A hidden gem! I hadn't heard of this place until some fellow foodie friends recommended it to me. It's in West Point, just a short and pretty drive from West Lafayette. Before living here in West Lafayette, I lived in Texas and, walking into Eddie Joe's, I felt like I was walking back into Texas! Loved the vibe this place gave! The menu has a good mix of bbq and tex mex. I couldn't decide between tex mex and bbq so I ordered the brisket tacos. The food was good. Not my favorite, but good. My issue was the brisket was SO smokey. If you love a smokey flavor, this bbq is for you. I've had bbq all over the US and this is the smokiest I've ever had and I wasn't a fan. The rest of the day, even after brushing my teeth, I felt like I had been licking the bbq grill directly. I'd like to go back and try something different. They have brunch on the first Saturday of each month and I'd like to try that.

Best ribs I ever had in a restaurant. No sauce required for them. Will definitely come back again for them.

    Fish tacos

Fish Tacos , Pulled pork sandwiches, catfish fillets were so very tasty! Atmosphere was great with good conversation. The owner, Lee Standish very helpfu.

What a great place!! I ended up heading in for brunch a couple weeks ago and was very pleasantly surprised at what we got :) The brunch menu is very small (I was able to get a BLT) but did see a couple walk out after looking it over. Brunch is new to this place so hoping they get the hang of it ... the Bloody Mary bar was AMAZING!!! We'll be back again :)

Leave your designer jeans at home, put on your sh*t-kickers and mosey on down to this BBQ joint as genuine as anything I've had outside of Texas. I admit to skepticism that Hoosiers could deliver on the "Tex-Mex" aspect, but this establishment is legit and well worth the drive. We had the street tacos, with brisket and pulled pork. The corn tortillas were on point, and the cilantro-onion topping was authentic. Could have done without the shredded cheddar, but it was a nice complement to the meat. The meat is really the star here. Can't wait to come back for proper BBQ. The brisket had layer upon layer of flavor, if a little too dry, and the pork was deliciously smokey. The dish was served with a salsa that was intriguing and clearly home-made. The tomatoes were fire-roasted and it had a great kick. It was a little too sweet for my taste, but it worked with the pulled pork tacos. The beer list has some strong offerings with a wide range from mass produced to local and regional microbrews. They have a few on tap, a longer list of bottles, and specials to keep things interesting. We had a tasty and complex bourbon barrel ale from Boulevard that went really well with the brisket.

Got the brisket dinner. Top 3 ever. Great staff/service as well. The rest of the family got catfish and a burger, they appeared satisfied.

Loved the street tacos. Chili was spicy but delicious. Beer was ice cold. Decor was fitting for a tex mex joint.

The interior of the pub was actually much nicer than I expected but still had the homey neighborhood bar feel. Next up the food: Amazing! I chose the boneless wings which had a terrific breading that I've only encountered at a few other restaurants. Definitely an A++. I went with the "Pub Sauce" which was equally excellent. Finally, you top it all off with $5 cocktails!? I wish this place was closer to me, but I will definitely be taking another detour here in the future.

My guests got their food and the server informed me they were ready-making my tenderloin because it was burnt. Second tenderloin came out. Tenderloins are supposed to be pounded thin. This was about 1/2" thick. Most of the breading had fallen off and meat was pink in the middle. I informed our server I was not satisfied. She was very understanding and said she would take it off our bill. She asked if I wanted something else so I ordered a cheeseburger. After about 25 minutes, still no cheeseburger. I finally asked for the check without eating. I have absolutely no complaint with our server. She was friendly and helpful throughout the entire experience. She explained that there was a new cook in the kitchen which I understand but they probably need to have better training or better supervision of what comes out of the kitchen. Sorry to say, we will not be going back.

We drove out here to get a tenderloin sandwich, and we were not disappointed…read more The sandwich was big enough for two meals for two people. And just because it was huge, doesn't mean it was lacking anything else. It has great flavor and even after having to drive back to our trailer to eat, it held its crunch. (More about that later). The price also could not be beat. The only down side is that even though they have an outside patio, it is not accessible other than through the bar. As such we had to take the sandwich with us as we had our dog, and it was not allowed in the outside area - again because it went though the tavern, which I understand as they do serve food.

This tavern is run down but it has character. The food they're known for are the pork tenderloin and the pretzel. The pork tenderloin is massive! Three of us shared one. It was cooked to perfection. The batter had a perfect crunch. The meat was moist. The pretzel was huge! It had plenty of salt ànd butter. It was so good. Ita huge too! They offer cheese and honey mustard dipping sauces for it. Definitely tasty. I highly recommend this place of you're looking for a pork tenderloin! Beer was good and fairly cheap. I definitely would return! Don't expect fast service. It's a mom and pop running the place.
