Vegetable skillet. Served w/ choice of potato/egg. Substituted a pancake for toast at no charge. Delicious and a great deal.

Small and cozy. It was a cold morning outside and we sat by the gas fireplace which was nice. Service was good and staff was very friendly. Menu is small but a good variety. We all ordered breakfast. Food was good. The pancakes and the hashbrowns were exceptionally good. Another reviewer mentioned that the bathroom needed updated so I just wanted to add that I didn't see anything wrong with it and it was very clean.

Breaded Pork Tenderloin BPT

Let's me just say, im home for memorial day and live in Colorado and was looking forward to a good ole fashion Breaded Pork Tenderloin, BPT, of which I am a connoisseur. I was looking forward to trying lilys after reading about it. The BPT here is top notch. 5 stars. Fresh made, great toasted bun, dinner plate size and a little thicker than regular snitzel. Very solid and recommend. The servers were friendly, new the regulars and were fast. The only downfall is that this is a hole in the wall and small and the secret is out, so there might be a wait, but its worth it

Corned beef skillet

The essential American diner, friendly, stark, easy location, awkward old office building turned food space, serving a well thought out variety and value. But we about had a heart attack when the insane grating noise ruined the country charm, knife sharpener? Never did find out what cut through the air like twenty cats prancing on a chalkboard, the kitchen definitely needs to do their ironmongery without the guests present! Also some cliche music would do wonders besides the loud fans playing one note. Our food did show up and what a feast, skillets for us three, seemed all right because all disappeared quickly. Pancakes and french toast were thick and browned. My corned beef pile lacked full Irish chef skills like Town and Gown's similar breakfast dish but went down well. Can highly recommend for this side of town when my favorite spots Town and Gown, Christos, and Sacred Grounds are closed!

Taco Salad

absolutely love so many things from Lily's diner, from the cinnamon waffle, to the tenderloin and taco salads. The diner itself is very cute and quant, the owners always go out of their way to assure you are completely satisfied, the waitresses are all very friendly and attentive. Their prices are beyond fair and now they offer drive thru. If you haven't yet tried them, YOU TOTALLY SHOULD! 10/10

Great new place I happened upon on my way home to Chicago. If only it was in my neighborhood. Fresh, delicious, nice decor and clean Also, the portions are large! Thanks to Robert, Gaby and el jefe for attentive service. Highly Recommended

This was my nephews cheese burger. I tried to not discourage him. He managed to actually take more than one bite.

I ordered a bacon cheeseburger. When it came to the table it had no bacon. Staff was friendly and offered to fix. I declined since the cheeseburger was already there. I took one bite and I could instantly tell it was frozen patty. It was thin dry and grey. The fries tasted as if they were fried in the same grease as everything else. It reminded me of school cafe food. We also had a quesadilla, which was just a vessel of grease. We got to go containers, simply not to hurt their feelings. Staff was great.

Grilled Chicken Salad

We saw a Facebook post that it was a new place and decided to try it. Word is still getting out so it was kind of slow. We arrived a little after 11am and decided on lunch although breakfast is served all day. I appreciate that the diner was impeccably clean. It has a nice rustic feel but seemed almost too quiet until we got our food. The waitress Marisa, I think, was attentive and friendly. My Chicken Cordon Bleu was excellent! The fries were good as well. The other meal at our table was the Grilled Chicken Salad. It was a very nice chef salad with grilled chicken. Both dishes were presented very well and the size of the dishes makes them a good value. We are planning on a return visit to try breakfast next! It is worth a visit!

The pork tenderloin sandwich my husband ordered was amazing! I had the BLT with CRISP bacon and got exactly that. Great little diner.

Amazing duo menu of awesome Tex Mex as well as All American Favorites as well: tacos,…read moreburgers, burritos, tenderloins, chimichangas, fish and chips, 10 beers on tap, fill bar, tons of tvs with sports/movies/trivia, and, a great personable staff. Darts, Touch Tunes jukebox box, daily specials, $2 tacos in house after 9pm, and, board games galore. Great place, independently owned, and, some of the best food in Lafayette. But I wandered into Sixth Street Dive and--don't tell Bloomington--they actually won me over. The burgers are the size of a freshman textbook and taste a whole lot better. Wings? Spicy enough to make me forget I was surrounded by black and gold. And the beer is so cold I almost forgave the guy at the bar for wearing a Purdue hoodie (almost). The vibe is pure dive-bar magic: pool tables, live music, no pretension. Nobody cares if you're a Hoosier, a Boiler, or just a random traveler who took the wrong exit off I-65. By the end of the night, I was laughing, full, and--dare I say it--having a great time in Lafayette. Sixth Street Dive: proof that even behind enemy lines, a Hoosier can still find happiness... as long as the beer's this cold.

It's been five and a half years since my last review, so I thought that an update is in order,…read moreparticularly since a few irritating things on recent visits cause me to lower the rating. The quality of the food remains high. The Americana burger that I spoke of in my previous review seems not to be on the menu any more, but several other burgers are, and they are quite good. My current favorite item, however, is the pork chop, which is huge (I get three meals out of it) and delicious. My wife continues to get her go-to item, the lobster mac and cheese, and speaks highly of it every time. (Not surprisingly, though, it has gone up in price since my previous review; it now costs $24.70 instead of $19. The pork chop is the same price.) The one menu item I tend to avoid is the french fries, which aren't as good as you would think they would be in a place like this. Now, about those irritating things. About a month ago my wife and I stopped by here in the late afternoon, about a quarter to five, and she of course ordered the lobster mac. The price on the lunch menu was the same as on the dinner menu, and so was (I think) the portion size, but at lunch you don't get a complimentary salad with your meal. Since we were about fifteen minutes away from the dinner-menu turnover (or so we were told; there was nothing in writing to alert the customer to this), you would have thought the restaurant would, in the name of good customer relations, have thrown in the stupid salad, but no, rules are rules. Then yesterday my wife and I ordered takeout. I placed the order on Red 7's website at around 2:30 PM. At this time, of course, the only menu showing online was the lunch menu. But when I indicated that I would like a 4:30 PM pickup, a dinner menu appeared. Not unreasonably, I took this as a sign that they were now offering the dinner menu at 4:30. I ordered my pork chop and my wife's lobster mac from the dinner menu, and the restaurant accepted my order and sent me a confirmation email. Then, about 4:15 PM, after my wife and I were already on the road to pick up the food (we live in West Lafayette, the restaurant is in Lafayette, about a 20 minute drive away), I got a phone call from the restaurant saying that the pork chop was only available at dinner and would not be ready until "around 5". So we had to turn around, drive home, and then leave again about 20 minutes later. I have no idea why Red 7 couldn't state explicitly when the dinner menu took effect, why they made the menu available and accepted my order when I placed it if it would not be in effect at the time of pickup, and why the restaurant felt the need to wait until fifteen minutes before I was supposed to pick up the food before telling me it wasn't going to be ready. Forwarned is forearmed, I suppose, and from now on, despite what the computer says, I won't be ordering dinner for any time earlier than 5 PM. But these annoying things are precisely the kind of thing that can detract from an otherwise good meal and leave the customer with a (no pun intended) bad taste in his mouth.

This is still one of my favorite places in Lafayette! I love their patio, portion sizes and food!…read moreRecently I ordered the almond & Parmesan crusted chicken and it was amazing! For $18 I was able to eat 3 meals because the portion was very nice. I would suggest subbing the spinach for the brussel sprouts. The patio is always love to sit on with ample seating and the service has been good on each visit.
