    Farfalle pasta with almond chicken
    Stephanie L.

Got a last minute reservation here on Graduation Day! We were about 10 minutes late but the restaurant was able to accommodate. Cute spot! A little confused by the "math" theme but I guess it is near an engineering school! I was torn between the peach salad and the farfalle pasta. I'm SO glad I chose the pasta. It was INCREDIBLE! I had it for lunch, brought home the leftovers, and had it for dinner that same day. The almond chicken was well breaded and the cream sauce had a lot of flavor. Highly recommend!

Came here for late lunch after a graduation at Purdue. The place is very cute and I really like the design of this restaurant. Service was very good and the food was amazing. Would comeback!

So nummy delish! Fun restaurant, our server Logan was super awesome! My fav Logan experience was when we asked about his tattoo that spans his whole forearm of a phrase in mandarin-he explained it, then began to say it, then looked at me and stopped himself. lolz. for all the Purduers, make ur parents take u here when ur in town fo sho. Also, the deconstructed key lime pie was not great. Kinda just a cup of cream, but I appreciate the effort

Kids slider that was half a burnt part of meat on one with toppings and the other without anything. Both burnt.

Food and service was awful! We were sat and had to finally go up to ask for a server to come to greet our table with drinks. Food was burnt, incessant and lacked any flavor. Kids meal was burnt to the point of not eatable.

We came for a weekday lunch because they have a very nice patio area that is dog friendly. I had the fish tacos with fries and they weren't the best I've ever had but they were decent. Service was friendly but a little on the slow side which is understandable in this era of labor shortages. If I had been on a lunch break and needed to return to work, I would have been checking my watch. There were 4 dogs, including mine, on the patio and the hostess spread us out. Though, frankly, the dogs probably would have preferred to be together.

for a saturday night with no reservation we waited a little over an hour to be seated, which was fair. the service was awesome, david was the best. i had the boursin steak and it was so good i really enjoyed the flavor combinations in the meal. the side salad and rolls were also so good and felt like a free appetizer. i love the looking the restaurant, they had options for vegetarians too! i think that if in WL you should check this place out for a step up in dining

Great food and professional service. The walleye was light, flavorful, and looked awesome. It was a perfect evening to enjoy dinner in the outside dining area.

Excellent food and service! Steaks, appetizers and crusted chicken wonderful. Highly recommended.

We were celebrating our anniversary so it was a special night for us. Our waitress was super but stretched thin so she wasn't as attentive as she probably was on another night. This is a very upscale place. Decor and service reflect that. Good old fashioned steakhouse vibe. Oysters Rockafeller were perfect. Bread was fresh and absolutely delicious. He had American Wagyu Ribeye. I had Steak Oscar. Both were cooked appropriately. Maybe slightly under seasoned as we both added salt which is not typical for us. The Old Fashioned was really good and they had a wide selection of wine/beer and a handful of specialty cocktails. Our 2nd round of drinks was comped due to slow service at the bar and dessert was on the house for our anniversary which we really appreciated. We will definitely go back and try other things on the menu. Our steaks were good but I wouldn't say they were worth the price. $110 for his and $80ish for my Oscar. It was a filet with truffled hollandaise sauce and a scant amount of King Crab. They no longer serve King Crab due to the cost. Strange. If we would pay $110 for a steak why wouldn't we pay for King Crab due but that was a minor detail. I wouldn't say have preferred more crab...give me snow crab. The dessert was delightful. Baked Alaska served table side with plenty of rum. Thank you for making us feel valued and special!

Last time I got the lobster bisque and it may have been the best I've ever had. I ordered it again and it was terrible. Just terrible. Tasted kind of bitter and was much too dark for a lobster bisque. The side dishes are enormous and they were all ok. The charred broccoli is an entire stalk thrown on a grill. Char on outside, raw on inside. Lovely. My American Wagyu bone-in strip was good, though it tasted no different than prime meat and did cost $95. I would have hoped for better than just 'good'. Family enjoyed most items. I sampled the wedge and really liked that. Probably best part of the meal. Oysters were excellent. Drinks are always good here. They have upgraded their rum list and have some high quality ones now. That's great! Service is always top notch. I will definitely be back for happy hours. The food at this restaurant is good. But when 2 adults and 3 kids drop $800 on a meal, it really ought to be fantastic, not just good.

The service at Bistro 501 is impeccable and highly attentive, contributing significantly to its stellar reputation. We experienced no wait, and parking was refreshingly easy, a definite plus for any busy evening. It's important to note that this establishment caters to an adult audience, as it does not offer accommodations like highchairs, nor does it typically host young children. So imagine my (pleasant) surprise that there was but one Triple XXX restaurant that remained open, carrying the torch (as it were) for that great root beer! So on a nice and humid Saturday, me, hubby, and our little Puppy hopped in the car for a 2+ hr drive to West Lafayette IN for lunch! Of course - we got there - an old-style-diner-like building perched on a hill close to Perdue University in West Lafayette! We were seated in the outdoor "full service" tented section of the restaurant (covered) and perused the menu. After ordering the obligatory Triple XXX root beer (but of course - which came with free refills) we turned to the menu! Hubby ordered the Barney Burger - a 1/4 lb chop steak burger with cheese and grilled onions - as fyi, no burger comes with condiments- you get to "dress your own the way you like it" with condi's on the table. I ordered the Bernie Flowers All-Pro - a 1/4 lb chop steak with lettuce, tomato, onion (which I held) and Miracle Whip (yes!) on a toasty sesame bun. We both got curly fries (which were yummy, btw). Ok- first thoughts- the burgers - while fresh- were a bit dry. Hmm. The lettuce on my Bernie was a nice, crisp, and cold leaf. Yes! The tomato was freshly sliced and - honestly- looked like one I'd cut at home. Sweet! So why the 4 stars - I mentioned the meat was dry? Oh my. Yes, that's the sole demerit. But props to the fries and the awesome Root Beer! We enjoyed it - and just in the nick of time. No sooner did we finish up than a severe thunderstorm rolled into town! So we skedaddled to the car, hopped in, and drove thru drenching rain, super strong winds, some light hail - until we got outta Indiana on our way back to Illinois. Would we come again? Of course! Gotta support places like this-they're an important part of Americana! Check it out yourself and enjoy- as we did!

This time I got a burger and root beer. This isn't fancy food, this is country cooking at it's finest. The root beer is amazing. I should have asked about a root beer float, next time. You walk it and sit where ever you can. It it a long counter that wraps around and the wait staff walk inside it. The fries are yummy, and the burger was perfect for what I needed a solid meal since I hadn't eaten in almost 9 hours. Yep sounds like a personal problem. But hey at least the food here has been perfect both times. Maybe next time I will buy a shirt or at least some root beers to go with me. My burger was a true knife and fork meal. At least I am too old to be wearing my chili all over my beard and shirt. Highly recommend if in the area and it is only 5 miles off the interstate. Drive in and enjoy a yummy meal.
