My dryer emitted a strange odor. I knew it required service and called Roka Appliance Repair. When I called the company was able to provided same day service. Aaron was our service technician and was knowledgeable about European Appliances. He was professional and a good communicator to explain the issues to me and ordered a new part for my machine. The new part arrived he did a great job at my request to take photos for me of the inside of the machine before and after. That way I could see how he was able to thoroughly clean the inside of the machine before a main part was replaced. Now I feel comfortable moving forward to keep the machine and not have to replace it. I used them for a washer repair. The techs were knowledgeable and communicative. However, they charged me $540 for less than an hour's worth of work. Then the tech told me they tried to fix it the easy way, which looked like it worked but the washer stopped working within 5 minutes of them leaving. I called them to schedule the techs to come out again and I never heard back. Now i still have a broken washer and am out $540. read more

We requested quotes from a number of different companies on yelp. Roka responded immediately and they were very helpful and quick through the Yelp chat. They gave me a quote and offered to come out that day to do the work. They were flexible when I needed to move the scheduled time from Wednesday to Thursday. Their pricing was super competitive. And they offer a military discount, which is always so kind and appreciated. Chase arrived at the house on time. He texted and called to keep me posted on his arrival. We needed his help to install a gas oven. Chase encountered a couple problems (caused by a contractor, not Roka) and was extremely helpful and thoughtful to make sure he could get the job done. Today 05/29/2026. My technician was Aaron C. When he arrives to your house please ask to see the products that you paid for that are on your invoice. When he is done please ask to see, hold the removed items. Today Aaron C (Asian) gentleman came to fix my whirlpool refrigerator with items he said he ordered. Gave me such a hard time when I asked to see the items, finally showed me. We questioned the heating element because it did not look like a picture I googled. He states he replaced and he was done, I then asked to see the items removed. He flat out refuses to show me, says it is against company policy. After informing him I was not going to pay the final bill until he shows me my removed items as none were a environmental hazard and they technically belongs to me and I was going to involve his office he hands me the Defrost thermistor assy piece with cut wires and the Bi metal stub, but refuses to give me the box, bag or the Heating Element Essy he removed from my fridge. He actually days my refrigerator has 2 heating elements. After minutes of me refusing to back down he gives me something broken from a GE refrigerator and the box that he arrived with. I have a whirlpool and my heating element does not look anything like this. All of this is still going on with company and I hope they realize they have a employee who lies and apparently steals from the customers. I am not backing down on this until I am refunded $325 for the part Aaron C did not order and or did not replace. I dont like being lied to and taken advantage of. For anyone, do not settle when they say they wont show you want you are paying for. You as customer have a right to see what you paid for and what they removed. Pictures are of the heating element for a GE refrigerator, I have a whirlpool. Ps. I recorded this whole thing. This was not a la gage barrier as his English is pretty good in my recording. Repair of my elec range took 4 trips to diagnose a broken wire in the back panel. Tech was convinced it was an element so we paid for that before finding the bad wire. Three months and his repair of the wire has failed. Not a good experience. read more

I was very impressed with the assistance I received from technician Matt at Roka Appliance Repair and with the company itself. When my dryer failed I used Yelp to find suggestions for highly rated repair services. I received a call from Roka almost immediately and obtained a very timely appointment. Matt came to do the repairs. He clearly was very knowledgeable and very personable. He quickly found the problem. It required a belt that's no longer widely sold and he was able to locate one. He returned when promised and quickly made the fix for my dryer. I thought the estimated price was more than fair, and I would direct any other appliance repairs to Roka with a request that they try and work my job into Matt's schedule. Had a great experience with Matt. Had issues with our oven after a power surge that fried our main circuit board. He ordered the part and was back in a few days to install it. Roka ended up refunding my service fee and paying for half of the cost of the parts directed to buy that did not resolve the issue. From the beginning to the end great communication. I reached out for an appointment and was contacted in minutes. After explaining what was going on I was provided a quote for service, after agreeing, I set up an appointment. Before appointment Chase called and let me know he finished early and would arrive about 30 minutes early, asked if he needed to wait in his car or could he start early. Very courteous. At appointment Chase was professional, found the issue quickly. He explained the options and pricing if we proceeded with repair. We chose repair. He didn't have the part with him but found it was in stock at the shop. He offered to go get it and return within the hour or schedule appointment for more convenient time. We opted for same day. He completed the work, cleaned up after himself, and explained the warranty, provided receipt. Very professional. I would recommend Chase anytime. Needed repair to our microwave which was part of a built-in oven/microwave combo. Danny and Aron arrived within confirmed time window (texted 30 minutes ahead of time) and immediately diagnosed the problem. The fix itself was easy but job was very labor intensive as they had to pull the oven out of the wall fixture and take apart everything. Great service. Great guys.
