This is the worst company out there, they are all about locking you into a contract, last summer they came to my door, and the sales person made it sound really good , 145.00 quarterly, but what they don't tell you is for any reason you cancel a service you no longer get the discounted rate, so if you don't read the contract really carefully, that's how the get you!! I paid Proshield $756 for an exclusion service that they claimed would "guarantee" no mice in my house for up to a full year. Although they said they would call to schedule this appointment, they just showed up on 9/11 while I was not home, were here for approximately 15 minutes according to my neighbor, and left without performing the contracted service. They then charged me the full amount. I have had mice throughout the house ever since, and numerous phone calls to their business over the course of the past week have not been answered or returned. At this point, this is my only option. read more

However, the team lead me to hastily signing a contract obligating me to pay them $159 every time they show up, and the "plan" was for them to show up 6 times a year! When the salesman comes to your door, they tell you that there will be 2 applications in the first quarter, covered under the 1 charge but your account will be charged and they will offer no resolution. These guys are great. I live in a new development and the types of pests we get are pretty extreme. These guys knock down my hornets nests and come right away if something weird happens between services. Like when our porch was covered with ants right before my son's birthday party. Please don't use this company. They don't do a good job at all. The first time they did a treatment, they were outside my house a total of 8 minutes. They missed a hornet nest, spider nest in the window well. I called and they came back and still left the spider nests. Didn't spray inside the house. Don't sign the contract, if you do, read the fine print. The salesman told me that I could cancel if I wasn't happy with the service, but didn't tell me that they would charge you a cancellation fee. I feel like the company just take your money and don't do a professional job. Then they charge me for a 2nd application even thought I called to delayed it because I was going to be out of town. I'm not sure if they came over or not. But I was charge for it. From my experience I would not recommend to use this company . They do not do what they say they will do. Shameless company. A guy named Claudio came knocking on our door and immediately started begging us to use their service. He claimed that our neighbors were using their service too and that he was giving us a lesser amount charge than them. And so he kept begging us not to speak to our neighbors about it. We later found out he was lying. He also lied that it was not a contract and we could cancel it any time. They pretended to spray around our house and after came with their tablet asking us to sign a lot of sections. They told us it was only to set up our profile. That's how they trick you to sign the contract. Then when I asked if after the initial charge every visit would be $50 the guy said yes. However every visit was $160 for us. The second time they claimed they sprayed our yard, I was home didn't hear a thing outside. We have security cameras that didn't pick anything. No guy came knocking on the door to open the back yard gate for him. We have since then been trying to contact Claudio but he's ghosted us. We have been calling the customer service department they keep us hung all the time with the answering machine. The email they say we can write to them with is fake. If we get a chance to speak to an agent and explain everything they tell the managers about it. The managers then pretend to call you once when you are at work and when you call back to say that you missed his call the agent tells you he will be calling again. Which he never does. And now with all their ignorance I keep getting emails saying my payment is past due. They want more money everyday from me. The silent threat to me here is that its going to effect my credit score if I don't pay them for a service never provided. So here I am collecting all the possible evidence I can to show the court how this company is robbing me. Will let you know more after. read more

This guy came to our door yesterday and did the whole, "we were just in the neighborhood" routine. I did not come to the door but spoke to him through the Ring camera. I thought he was with a local dairy service as he was holding a bottle of coffee creamer...still not sure why though. After I told him a few times that I was not interested, he then told me that if I came out to talk with him then he can show me what he has. I just ended the conversation as he clearly was not listening. For some reason, he took me not being interested as a signal to come back again today. This time I just watched him on my camera...2 minutes and 34 seconds later, mult knocks, and rings, he decides to leave. Oh yea, the no soliciting sign by our door should have clued him in that if I need a service, I have a thing called the intranets to look one up. I posted my experience to another local, social site and many of my neighbors experienced the same treatment, if not worse, than I did. I signed up for Pro Shield Pest Solutions when they came to me house in July with a very effective sales person. The guy was kind, and convinced me that we needed to hire them to protect our new baby from the bugs. In my delirious new mother state I agreed. It wasn't until the very end of the sales pitch, after his guys had began work, that I realized I was entering into a two year contract with them. I should have asked them to stop then, why I didn't I don't know. They have been to our home several times now and we have seen no decrease in bugs. We didn't have a huge problem to begin with, just a few spiders in the basement. However our sticky spider traps are still catching the exact same number per week. I have the pictures to prove it. Short version: - Their sales rep (Dante) lied about their guaranteed performance, and customer satisfaction guarantees; Their customer service rep lied about cancelling the service AND failed to mention that I would be breaching my contract by cancelling, despite failed performance on their part. Nathan, their "Executive Manager" only had one response to EVERYTHING I had told him: "You signed a contract, sir." I am now being billed for $245 in addition to the $310 I ALREADY PAID! Detailed Version: I signed up with Pro Shield Pest Solutions, via a door-to-door rep. They had a contract, and were very clear that they would perform quarterly services for 1 year. When I objected to the contract, their rep explained that if I was not completely satisfied with the performance of their pest service I would receive a full refund. I signed their agreement, and their technicians performed the initial service. I continued to find large spiders, and millipedes (which they assured me would be taken care of) living comfortably on my front porch. I called them and a team promptly showed up to respray the area. This helped for a few days, but then the bugs began to return, unimpeded by Pro Shield's efforts. After their follow up appointment, which I was told would end the bugs, nothing changed. I called to cancel the services, and asked for the refund. Since the manager was out, I was told that I would receive a call back, to discuss the refund, but that the service would be cancelled. No call came, and I was extremely busy with my new business position, so I was simply going to let it go, and call it a "lesson learned." Today, roughly two months later, I received an automated call informing me about an upcoming service. I called the company to figure out why I was still on the schedule, and was promptly informed that they had NO record of me cancelling the service. I asked to speak with a manager, and was transferred to Nathan, an Executive Manager, who confirmed that there were no notes whatsoever about me cancelling anything. Moreover, not only am I not eligible for any refunds, but if I want to cancel the service, I would have to PAY $245 for breaking the contract! read more

For some reason the sales people are told to not mention that there is a cancellation fee or that you will be charged every one month to 90 days for the service. We were told that there would be a one time fee of $75 to remove pests, spray for such pests, and I thought that was pretty cheap. Apparently it is. When the technician came to actually perform the service you're required to sign a 24 month contract. Coincidently, they breezed over all the important details of the contract. Nothing was ever mentioned about it being a 2-year contract and that if I miss a service, nothing is covered. When I reached out to them with questions about my contract (as the majority of it was never brought up), they never responded. The auto-response email said they would respond within 24-48 hours so after 10 business days, I reached out again. With no response again, I called. The operator informed me that I had sent the email too long ago and now it was lost in their inbox. They seemed very frustrated that I was contacting them at all. Since my contract stated that I was due for a service that month, I went to contact their texting number (where my previous appointments had been scheduled) and the number had been removed from my contacts. DO NOT use this company. They are liars, thieves and will say anything to get you to sign a contract, then refuse to perform the services promised. The sales person who came to my door, Mason, lied to me about multiple things to get my service. First he told me, by name, that a specific neighbor was using the service and was happy with it. I talked to her a few days later and she had never even heard of the company. Next, Mason told me that they could treat my crawlspace, which is where my pest issue is. They treated it on the first service, but after that refused and stated they are not allowed to go in the crawlspace. Lastly, Mason never told me that the second service was billable until after I signed the contract. He also told me that I was receiving a huge discount on service because I was the 12th and final home in their route. I would imagine this was a lie as well. When I spoke to the local Denver office manager, she was extremely rude and told me that there was nothing she could do except transfer me to customer support. When I talked to customer support, they stated the the crawlspace WAS part of my contract and he didn't understand why they were not performing services according to the contract. Since the local office was not performing the services in accordance with the contract, I asked to cancel and for them to waive the cancellation fee. I have been using Proshield solutions since this past summer. Every technician has been professional and has explained and answered my questions during the appt's. I have had a infestation of spiders in my house for years and every time it is sprayed, I see a lot of dead on the floor and less visible love ones after the application. Their customer service is pretty much non-existent, no one ever answers the phone and they don't bother to return voicemails. I had to have them out three times for mice because they never sealed up all the holes each time they came out. And that was after spending almost $8,000 on pest, rodents, and insect remediation in my attic which was supposed to include them sealing up all of the holes throughout my entire house where rodents could get in. I had to finally go buy bug bombs because I cannot get a return call to have them out and my son and I wake up every morning with spider bites and we found two black widows in our backyard. read more

In my opinion the current rating does not speak to the level of service and quality I have received from this business. I have been using ProShield for about two years and each and every time the service techs are professional and kind. I have lived in my house for 20 years and I continually had issues with ants of all kinds and wasp/hornets. Ever since ProShield stepped on my property I see great results. As far as I can see the ants are gone and the wasp/hornet nest are no longer present on the property or hiding in the wood patio furniture. As I a matter of fact, my contract with ProShield is coming to an end, yet I will continue to request quarterly service from this company as the service and cost are appropriate for me and my home. EcoShield of Denver, and northern Colorado formerly known as ProShield p On 8-3-2021 Ecoshield came out to do termite and mouse prevention. For the termite prevention, they had said they would place a bait station every 10 feet around my house, which would be 18 bait stations total. They actually emplaced only 15. When I asked about the missing 3, they ignored me. I asked for a partial refund and they ignored me again. They have consistently ignored me on such issues. At the same time, they did mouse prevention, stopping up 6 crevices where they could enter. They were supposed to do that and also put new weatherstripping on the bottom of the garage door. They skipped the weatherstripping, yet charged me for it and marked the work as done. They did not respond to calls or emails about it, but I was able to find out from another office that a followup visit had been scheduled to install the weatherstripping on 8-10-2021. It was at a bad time for me, but given their extremely bad track record as far as contact went, I altered my schedule to make it work, rather than risk losing my chance to get the work done which I had already paid for. They did come out and install the weatherstripping, but broke my garage door in the process. Their service manager, Daniel, came out to inspect the damage, and he said he would have Scott, the branch manager send out a garage door company to repair it at their cost. Scott, the branch manager did have a garage door company come out and look at it, then said he would schedule the work. After a couple weeks, when I called again, he said he was having trouble scheduling the garage door company and may have to go with another one. That was the last I ever heard from Scott. At first, when I would call for updates, they always said he was in meetings. Then after a while they said his phone number couldn't have calls transferred to it. Then after a while all my calls went straight to voicemail. At one point, the secretary even told me she didn't know Scott's last name. Another office told me they were not allowed to tell me Scott's last name. I called a garage door company from the yellow-pages and got my garage door repaired in 2 days. I sent the receipt to the local branch, and then to the corporate offices for reimbursement. The local Denver branch ignored this too, like they have so often done to me. The corporate office promised to contact the local office and urge him to pay it (apparently they can't make him pay it). Scott ignored them too. I called the corporate office again and went through the same sequence four times - they said they would urge Scott to pay, and Scott ignored them. I left a message for two local managers, including Scott, saying I would open a case with the Better Business Bureau if I did not at least hear back from them in some manner (call or email) within 24 hours. They ignored that. I opened the case, and they ignored it...until its deadline was about to expire and then they posted a short, irrelevant, message in which they quibbled about the scheduling of when to fix the garage door, even though it had already been fixed by that point, and said that, because I had not mentioned the now-irrelevant scheduling concern, I was being dishonest. That shows their attitude pretty well. They are either not paying attention, or are being dishonest themselves. Either way, they have shown again and again that they do not care one bit about responding to their customers, or doing what they have promised to do. I wanted to share my experience in hopes that others could avoid going through what I have gone through. Oh yes, and in the midst of all this, I had some experiences with their "satisfaction guarantee" that they talk about a lot. I asked for a mouse bait trap to be added, due to the vulnerability of the garage (since the door would not close). They said sure, no problem, but didn't do it. Again and again we went through that. On my 8th request, I finally got the bait box. I also got drain flies in my kitchen sink. They sprayed for them during the regular service. But the flies came back a week later, so I called again, seeking to use that satisfaction guarantee, where they promise they will come out again for free in such a case. They said no, they would not come out, and that "if we did, we'd be out there every week". They then advised me to go to Home Depot and "buy those orange ball things - they will take care of it". They couldn't or wouldn't give me more detail. I looked at Home Depot and found nothing matching that description. I did some online research about drain flies and found ways to kill them myself, which worked. That research suggested that if Ecoshield had come out 2-3 times and sprayed, they drain flies life cycle would have been disrupted and the problem solved. They could have done that. They promise repeatedly to do that. But they refused to do that. It took me a while to learn my lesson, but now I have learned it - I will never read more

Tech came to my door when I wasn't home to try and sell my wife on the idea of pest control. We were told it was a one time service while they were in the area. Wife called me and said that since they were spraying some new homes in the area that they were offering a special one time price to spray our home. She called me while the tech was there and the tech got on the phone with me, and not once did he mention whatever my wife was signing was a 2 year agreement. Why would we sign a 2 year pest control agreement when we won't even be in the property that long? So without my knowledge, we have been entered into a 2 year agreement. I am finding all this out after the tech randomly showing up a few days ago, knocking on the door, he saw that no one answered, sprayed the outside, then auto charged my card from the first "one time service". I called customer service to cancel, and all the girl kept saying is "well we have the documents on file that show you agreed to a 2 year agreement" nice, way to think of the customer. Said I couldn't talk to a manager for up to 24 hours. Said I would have to pay $200 to cancel if we wanted to get out of the agreement! What a bunch of shady mother fuckers!!!! How dare you do business like this, no wonder your Yelp ratings are shit. It's because you are shady people, running a shady business scheme, and you don't even take care of the customer when they are telling you that we never intended to agree on a 2 year contract with your company. I will also be filing a complaint with the BBB to get this problem sorted out. Hired this company to help with a rodent issue. Instead they just come out to spray outside for bugs. When I ask about the rodent issues, they assure me that someone will be following up. After 3 times I called to cancel, just to be told that I would be charged an early cancellation. They confirmed that there were notes on my account and it was sent to their delivery manager, but apparently that's where it stopped. I requested an escalation and was told that someone should be able to get back to me in about 30 minutes. Hours later I get a callback from a manager that seemed oblivious to my concerns and informed me that she had 24 hours to call me back. I requested another escalation and now I'm filing complaints with BBB and writing reviews as I wait for that callback. read more

Absolutely ineffective product - I wish that I had read other reviews prior to allowing this company to service my home. I initially was introduced to ProShield by way of a "cold call" knock on my door. The representative of the company said that because they were servicing one of my neighbors, that they would give me their product at a reduced price. I should have listened to my inner voice, but because I had a spider problem, I went against my instincts and allowed them to immediately spray the exterior of my home. I was told that their product would absolutely take care of the spider problem. Well, it didn't - I did not see any improvement. Because I was so disappointed by ProShield's product, I called the company and terminated their service. Apparently, a technician came to my home and sprayed again, although I can't confirm that it was done because I wasn't called to schedule the appointment. The technician didn't announce his presence, didn't give me a chance to speak with him and also didn't give me the opportunity to have the interior of my home sprayed (which was included in bill), all of which I would have refused because of the ineffectiveness of the prior application. After numerous calls to the company to try to resolve the problem - where I was shuffled from one person to another, transferred to numerous extensions only to be "disconnected" several times, I give up! Considering my experience, save yourself a lot of trouble and choose another company. read more

Scam. Got a door hangar starting that they had done the follow up 'knock down' service, but it was obvious that this service had not been performed. I consequently called to cancel billing as I had not received the service for which I had paid. I was told that an account manager would be in touch shortly to discuss my cancellation A month later I received a bill for an additional $200 for 'early termination'. It took two months of emailing back and forth to get my 'executive account manager' Nathan on the phone to discuss the issue and he insisted that my cancellation broke their contract, not the failure of their technician to do the work that he had stated had been done. Apparently, my cancellation constituted a 'refusal of service' because I didn't give them another chance to complete the work that they had failed to perform the first time they notified me that it was complete. So, here I am: $350 down the drain, months of emailing, threats of collections, false statements of work done and attempts to connect.... And absolutely zero impact on pests. I can categorically guarantee that I will never work with this company again and will strongly recommend that others avoid them as well. read more
