Stopped in for a quick beer before heading out to dinner. There's a nice bar as you walk into the restaurant. Since the pub wasn't open we met friends at Piedmonts. This restaurant is located next to the golf shop and NOT inside the hotel. We did self serve by walking up to the bar for our drinks. A server later came to check on us but we had already gotten our drinks. Drinks are pricey: Stella beer and glass of wine topped over $25. read more

The decor is outdated but some of the dishes I've had here are some of the best I've EVER had, which was completely unexpected. I would highly recommend the Chilean sea bass with the lobster mashed potatoes and the braised short rib with mashed potatoes, Swiss chard and pancetta. The mushroom risotto was one of the most decadent things I've had in a minute... absolutely delicious. And the sticky toffee pudding with vanilla gelato, I mean chef's kiss. Side note: I did have the filet mignon once and felt it was a miss. The cut was a bit too thick so many bites lacked flavor and the sauce that was on it was a bit too salty. This food was so good!!! I'm just mad I'm just now trying it. The staff was great and treated me and my family well. We stayed at the resort so it was easy to walk down and be seated. We received fast, friendly, and punctual service. It was honestly the perfect evening. We sat outside and watched the sunset. I will definitely be back soon because I keep thinking about that magnificent steak and potatoes I had. We were very satisfied and have no complaints. The crab dip was amazing as well. There's only one more restaurant in the vicinity. They're giant, so no need for reservation. 2. Service - slow Like I said above they don't have much of a competition and customers don't really have other options, so competing with the stellar service is not their thing. Not saying it's bad, just slow and not the best. But pleasant. 3. Food - decent They're good, just won't knock you off your socks or anything. Burger is pleasant, Fries could've been better considering the price. Sea bass was good, risotto it comes with was very good. Calamari- not the best. Old fashioned: not good, they make it like in cheap bar. 4. Ambience - business like They have this giant tables and chairs and feel more like Diogenes club from olden days including the color scheme. It's a great place to hold corporate events with hundreds and thousands of people. Outside is a nice balcony with great view to enjoy after dinner. I was really hesitant about trying this place because most of the reviews recently have been beyond awful but due to time limit and wanting to enjoy the weather outside we decided to stick with our original plan and give it a shot. Man am I glad we did! The restaurant has inside and outside dining. Dining outside overlooked the golf course surrounded by bushes of bulbed flowers. Service was pretty quick. We tried the calamari and the batter itself was seasoned which made it even more appetizing. I also had the burger and it was cooked to my liking and very moist. The fries that come with it is sooooo crispy and so good! I was a little disappointed in the apple crostada. Flavor wise it was on point but dish wise I don't think it represented a crostata. There was absolutely no open pie format about it. I was looking for some good ole crust! I enjoyed my time here and I hope folks will give this place a chance. read more

I did an overnight trip at Lansdowne Resort for a friend's birthday and we hit up the restaurant on the property, Piedmont's. We weren't aware that you had to go outside to get to the restaurant so we sprinted in our cute dresses down the pathway to the restaurant haha! The service was super slow to start. We had to get up to ask someone who our server was. I think they were switching shifts or people were packing up to go home. Our reservation was at 9pm. Once everything got settled our server was pretty cool. We had a lot of questions about the menu and he was very patient with us. We got the calamari appetizer and it was pretty good. Nothing exceptional. I got the salmon and subbed mashed potatoes for the corn avocado potato salad. It was delicious! The potato salad was more like a veggie medley so we got a side of it and it was also really good. Everyone else seemed to like their salmon, steak and shrimp/scallop pasta meals. I would recommend this restaurant if you are not looking to leave the resort. It's a really good option! read more

This place is pretty bad. Views were beautiful on the outside deck, but that's about it. Whatever you do, do not get the pretzel/"charcuterie" board. The meat was really disgusting - quite literally looked like round slices of bologna from the grocery store. Plus like 30 olives? Mixed with strawberries?? It actually was so gross we didn't even want to order dinner anymore and just enjoyed our bottle of wine and the views. A nice view and convenience to the resort are really the only positives. Our food was terrible. The Ahi tuna tasted old and previously frozen. The "Bavarian" was an odd mix of old meats and cheese, crushed nuts and what seemed like a whole jar of kalamata olives. We had our holiday dinner with a large group at this restaurant. 3 of us ordered the Lobster Ravioli and got extremely sick the next day. I called the restaurant and resort for 3 days straight, left a voicemail and no one got back. It even routed me to someone's direct cell phone and she was confused how I got the number, even though that's where it routed me to. After trying again for the 4th day, the manager Jeff got back to me. He apologized but that was it. He said he was going to follow up but never called back. Disappointed with the response. A Saturday night in September led us to be the only ones at Landsdowne's flagship restaurant for a 6:30 reservation. The waiter was more than pleasant and even recognized it was our anniversary and gave us a glass of champagne to start. As for the food, we ordered the chicken and the steak and crab dish. To start we had the scallops and they were delicious. The entrees were good, nothing terribly special for the price that you are paying. I would recommend the restaurant but make sure to know what you want before you go rather than winging it. Unless there is something on th menu you are really looking forward to I would say it's a bit pricey read more

My husband called weeks in advance due to it being our 37th wedding anniversary. So many details about this failed stay at Landstown but basically regarding Piedmont, he was told over the phone that it was a nice restaurant and he had to wear a colored shirt and I had to dress business casual. What a farce. We were surrounded by intoxicated golfers, no one was dressed nicely and the menu was pathetic. People were in shorts and sweatshirts. With in 20 minutes of taking a few bites of my meal I was in the bathroom with gastric distress. It was horrible and nothing close to what we were lead to believe over the phone. We were watching the TV and the bartender just arbitrarily changed the channel without asking or caring even though there were probably a half dozen other tv's. read more

Came here for dinner on a Saturday night, couldn't even get them to pick up the phone. Had to get a hold of front desk at the resort to make a reservation. I got the miso glazed sea bass and my friend got the steak. We all Thought the food was okay, below average on the salty side. For drinks I got a glass of wine and my Friends got Jameson. The drinks were good and generous pours. The service was good, our waiter Bryan was nice, attentive to our needs and helpful. I probably will not return here, I'd rather spend my money on better food somewhere else. It is nice that there is a nicer restaurant on the property but I think if they make some changes, this could flourish. read more

The desserts tasted like they were store bought. Not very good. They served a cupcake with pink cream that tasted like it came from Walmart. Not edible. For the price per plate, they could've done better. Torn between giving a 2 or 3. I've visited this resort since 2008 and I've noticed a decline on their food quality. The pub is just a bar end of the main restaurant, which was classy without being pretentious. The hostess was friendly and had no problem that we just wanted to nibble and sip rather than have full entrees and gave us the coveted table by the fireplace. A few other diners but it's off-season. Our waitress, Beverly, was excellent, perfectly fine we we had really already eaten. Calamari was good, and the crabcake and salad were excellent. Great wine recommendations. Manager friendly and came out to check on everyone. We preferred the chocolate cake to the galette. We lingered a bit but there was no effort to rush us out by bussing the table and harassing us like I've had elsewhere. read more

DO NOT waste your money or time at this restaurant!!! I went to this restaurant with my friend and we had the worst service! We ordered drinks, the ahi tuna and seafood pot. The drinks didn't come until after our dinner had arrived and it took a while for our dinner to arrive! The ahi tuna was good but that was the ONLY thing that was good. The seafood pot was SO spicy it was almost inedible. There were maybe 5 pieces of seafood in it and was definitely not $29 worth! The server was one of the worst ones I've ever had. She was not attentive and when my friend informed her the drink she had was not good, she didn't take it back and still tried to charge us for the drink. We should have left when we noticed there were not that many people at the restaurant but I figured it's at this nice resort.... read more

There were 5 weddings here the night we stayed at the hotel and ate at the restaurant. Because of this it caused them to be short staffed and loud party music that rocked the entire dining area during the whole time during dinner. The food itself was below subpar. They allowed smoking on the patio which came over to the non smoking area and forced us inside. They had no local wine, we had the seafood linguine that tasted way too fishy, the mushroom risotto had more mushrooms than actual risotto, the chicken dish was dry, and there was no toilet paper in the women's restroom. Not what you should expect or deserve for the price from a place that is a resort with an upper scale dress code. Avoid this place! read more
