The dude behind the counter was on the phone selling a used refrigerator and stove - sight unseen - to some insane person. The conversation took about 15 minutes. At about ten minutes, he acknowledged my presence and said, "be right with you". Five minutes later he hung up, looked at the part in my hand, and said he had it in stock. He went into the store room and returned about 10 seconds later. He then said, "let me just ring in that phone order". After another 7 or so minutes of him messing with the paperwork and computer, I asked if he could just tell me how much it was. If it was something like $20, I'd just go ahead and wait for him to finish so that I could install it same day and make the wife happy. $52. FIFTY TWO DOLLARS! For those who want the math on that, that is a 377.5% mark up vs what I could get it for on Amazon. I hate giving Jeff Bezos money if I can support a local business, but that is RIDICULOUS! We have replace many appliances via A & K Appliance Distributing in our rental units. Unfortunately, we have seen a major decline in their customer service and quality of appliances. Most recently we purchased a Dishwasher that obviously was a lemon with 2 service tickets and each service ticket was 2-3 visits over a 2 year period. By no surprise this unit doesn't work and now (2.5 years after purchase) and A&K responses is it is out of warranty and to replace it. We are happy to replace it if they would work on the pricing with us, put they want to sell another dishwasher at full price. We are very disappointed in their customer service after working with them for over 9 years.

When I finally reached Dori again, she refused to help, claiming it was my fault because the machine was "functional." After pushing, she finally sent workers to check it out. They acknowledged the odor, as did two other workers in my home, but Dori still refused to take responsibility. She was rude, dismissive, and showed no concern for customer satisfaction. No refund, no exchange--just a horrible attitude.
