Fun atmosphere and amazing smoked meats! The Brisket has always been my #1 choice, but now Burnt Ends are my favorite - so flavorful and delicious!! Feels like you have been transported to a small Texas town, so authentic! Great, friendly service as well.

A hidden gem! I hadn't heard of this place until some fellow foodie friends recommended it to me. It's in West Point, just a short and pretty drive from West Lafayette. Before living here in West Lafayette, I lived in Texas and, walking into Eddie Joe's, I felt like I was walking back into Texas! Loved the vibe this place gave! The menu has a good mix of bbq and tex mex. I couldn't decide between tex mex and bbq so I ordered the brisket tacos. The food was good. Not my favorite, but good. My issue was the brisket was SO smokey. If you love a smokey flavor, this bbq is for you. I've had bbq all over the US and this is the smokiest I've ever had and I wasn't a fan. The rest of the day, even after brushing my teeth, I felt like I had been licking the bbq grill directly. I'd like to go back and try something different. They have brunch on the first Saturday of each month and I'd like to try that.

Best ribs I ever had in a restaurant. No sauce required for them. Will definitely come back again for them.

    Fish tacos

Fish Tacos , Pulled pork sandwiches, catfish fillets were so very tasty! Atmosphere was great with good conversation. The owner, Lee Standish very helpfu.

What a great place!! I ended up heading in for brunch a couple weeks ago and was very pleasantly surprised at what we got :) The brunch menu is very small (I was able to get a BLT) but did see a couple walk out after looking it over. Brunch is new to this place so hoping they get the hang of it ... the Bloody Mary bar was AMAZING!!! We'll be back again :)

Leave your designer jeans at home, put on your sh*t-kickers and mosey on down to this BBQ joint as genuine as anything I've had outside of Texas. I admit to skepticism that Hoosiers could deliver on the "Tex-Mex" aspect, but this establishment is legit and well worth the drive. We had the street tacos, with brisket and pulled pork. The corn tortillas were on point, and the cilantro-onion topping was authentic. Could have done without the shredded cheddar, but it was a nice complement to the meat. The meat is really the star here. Can't wait to come back for proper BBQ. The brisket had layer upon layer of flavor, if a little too dry, and the pork was deliciously smokey. The dish was served with a salsa that was intriguing and clearly home-made. The tomatoes were fire-roasted and it had a great kick. It was a little too sweet for my taste, but it worked with the pulled pork tacos. The beer list has some strong offerings with a wide range from mass produced to local and regional microbrews. They have a few on tap, a longer list of bottles, and specials to keep things interesting. We had a tasty and complex bourbon barrel ale from Boulevard that went really well with the brisket.

Got the brisket dinner. Top 3 ever. Great staff/service as well. The rest of the family got catfish and a burger, they appeared satisfied.

Loved the street tacos. Chili was spicy but delicious. Beer was ice cold. Decor was fitting for a tex mex joint.

Once you walk in, you walk up to a counter place your order and they will call out your name on the order is ready for pick up. There is also a fully self service station for sauces as well as Takeaway boxes if you need them. The menu offers a lot of different combinations and samplers and meats from pork to chicken. The sides are also a little bit unique in the sense that the vegetable sides also have added bacon, which is great to see. I personally love to see hush puppies, which is a very antiquated and rare to find option for food. And they did not disappoint. Overall, I would say from the sampler of the ribs and the chicken were fantastic as well as the pulled pork. The brisket was OK, but did not necessarily stand out. We did try four different barbecue sauces, which were all fantastic. The hush puppies as I stated earlier were absolutely delicious and I would come back just for these. We also got the corn pudding, which was a little bit on the sweeter side, but made and baked fresh just like everything else here. And this was a great alternative to cornbread. To top it all off, the staff here was so super nice, especially the young man at the counter when you first walked in as he also offered up a sample of the corn pudding because I've never heard of corn pudding nor did I ever tried it and this was also my first visit. I would definitely come back here again, and/or visit any of their other locations closer to Indy.

OMG we were totally blown away by how tender the brisket was. 19 hours under smoke. It was unbelievable and they give you nice portion for the sandwich. The fries are extra but man are they good. They know how to get crisp outside and almost creamy inside. I saw they had a pork belly burnt ends as a special so I had to order. The staff are super friendly and helpful. They have 4 or 5 sauces that you serve yourself. I mixed a couple. They have seating outside which is really nice. The bathrooms were super clean which was important for m wife.

Seating is also tight but there is room in the back and tables outside. Order at the counter and wait for your number to be called for your meal. You can also see the pit with the meat cooking. There are plenty of options though there is no true 2 meat plate. That's ok because I made it work. I went with the spare ribs meal and then took the Chuck Norris home to my wife. The ribs were tasty but they gave my jaw a workout, which I do not like. The Chuck Norris though was an impressive sandwich. It came on Texas Toast with pulled pork, brisket, fried egg, bacon, onion, and Pimento cheese. The brisket or pulled pork would be what I would go to next time. For my sides, I had beans, potato salad, and Mac and cheese. All were phenomenal but potato salad was the best! It was a mustard base whipped style. The beans were the pinto beans/ranch style with tomatoes and a vinegar taste. The mac and cheese was creamy with goldfish on top. There are 4 sauces and all were phenomenal. I wish I could take all of them home!. You have the tomato bases in a mild, zesty flavor and a spicy, habanero flavor. There is also Carolina Mustard and Bama white. I think I loved the mild the most. There is fresh-brewed sweet tea which is hard to come by in Indiana but this Bama Boy would love it to be more sweeter. It was a step above water. The Chuck Norris, sauces, and sides make Rusty Silo easily a 4-star. If the spare ribs were easier to chew, a 5-star from this guy would have been given.
