I just, 3 days ago, had a mini split system installed in my house. Been thinking about it for…read moreabout 3 yrs, talked to some contractors and then met with Alex from Joint Way and knew it was the time and person to do the job. From start to finish the process was professional, carefully explained, and so clean and neat, and so important to me was the cost. Alex and Herman did a beautiful job especially with the horrible weather. I believe Alex is an artist at what he does. Could not be happier.

After having Joint Way install a split system in my house, the only question I was left asking is…read morewhy I took so long to get it started. The short version of this review is that Alex and his team make things easy. They provided top quality service, at reasonable prices, and were done quickly! The slightly longer version is after several years of talking about getting a split system to replace the various window units I'd been using, I finally pulled the trigger this year. I had several contractors out to provide estimates. Right out of the gate, I appreciated Alex's approach. While the other contractors discussed various options with eyeball estimates, Alex actually took a few measurements to come up with ideas which could actually be implemented. As a result, he presented a few ideas on how to run things that others missed and (imo) offered the best end solution. Obviously pricing is going to be specific to the job at hand and a variety of other factors. In my case, I found the pricing to be very competitive while offering name brand and better equipment than others. A small deposit was required, which is fairly standard. When it came to installation, the team worked hard, quick, and clean. I got a 4 zone unit covering my Master bedroom, office, guest bedroom, and living room. They worked a slightly long first day to get all the physically installation done (along with all the loud work, so to speak). They came back for a half day to tie up the electrical, help me get the wifi setup, and wrap up. Regarding the electrical, in my case they needed to add a subpanel and when they noticed a few things not done quite right in my existing box, they made the necessary fixes/adjustments! The end result was top quality across the board. I'm comfortably sitting in the A/C as I type this review. Happy to provide Joint Way a 5-star review and have already recommended them to a few friends considering split systems. Hopefully this review and the accompanying few photos help your decision making process.

SK came out and did a seasonal checkup on our AC. We're new to the home and area and found SK…read morethrough Yelp. They were on time, checked out the AC, added coolant and then took a quick peek at the furnace. They said both look good for the age (17 years) and should be good for a while. I had questions about rebates for heat pumps and he had answers about rebates, rough costs and advantages of the new heat pumps. He reiterated that we didn't need to change out our current equipment but if we feel it's important for environmental reasons there are good options. We'll definitely be using them going forward, and have a fall furnace checkup scheduled.

since 2018 Saki has done the yearly maintenance our rental property for $54. Last cooling season he…read moresaid the outside unit was near the end of its life, the unit was in the house when purchased. It''s a rental when it dies, we'll replace it. On the first cold day this winter he claims the heater is all rusted out in the exchanger and has to be replaced, along with the entire system because a new heater can't work with an old air conditioner. Our neighbor suggested we call their guy. He's been in business for 30 years. Needless to say, the heater was not rusted he showed me the unit was very dirty, the fan motor and wheel were clogged with dirt and there were two dead birds in the chimney. The outside air conditioner was only 10 years old. I'm convinced SK had never done anything other than collect their fee and try to sell stuff we didn't want or need.

what a great company! Matt, Jack and Rob were professional and polite and their work is excellent…read more Shelly and Debra in the office listened to me and sent the "dream team" out at 8:00 AM to take care of my plumbing and HVAC needs. They explained everything to me and gave me a quote. They fixed another plumber's shoddy work (Ben Manis Plumbing-DO NOT USE HIM EVER!!!) and did not leave without completely checking both my plumbing and HVAC systems. They cleaned up after themselves and suggested that I get a contract (at a reasonable price!) for both systems for peace of mind which I did. THIS IS A GREAT COMPANY FROM TOP TO BOTTOM! I know I am in good hands now!

I contacted Hirschberg because I had used them previously for a couple of small jobs. This time I…read moreneeded a toilet fill valve replaced, a hot water faucet repaired, and possible insertion of a bidet wand on one toilet. I had the fill valve purchased new from Home Depot as I thought it would save me money to have my own new part. I also had the bidet wand. As is typical for some companies today there was a charge to come out--not to be applied towards my bill. The young man came in to see what the work was and then out to the truck to call the office on pricing. I told him/showed him, the fill valve I had purchased. He told me they will not use customer provided parts. I asked him to ask the office again about this policy , he did, and nothing changed. His pricing for these 3 jobs was over $900. I told him I wanted parts and labor to be itemized. Answer was 'we don't do that', 'we have flat fee pricing'. Between the cost and their refusal to use the new part I bought, I told him to only handle the fill valve part of the job however I insisted on an invoice with parts and labor itemized. Again, they refused to do so. I called the office to speak to the service manager, and he again refused to comply with my request, again repeated the flat fee pricing. In the end I got no-where. I asked to see the box the new fill valve came in--no surprise--same company part as what I had purchased. Cost for the 11 minutes max it took him to replace the part? $373.12 to include the $79. arrival charge. Did not get an itemized bill. What are they hiding? Knowing cost of parts and cost of labor is a routine and reasonable request of a customer, and many companies automatically provide this information without being asked. Addendum: I had the other 2 parts of the initial job completed by another company for $265.00 and automatically received an itemized bill. Note that even combining the two companies charges, the total is not close to exceeding $900 which Hirschberg quoted when they job costed initially.

Heat went out on a Friday and Jason was here in a few hours to check it out…read more He ran numerous test to determine the cause and determined that unfortunately the heater had died (13 years old or so) because of the heat exchanger. (Prior to Jason coming we had the people who originally installed the system come and check it out and they determined the same fault but we had the feeling we were being rushed into making a decision about replacing it) Everything was delivered on Monday morning by 8am and Brandon & Mat removed the old heater & AC and we had heat again by 3:30 pm. They did a fantastic job with no trace of the old system or work inside or outside the house being visible. Would not hesitate to call them in the future. Price-wise they were less than our first call.

Thankfully, I pursued my search and contacted Out Of a Jam. I've read their reviews, noted the authentic and upbeat tone of their customers, and, most importantly, how the company found the time to interact and respond to its clients. This winter, I'm currently pregnant, and I have four other children; therefore, tackling my heating issue for the comfort of my family took precedence over everything else this week. It was clear within seven minutes of meeting Jason that he was knowledgeable and skilled at his craft. He asked questions, was receptive to my responses, assessed the issue, and promptly began work. There is immense comfort in knowing your HVAC company can assuage your anxiety by communicating with you and making it quite clear that they are here to help, not sell you something you don't need. Jason was extremely personable and educated my husband and me on the coverage under our manufacturing warranty. He was quite meticulous in explaining what was working within our heating system and identifying the culprit behind the problem.  Professionalism and communication are the epitome of a successful business. Period. I appreciate Jason being punctual, respectful, and humorous. I know without a doubt that he is integral to the company's success. Out Of a Jam now has lasting customers, and my husband and I look forward to working with them when it's time to install our new cooling system. I could not recommend them enough.
