Wanted to give a shout out to Economy Pest Control in general, and "our guy" Tony McMahon in particular. Economy is GREAT to work with, with solid performance and success in eradicating the rodent problem we were having, and the subsequent maintenance that has continued to keep the little varmints at bay since they started providing their services. In particular, I wanted to say that Tony McMahon is one of those kind of guys who does their job sufficiently well to have gotten me to take the time to write this stellar review. He's conscientious, has good follow-up, with great attention to detail...he even took the time to point out to us an issue that wasn't even Pest-Control-related... On one of his recent visits, he noticed a strong "exhaust smell" under our house...we had recently had a new HVAC system installed, and there were some issues with both the settings on the unit itself (gas pressure set for Natural Gas, but ours is a Propane system), in addition to some venting issues. It could have become a hazardous situation had it continued on in perpetuity (could have been something we didn't notice for a long-enough period of time to become dangerous). So Tony taking the time to bring it to our attention was completely instrumental in us contacting the HVAC folks to address the issue(s) more expediently, saving us from a potentially larger problem down the road... Tony...you ROCK! (And I just heard that LOP will no longer be your territory...HOPEFULLY, E.P.C. has sufficient depth of talent and hiring prowess that your replacement will be as good as you have been!) This was our first service experience with Economy. Our service representative is Chase. We used several Pest Control Services in the past which I don't really have any complaints about however, I can see by comparison that Economy Pest Control is a notch above them in their commitment to the business. They have great people so they must treat their people well. They also have a really nice website and a most incredible booth set up at the Auburn Home Show where we first met them. What fantastic customer service response---THANK YOU TAYLOR!! We've had problems years ago with voles & we feared our vole problem had returned. Economy sent our regular guy out immediately, tools in hand as he got out of his pickup - and after a pleasant hello went to work on the holes, examining, commenting, giving options and getting rid of our problem in one trip. CALL THEM! EXCELLENT service, which I ended up not needing. I absolutely trust these people. I suspected a bed bug problem because of bites on my child. I was able to get a next day appointment and the young man arrived as scheduled. NO CHARGE. He spent about an hour looking for evidence of bed bugs (and found none), answering lots of questions and was SO HELPFUL. He was honest. I was RELIEVED! EcoGuard from Folsom had been out several months before and I just did not feel comfortable with the guy who came out. He just wanted to make a sale. And, I was charged $125. The guy was like a slick salesman and said things I knew not to be true. He was like a "yes man". Treating for bed bugs is EXTREMELY expensive! read more

I have been using Economy Pest for over 20 years. I called them today to request suspending my service for a few months as we just got a new puppy and he's prone to picking up literally everything along the base of the house. They said their chemicals don't hurt puppies. Sure. I replied that I'm not comfortable with that and I'd rather just suspend the service for a while. He said they can't suspend the service - that I would have to cancel and then be subject to a start-up fee when I wanted to resume. REALLY? After 20 years of never missing a payment - over $7,000 to this company, and they tell me that!!???!!! Awesome customer service guys! I told him that trying to charge me a start-up fee in a few months wouldn't fly with me and he didn't seem to care. Recommendation - find a company who really values your business and your concerns. read more

I had service done with Scott in Auburn. I called to give him(Ofc) my debit card info over the phone they took it. I agreed to two payments of 93.00 Then he called me back the next day said he couldnt run my card the numbers were incorrect. Whatever I'm thinking so I immediately called him back and gave the numbers again. In the meantime I get letter from collection that's nice He called me back again 2 days later and said the numbers again were incorrect I give them Again he calls me again by now I'm done dealing with these people I have given correct card number three times . I then paid collection the full 189.00 only To find out two week earlier he had run my card too after telling me the numbers were not correct.. He had ran my card amazing it works duh for 93.00 after I authorized collection the full 186.00. Why would he call repeatedly and lie the card wasn't working why would he. What a shit show operation He Does not listen to the customer he lies cheats and calls his customers liers when customer is upholding their responsibility. Plays a con game. ASS HOLE !!!!!!
