I was terrified by the thought that sewage would come pouring into the house. I know someone who had that happen and it was a nightmare. Mr. Sweeney had the most up to date equipment available. He ran a camera down through the toilet to see what was happening - and it was bad. The roots of a massive cherry tree had gone into the pipe and clogged it. When the backhoe started digging, they found a full septic tank the house was built in the 1950s. Unbelievable. It was just left there when the house was connected to the township sewer system. The full septic tank sat there for decades apparently. We had no idea when we bought this house 3 years ago - maybe the previous owner didn't know - or maybe they knew and did not disclose it. The sewer pipe zig zagged across the yard to avoid the septic tank! It's surprising this crazy mess lasted as long as it did. The tank was pumped out and broken into pieces. Mr. Sweeney did not increase the cost !! So now we have a proper sewer pipe to the township system - and the full septic tank is gone. I am so grateful to Mr. Sweeney, his son and his crew for helping us. And he is an incredibly nice guy! He briefed us every step of the way. Sweeney's Mechanical is absolutely the best !!

And happily they weren't. Throughout the whole process, from quote to installation, Bill was informative, friendly, neat, and professional. He took pride in his work and genuinely appreciated being able to be of service. He even went above and beyond and replaced a busted vent he noticed on our clothes dryer. I'm looking forward to a warm garage come next winter and will be calling on Bill for any future heating and A/C needs.

The pilot light wouldn't stay lit. He worked his way from all the obvious and inexpensive fixes and only got to the more more expensive ones when the simple fixes didn't work. He communicates very well -- he told me what he tried and what was next as he went. I ended up needing a new gas valve and pilot assembly. In my 20 years here, I have never seen my pilot so strong. I'm very pleased with his work. He also helped get my potbelly stove with a gas assembly working again and had some helpful thoughts for how to make it retain more heat.

Ended up Taking 7 days. they came out on July 2. Never replaced the Expansion valve bc this guy said it's not the Expansion valve, you have a leak. Took 2 1/2 hours to find the leak. Said the inside coil was bad, leaking Freon. He sent order to shop to get coil, should be a stock item. They will call you. I called them they said we don't have the coil in stock it will be 7-10 days to get it. I said are you kidding me. The guy was an absolute jerk to me, never even apologized for the first techs misdiagnosis, wasting a week on a part we do-not even need! It's 101 today was 102 yesterday. I said to them this is ridiculous I am supposed to wait 7-10 days after I have already waited 7 days. You haven't even apologized. He said there's nothing I can say or do to make you happy. They just don't care Don't even act like they care! I have never experienced such poor customer service in my life! Today is July 11. no air since June 25. They were supposed to have the part July 9. We have no clear path or timeline for getting our heat back and are extremely concerned at the integrity and competence of this business. Ours heat stopped working in the downstairs part of our home which includes the kitchen, living room and kids basement playroom. It took them 3 full days to send someone to investigate the issue despite it being below freezing the entire week. When someone finally did arrive, they told us a critical part broke and we needed to wait 2+ weeks for it to arrive. Then they brought the wrong part. Then they said the part still isn't fixing the issue. In the meantime, we've endured multiple days of below freezing temperatures, a snowstorm and multiple dinners literally wearing coats. We've tried calling the owner and his response was entirely unhelpful and apathetic. At this point, they can't explain why the system they installed one year ago isn't working. In the meantime, the service people that have come to our home have literally napped in our kids playroom couch and smoked pot in our driveway while "waiting for tech support.
