***BE CAREFUL FRIENDS*** Ecoshield can talk a big talk but they do not deliver, at least for my family. We were told so many wonderful things from one of their sales members, Byron, and have been so disappointed to find that they do not deliver on their service as promised. Twice when we reached out to get service for a new pest ("between quarterly visits, if you ever need anything, we will be right out") the message didn't even make it to the office to set up a visit and when we called the office they could not send anyone out sooner than 2 weeks. When you have wasps on your house or a colony of ants show up, you want to know that the company you pay to service you, will prioritize their time to show up. The salesman went on and on about how they are different than your average pest control team; went as far as to say they bury traps under the ground to eradicate entire nests, which we later found out is not true at all. They promise an elite service unlike their top competitors, that is why you will pay twice as much, but the service they deliver is far from elite and I feel like an absolute fool. I was charged for a service while I was at work... took pics when I got home and there was a hornets nests and cob webs all over the front of my home! Also my backyard gate was locked and my dogs were out so the backyard was never sprayed or swept, yet I was charged the full amount for work that was never completed! It's a scam and a ripoff! When I asked for a card, he stated he didn't have any. He was very pushy with a " I will not take no for an answer" attitude. He had a truck in the neighborhood- an obvious ploy to gain business. Red flag " any business who needs to come to you to find customers..." He persuaded me to let them do the job. I still have mice, I have ants in my home and I have large carpenter ants (something that is NOT covered); however, I was not given a resolution to destroy the carpenter ants nor given the opportunity to have that particular service done. I was told they "will run away." A large No Soliciting sign on the front door didn't deter them and when I pointed it out he all but ignored me and continued with his pitch. This is happening all over town as reported on Nextdoor.com. The best they can do on the negative feedback they receive on their site is nothing but "We wish you the best." I had the worst experience with this company. It was about 7:30 pm and they come knocking at my door the rep told me that my neighbors use them all the time. They told me no contract which is not true either since I am renting currently. I was told I would pay $150.00 if I canceled before the rep comes to my house before 8:15 pm that night obviously I didn't. I was told it was all natural and safe for my dog (which is not true) had to wait about a day for my dog to go outback and was told to wait an hour and watch my dog make sure he didn't lick anything in the house where they sprayed. They come about 8:15 pm and sprayed and said they would clean the spider webs from the garage and around the house (which didn't happen since it was dark and they could not see). About a month later I receive an email saying they are coming out and it would be $175.00. I said no I was told I can call the next time I was ready and then they said that it would be $150.00 if I cancel. I didn't know I was canceling since it was "not" a contract. I ended up canceling since it is $175.00 every 3 months and a follow-up after 30 days which is $175.00. I called their customer service number and they would not remove the $150.00 and they told me well if you don't pay it will go to collections. I asked to speak to a manager and they said they didn't have one (keep in mind, not from the US). I ended up forking out $150.00 so it wouldn't go to collections. Avoid this company! I had one service done on 9/2 and that's all I agreed to when their rep knocked on my door to set up this service. Before having the service done, I had called their rep to confirm that that was all I was signing up for, and I received confirmation of that. I saw he emailed me a contract with my forged signature for a quarterly agreement that I did not sign or approve of. This is disturbing and illegal. After the 9/2 service, I paid my bill. I then received a text on 10/13 that Eco Shield was coming back the next day for an additional service, even though we didn't ask for that service. I called to cancel that as well and never received other services. Ecoshield is now saying I have another bill for cancelling this contract I never signed. I've emailed this company twice with no response and called three times without anyone resolving this issue. Over the phone, they mentioned the contract, which I never signed, therefore is invalid. This bill should be terminated and I hope to save others this headache with this review. I should have read other reviews before getting involved with this company that knocked on my door as it sounds like others are having this same problem. Shame on Ecoshield for forging signatures for ongoing contracts and for not being transparent with their services. Now they've sent my bill to claims, so that's another headache for me to deal with. read more

After 24 months and spending over $1300 they back-charged me $200 for some BS upfront discount even though I still paid $99 for the first service. In business, we call that new customer acquisition cost. Apparently there was one more service left on my "agreement" so now they are sticking it to me - what a scam and I am reporting to the Arizona and Colorado Attorney General. If they think I'm going to just give them $200 for nothing, they are out of their mind. I've read a plethora of reviews and I've experienced everything people are saying. In addition, NO ONE answers customer service phone calls. That's a total joke. I've called multiple times to have the line just drop after waiting and waiting and waiting for someone to pick up the phone. They don't value your time. When I was able to leave a voice message, there have been no return phone calls. Zero customer service. You will regret it! Worst company ever and a total scam! You have to sign a year contract and they guarantee to get rid of your pests. However, there service and product are both worthless. It doesn't work at all. I have lived in my home four years and never had any pests in my home at all. The only reason I hired them was because they guaranteed they could get rid of the ants and the wasps outside. They came out 4 times over the spring and summer and never, ever did they resolve the problem. The ants were as problematic as always as were the wasps. The last time they came out, I even pointed out where the wasp's nest were located and they said they would take care of them. They did not! They didn't kill them and they didn't take down the nests. All they did was hang a wasp trap on my fence that caught a total of four wasps. I have tried to cancel with them for 3 months now and they will not do it unless I pay a $150 cancellation fee. What's even worse than their service is their customer support. It took me 2 months to get a supervisor to call me back and that supervisor barely speaks English and will only threaten collections if you don't pay the cancellation fee. Well, contracts work both ways...I pay money for a service that meets what it guarantees. I should not have to pay for a service that is worthless and I should not have to pay a cancellation fee either. If anything, they should refund all my money for their worthless product and service. Very predatory trying to get you to sign up, they are very pushy and wouldn't really take no for an answer. Quickly go through the contract on their iPad without explaining everything, making it impossible to cancel before 1 year without paying a large fee. Then they complete the service more frequently than originally explained so they can charge more often. When the salesman comes to your door, they tell you that there will be 2 applications in the first quarter, covered under the 1 charge but your account will be charged and they will offer no resolution. A rep showed up at our door on Saturday, saying he wanted to give us a great deal on pest control. My husband and I told him that we couldn't really afford it this month but we would be interested in the future when my husband started his new job. The rep told us it would not be a problem and that we could make the payment in August. I then received a call and an e-mail telling me I needed to update my payment information and late fees would apply if not paid this month. The service I received from the tech Milo was great and we look forward to the continued service on our home. I however am disappointed that I was talked into starting the service this month which will make our finances a little tight. read more

I paid Proshield $756 for an exclusion service that they claimed would "guarantee" no mice in my house for up to a full year. Although they said they would call to schedule this appointment, they just showed up on 9/11 while I was not home, were here for approximately 15 minutes according to my neighbor, and left without performing the contracted service. They then charged me the full amount. I have had mice throughout the house ever since, and numerous phone calls to their business over the course of the past week have not been answered or returned. However, the team lead me to hastily signing a contract obligating me to pay them $159 every time they show up, and the "plan" was for them to show up 6 times a year! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Their salespeople are very pushy and "eager" to make the sale. All they could talk about was how many discounts they would give me and how badly I needed their services. Coincidently, they breezed over all the important details of the contract. Nothing was ever mentioned about it being a 2-year contract and that if I miss a service, nothing is covered. When I reached out to them with questions about my contract (as the majority of it was never brought up), they never responded. The auto-response email said they would respond within 24-48 hours so after 10 business days, I reached out again. With no response again, I called. The operator informed me that I had sent the email too long ago and now it was lost in their inbox. They seemed very frustrated that I was contacting them at all. Since my contract stated that I was due for a service that month, I went to contact their texting number (where my previous appointments had been scheduled) and the number had been removed from my contacts. DO NOT use this company. They are liars, thieves and will say anything to get you to sign a contract, then refuse to perform the services promised. The sales person who came to my door, Mason, lied to me about multiple things to get my service. First he told me, by name, that a specific neighbor was using the service and was happy with it. I talked to her a few days later and she had never even heard of the company. Next, Mason told me that they could treat my crawlspace, which is where my pest issue is. They treated it on the first service, but after that refused and stated they are not allowed to go in the crawlspace. Lastly, Mason never told me that the second service was billable until after I signed the contract. He also told me that I was receiving a huge discount on service because I was the 12th and final home in their route. I would imagine this was a lie as well. When I spoke to the local Denver office manager, she was extremely rude and told me that there was nothing she could do except transfer me to customer support. When I talked to customer support, they stated the the crawlspace WAS part of my contract and he didn't understand why they were not performing services according to the contract. Since the local office was not performing the services in accordance with the contract, I asked to cancel and for them to waive the cancellation fee.
