Reliable, come on time as scheduled, send reminders of when they are coming. Notify us if they are unable to come. Also leave reminders to keep pets and kids inside for at least 1 hour after products are applied. We did notice a decrease in the first year we used this service in the mosquito, gnat and flea population around the house. We have 2 dogs and every other day they had a tick on them. After using the service far less...maybe 1 or 2 by end of summer. It was also a bad year for ticks and main reason we decided to try it. read more

If I could give them a one star review, I absolutely would. It has been a terrible experience essentially from the time of signing the contract through the end of the services that were provided. The problems began when we began getting services the actual pest issue on the exterior of our home that we began their services for we were informed during one of the services treatments that they are not actually able to get rid of those insects and there was nothing to be done about that In addition, their treatment of the interior of the home, which was not something that we were actually interested in caused an issue with mice which we had never had previously Had. It's impossible to leave their "contract" early and they continue to find reasons to contact you past the date of final service. Beware, high pressure sales guys come to prey on you door to door. My wife was interested in treatment for ticks, and so when they came, they pressured her into a contract. Name dropped our neighbors, which they probably just pulled from county records. When she said she wanted to talk to me first, they dropped the price and gave the classic ploy of artificial urgency - bam, $800 contract. Then the treatment guy shows up and starts cleaning our nonexistent cobwebs (feel bad for the guy). And they don't even treat the lawn because he said we didn't pay for that. $200 to cancel our contract. They may be effective when you actually do have pests, who knows, but they did completely unnecessary work for us and now we're down $339 after canceling. You win, EcoShield! UPDATE They did let us cancel without the cancelation fee since it was within 3 days, so we're only down $139. And also to be fair, the tech "Stephen Curry" (haha really?) was a nice, helpful guy with a nice clean uniform and wore shoe covers in our home. read more

EcoShield has been a quality and reliable service for us. We get quarterly and exclusion services (preventative work inside and outside the house to keep pests from getting into the house). They will come back for free if we see anything between services. One time, it was a wasp's nest that was made after a service, and they came and took care of it. Another time, it was those tiny ants who try to come in early spring. Additionally, Esteban(our technician) is always completely thorough in the service provided. He listens to my concerns and makes good decisions about the work that needs to be done. He does not rush through the process, and we are very happy when we see that Esteban will perform our quarterly and exclusion services. Additionally, I appreciate how polite he has always been. read more

If I could give negative stars, I would. This company is nothing short of a scam. I paid $600 for an ant treatment--ironically, ants I never had until after their first visit. The technician was at my home for less than two minutes, drilled two small holes, sprayed a single can of foam, and then claimed the outdoor treatment "wasn't needed" because it was wet outside. I was still charged the full amount. The so-called treatment didn't even last a day. Customer service has been equally appalling. I was repeatedly deflected, denied access to my salesperson, and given the runaround. The only decent customer service I encountered was from Harvey, who genuinely tried to help me. It's not her fault she works for a company this dishonest. Unfortunately, her effort couldn't undo the scam I was caught in. This company overcharges, underdelivers, and hides behind excuses. Their practices are dishonest, exploitative, and predatory. My advice: avoid them at all costs. When they show up at your door, shut it immediately. This company is a complete scam. read more

They will have you sign an agreement without seeing it first, and then charge a fee to cancel. And so many have said their "services" make pest issues worse or are totally ineffective. WARNING: This company is NOT USA-based. Most of their customer service and management operate overseas in the Philippines and Thailand. This company is an absolute scam -- do not do business with them. I signed a contract for roughly $830, which was presented to me as an exclusion treatment around the perimeter of my property to prevent mice from entering. At no point did my representative mention any quarterly charges. I was shocked to later discover recurring $165 quarterly fees that were never disclosed. After months of back-and-forth communication, I was finally able to cancel the contract -- yet they continue to try billing me $165. It's important to note that their service did not solve the issue I originally hired them for. I ultimately had to handle the problem myself, which completely resolved it. I've always left positive reviews for companies I work with, but this experience was the complete opposite. This company is deceptive, unprofessional, and extremely rude when confronted about their misleading practices. Scam. They throw pellets around your yard and run some kind of sponge around your gutters for $169 per visit. Door salesman claimed the tech would remove wasp nests around my home. After treatment, they were all still there. Salesman said the tech would come back. Tech never returns, and for 2 weeks the salesman ghosts me. My wife got fed up and removed the nests herself. I call HQ and they blamed me saying I was supposed to leave the nests alone, they were treated. Would've been nice to know, even the post service write up didn't make mention of that. Next time around, I had a tech come out the day after it snowed 8 inches, effortlessly threw some pellets around my house and dropped his reach pole with sponge and it rolled down my driveway before he picked it up and started using it on my house. About 5-7 mins total of work before driving off. When I complained again, they blamed me for not rescheduling due to weather. When I attempt to cancel all future services, they say my contract was for a year and there will be a $250 early termination fee(salesman did not make mention of this, all was done quickly on an iPad). I just wish they could've worked with me a little more, this could've been avoided quite easily. read more

Eco-Shield is a scam!!!! Three months ago, a smooth-talking, overly aggressive salesperson came through our neighborhood pushing Eco-Shield's services. He was relentless, insisting my neighbors were thrilled with the results. As a new homeowner, I wanted to take good care of my lawn and trusted that he was being honest. He wasn't. Not once did he mention that signing up meant being locked into a 24-month contract. When I specifically asked about cancellation, I was told I could cancel "anytime"--but conveniently, no one mentioned the hefty cancellation fee. The problems really began when I tried to reschedule a service. I called customer service and spent 15 frustrating minutes listening to "Jake" try to convince me that the treatment was essential and I shouldn't skip it. When I finally told him I wanted to cancel everything, I was put on hold for another 15 minutes, only to be offered a callback instead. Eventually, I got that call back. Thirty minutes later, after being transferred again, I was finally able to cancel my subscription. But not before enduring a long and pointless conversation with "Heidi," who kept trying to upsell me more services, despite my repeated requests to cancel. I eventually had to interrupt and tell her, as politely as possible, that I'd rather pay the cancellation fee than continue dealing with their customer service. Eco-Shield has no regard for its customers. There's no accountability, no transparency, and no professionalism. I'm an intelligent person, and I still feel foolish for falling for their sales pitch. Please learn from my mistake. Do NOT fall prey to Eco-Shield. If you want to cancel, prepare for a long, frustrating process--you'll likely spend at least an hour on the phone. But don't give up. You can cancel. Just save yourself the stress and go with a local company that actually cares about its customers. Do NOT give Eco-Shield your money. You will absolutely regret it. read more

The guys who came out and put the poison were great, friendly, knowledgeable. I don't recommend them for bee and nest removal. $179 initial fee and $179 twice a year for upkeep. This company is a sham! Last summer, we had some sales guy roaming the neighborhood selling the services. Not once did he tell my wife this was a 24 month "contract" nor did we get any paperwork saying as much. I recently lost my job so I wanted to cancel this waste of money. Well, I tried cancelling my account, which you cannot do online (how convenient) by calling them. I spent over 20 minutes on the phone with two separate representatives trying to do this. They repeat every single thing back and try to get you to stay signed on by offering discounts etc. After enough frustration and time wasted, the best I could do was "one more service at a discounted rate and then cancelling it". Saw no change in pests around our yard, found tons of spider webs and carpenter ants all around our property even though they assured me they'd get those cleaned up, called to cancel service, was given the run around with customer service, getting looped to call centers and put on hold, left emails and text messages where other correspondence had taken place and was told i had to cancel verbally on the phone, but took about 4 days to finally get through to someone, only to have them try to convince me to continue with the product and let me know that they would be charging me $250 to cancel early service (even though I specifically asked the tech who signed me up if I could cancel later, and he said "of course, anytime!"). Scammers Sales set me up on a yearly plan with quarterly service starting August. Despite that, I was asked to pay again in September. Service was in-and-out (~20 minutes) and the spider/web problem remained. When I tried to leave because of the billing and results, they charged a cancellation fee. I've saved all emails. I paid $400 to have mouse traps put down, and my house sprayed for bugs. well, in two visits by EcoShiled, zero traps were put down but they made up for it by increasing the number of bugs inside my home. After locking into a 2 year agreement, I was initially impressed with the professionalism the service men/women had, but after a few services I noticed more activity than before. I was assured that this was natural, that the pests would get "worse" before getting "better", but they never got better. I was also lied to when requesting mice service, saying that they "don't do mice" when it clearly states on the service agreement that mice are included. The cherry on top was that when attempting to cancel my account after the last agreed service, I was told I needed yet another service to complete my agreement. Finally, when I called to cancel the account after one more appt, they said they would send me information to cancel and never did. It's a SCAM. However try and reschedule or cancell a visit you get over seas people and they will not listen to you they keep rambling on and they lock you into a contract for either 4 or 5 visits at $179 a visit and if you don't do all 4 or5 they bill you $300 in a cancellation fee . And the price can go all the way down to $100 per visit after I told them I was done and my contract was up ,and they were automatically trying to send a guy to my house and I went thru hell talking to them to tell them I'm done and do not send another guy out here. would definitely not recommend them to pricey and the contract and trying to deal with their inside sales reps ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!! read more
