whenever I need products or services. When we needed to make a local move from Providence to Cranston, I looked for reviews of movers. I found this small company, Movers of Honor that had outstanding reviews and gave them a call. After going over the contents of our home on the phone, I was given an estimate which seemed reasonable to me so I decided to go with them and sent in my $100 deposit. We were very happy that they were able to accommodate our relatively short notice for a move at the end of May, one of the busiest times of the year. We settled on a date when they had a half day open and it worked. This is a veteran-owned company that employs veterans. The owner, Mark, is an ex-Marine. They treat each move as a mission. It was a pleasure to see how the small team of young men worked so well together as they efficiently helped us finish some packing, wrapped furniture, TVs, etc, as needed and packed their truck. They responded to any concerns we had and I am happy to report that no damage was done to any of our household goods. Medals of Honor is a local company, headquartered in North Providence. The only reason I gave these guys a 5, as because there aren't more stars available. From my first call, and speaking with Ursula, I knew that these were going to be my movers. She was ultra-professional and organized. I booked them to pick up my furniture and hold it overnight, and deliver and unload at my new home the next day. I also requested assistance unloading the Pod I had filled myself getting ready for the move. Come the day of the pickup, Pods screwed me, and stated I'd never requested a pickup. That's fake news, folks. I absolutely booked it. I called Ursula to see if they could help. They had no additional trucks available, but she said if I rented a truck, they would help load and unload. THANK GOD!. As the move progressed, they packed up the house and then replaced the uhaul to be more efficient in using the space. We even had a pipe break, and Mark called a plumber he knew and got him over for a very fair price. Totally saved the day. THe next day, they arrived as scheduled and did a fabulous job getting everything done in a timely manner. I might mention that this was in the middle of a literal heat wave. I would have been dead in the water had they not bailed me out. I am forever grateful, and would recommend them without hesitation. read more

What an amazing group of professionals! Movers of Honor recently completed my moving mission did an outstanding job! When setting up my move, I spoke to Orsola on the phone. She was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Mark and his squad arrived on time with two trucks and got straight to work. They were professional, respectful, courteous and efficient. We moved two households into one that day. First, they loaded up the truck with the contents of my 3-bedroom, two-story house with basement and garage storage. Then they proceeded directly to our second stop to load the contents of my stepfather's 2-bedroom apartment into their second truck, quickly and efficiently loaded up and moved to our final destination at our new home in Narragansett. The entire move, from start to finish, was accomplished in 5.5 hours! They shrink wrapped, disassembled, reassembled and even offered to arrange the furniture how we wanted it. First, let me say that I would highly recommend Movers of Honor. I found their ad on Craigslist, and because of the affordable rate, I was skeptical. Since their ad stated that they were insured, I contacted them for proof of insurance and was quickly forwarded a copy of their insurance certificate from their insurance company (no other movers I contacted were able to provide this). That said, I moved this past weekend during the worst heat wave this summer. Mark called me the morning of the move to tell me, to the minute, what time they would be arriving-and they were right on time. From the moment they arrived to the time they left they never stopped moving (remember the Heat Wave!!!). They shrink wrapped and then wrapped my furniture in padding. They did a much better job than I would have! They were polite, pleasant and seriously hard working men. At the end of the move, there were no "surprises" when it was time to pay the bill. I paid exactly what I was expecting. If you are looking for a mover, call them first! You will not be disappointed. read more

I highly recommend Mark and his Movers of Honor team, and would hire them again in a heartbeat. I needed movers to move furniture and a few other items for a one bedroom apartment on one side of a complex to another one bedroom apartment on the other side. They never stopped working! They arrived promptly, were dressed appropriately, and got right to the task. Plus, the rate they charged when all was done was less than what had been quoted and what other companies I had checked would have charged. Before I hired them, I confirmed they were properly licensed and had no BBB complaints against them. They were insured properly too, and offered (but didn't push for) additional insurance if we wanted it. I've moved at least a dozen times, even relocating cross country. Mark and his crew did a great job for me! Very professional, yet friendly, and they always seemed to be in a good mood which was refreshing on such a stressful day. They even immediately stopped what they were doing and helped me locate my pets when they escaped from their "safe room", which was probably my worst fear on that day. My overall move involved two separate moves. The first for all the "big stuff". The second for all the smaller things that I was sure I was going to be able to move myself (not so). Scheduling was easy and timely. They were able to carefully get the bigger (and heavier) items out without too much of an issue. Everything was put into the rooms where I wanted them to be and adjustments to my plan were cheerfully executed. Rates were very competitive! I loved that the company was veteran owned and crewed and how they referred to my move as a mission! An absolutely fantastic team of movers. From scheduling our move to completion, Movers of Honor does a first-rate job. Orsola was exceptionally helpful in scheduling the move, predicting the correct number of movers, and keeping us up to date. Our new apartment was on the third floor with a narrow, winding staircase, but Marc and his crew moved efficiently to haul two bedroom's worth of furniture and belongings in just over two hours. They were also very careful and cautious to not make markings on the walls during the move. Also, as one might expect from a team comprised of veterans of military service, all of the movers in the team were very respectful, courteous, enthusiastic, and treated our belongings as if they were their own. Overall, for the reasonable rate that they charge and the superb work that they do, there is no other moving company in the Providence area that can compete with Movers of Honor. This company should be called Men of Honor. Because that is who showed up to my home today. My husband and I were so stressed about moving and thinking of dealing with a moving company. We have had movers that have come and they were late, smelled like weed, smelled like liquor and were on their phones the entire time. Not these men. They called me 15 minutes before they were due and showed up on the dot. They introduced themselves and got started right away. They were so cordial and agreeable. They set up our furniture and left the place looking fantastic. They were so professional and quick, they were done in less time than anticipated. So my price was a lot lower than I expected to pay. If I ever have to move again, I will call these men without hesitation. Do yourself a favor and look them up if you need to move. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. Mark and his crew were beyond awesome! They came to my house and introduced themselves and after getting a quick rundown of what exactly I needed moved they got straight to work. They were so fast with packing up my house, and they didn't just do things quickly and carelessly, they treated my things like they were their own! They took care of everything like it was priceless. I had to have a fridge moved to a different location other than to where I was moving and they didn't skip a beat. They are extremely efficient and professional. When moving my stuff into my new place they even set up my bedframe and helped situate my couch where I wanted to put it. Movers of Honor is the moving company you never heard of and may regret never hiring. All employees I interacted with were polite, pleasant and very service oriented. The movers arrived on time, assessed which furniture and appliance items were to be moved, used shrink wrap or blankets to protect, broke down the refrigerator french door / freezer components and started loading the truck like putting a jigsaw puzzle together. The unloading process at the destination was the reverse. I have never hired a moving service before. My experience was very positive and I cannot think of one bad thing to say. If you're in Providence and need to move anything, these guys are the best! They came on time and moved so quickly, so efficiently that they completed the job in half the time estimated. First of all, they are the most accommodating movers in RI. Other moving companies will insist on charging you for their "travel time," which equates to an additional hour to 2 of time, even when they are in RI. In addition, other movers will give you a 3-4 hour window of time where they will come, but if you need a guaranteed time, they can't do it. We needed movers to move approximately 100 boxes from storage rooms in one building at Brown University to another building on campus. Took only 1hour 15 min. In the past, with 3 movers, it took 3 hours! Finally, they are incredibly trustworthy and you know they aren't out to cheat you. read more

My husband and I had a one way move from RI to MD, so I rented a moving truck and hired Movers of Honor to help us load the truck. We had an entire storage unit full of extremely heavy furniture and a house full of stuff as well. Mark and Angelo packed our truck at the storage unit with such ease and in only 1 hour!!! They then came to my house (two towns away from the unit) and continued to complete the move. Our entire mission was only 2 hours! All three were handled impeccably well, turning what is normally a stress-filled event into a pleasant day. Mark and his guys are respectful and work hard, non-stop. They packed their truck smartly and hustled to minimize time on the job. They billed exactly as advertised, and we received exactly what they promised, within $10 of their quote. And no whining about anything, ever -- even when they saw that our xerox copier and color printer were industrial size and larger than advertised. Can't recommend this family run company highly enough. Mark and his team were prompt and so professional, polite and courteous that it took the stress out of the day. They (unlike other companies I have moved with) shrink wrapped my upholstered furniture and wrapped my items in blankets. They expertly packed my unit to fit all my items with room to spare. Mine wasn't an easy move as I had kitchen cabinets and a dishwasher to store for remodeling my future kitchen as well as heavy stone statuary. Mark and his team had endless energy. I highly recommend Movers of Honor. They were on time, easy to communicate with, extremely efficient and went the extra mile. We had a three-person team help disassemble two beds and get them down and back up old New England staircases on either end of the move. They navigated busy city streets and a highway flawlessly. When we walked into our bedroom in the new house at the end of the day, the movers had set it up exactly like it was in the old house that morning, down to the rug under the bed and the lamps on the nightstands.
