    Happy Hour Menu

I went for happy hour! It was such a fun place. The storefront is now a gelato place, and then you get to walk through the telephone booth. It's dimly lit and a mix of casual + dress wear. They host a great food happy hour! We tried a little bit of everything - tacos, nachos, flat breads, and French dip! I really enjoyed the French dip, I haven't had one in ages! The flatbreads were good, I liked the margarita one the best. The nachos were definitely quality over quality. I was pleasantly surprised by them. One thing I think they're missing is - fries! But all the prices were great. We also had some beers, and wines - nothing too spectacular, I was disappointed that they didn't have any cocktails apart of it.

Excited to check out this unique speak-easy, was a lot of fun. You enter a "store front", sneak through the phone booth and enter a time of speak easies and good time bars. Several different rooms, small and cozy, nicely decorated. The cocktails are incredibly imaginative and well prepared by Andre. Very knowledgeable and friendly, can guide you thru the menu. Flatbreads were great, mahi tacos were so-so. Great prices during Happy Hour, will return soon.

This is a nice speakeasy located in a cute downtown area! The area itself looks instagramable, reminds me of Halloween town or something similar. The entrance is set up as if its a convenient store but when you enter the photobooth, all of the magic appears. Though the space appears small, it actually has ample seating. Considering it is a speakeasy, you won't expect it to be packed to capacity anyway. The bartenders were very nice and helpful considering my friend and I were visiting. They provided great recommendations of things to do and places to visit as well as great customer service. We got there just in time for the last hour of the happy hour and lets just say the drinks made me happy! Lol They also have a great food menu with things from birria tacos to burgers. I ordered the birria plate which came with two tacos and consome. I love a good birria and this was not what I expected. The taco itself was good but the consome could use more seasoning. Overall, Im glad my friend found this place and would recommend to anyone in the area.

Tarbender's Lounge is a fun speakeasy with a lot to offer. The entrance being a phone booth is a perfect way to accent the fun environment inside. It is a busy place, so I recommend a reservation, though their reservation process on their website could use an upgrade. We arrived to find they had our reservation, but had overlooked it, so we had to wait for them to rearrange some tables. I will say after that, I felt the staff tried to make up for the rough start. Everyone we met was friendly and one of our servers showed me the Tiki room and discussed the history of the business. They also have a karaoke lounge in the front by the entrance. The drinks are great. The menu appears slightly limited, so don't be afraid to order off menu, based on your preferences. We tried several old fashioned. The chili dog is really good...better than I expected. The lobstah mac and cheese really has lobster in it. The prime rib was also delicious.

First timer. Have to admit, the Halloween decor made this place so awesome. I adore the fact that once you walk through the telephone booth you're inside what feels like a dirty little secret - except it's not dirty. Well, unless you're ordering a dirty martini off the cocktail menu and let me tell you, those are exceptionally filthy. 50% classy, until you reach the bottom half of the glass, then you realize just how drunk they get you. No half measures in this place! Service was a little slow, granted it was a Friday night past 10pm, but the staff were very pleasant. Worth getting a drink in here just for the ambiance alone.

Not really a speakeasy and very little variety of food but they did have pretty good drinks!

It's truly one of our favorites and never disappoints. The food was absolutely incredible (as expected). We also want to give a special shoutout to our waiter, who was in training he did an amazing job! He was attentive, friendly, and made our experience feel seamless. We love this place so much and will definitely keep coming back every chance we get!

If a place executes its vision at a high level and exceeds expectations for its lane, that is a 5 star experience to me. And this meal absolutely did that. We relocated to Northern Virginia a couple of years ago, so we have been exploring the dining scene here with fresh eyes. Since moving, we have visited The Wine Kitchen several times, and each visit has been consistently impressive. They are truly a gem in Leesburg. We went with the pasta tasting menu and it was an outstanding, technique driven progression that really showcased the kitchen's command of fresh pasta and sauce work. The pasta itself was the foundation of the experience, clearly house made, with impeccable texture across every course. Each shape was cooked to a true al dente, with that ideal balance of tenderness and bite that only comes from properly handled fresh dough. Nothing felt heavy or muddled, which is no small feat in a multi course pasta progression. The mushroom tortellini in brodo was beautifully restrained. The broth had deep umami from the mushroom parmesan base, yet remained clean and structured, allowing the delicate tortellini filling and chestnut mushrooms to shine. The truffled Alfredo could have easily gone overboard, but the richness was controlled, silky, properly emulsified, and well seasoned, with the truffle supporting rather than overwhelming the dish. The lobster ravioli was another technically strong plate. The pasta was thin and tender, the filling sweet and delicate, and the crab fat sauce added depth while the ginger Calabrian soffritto brought a subtle lift of heat and brightness that kept the dish from feeling too rich. The short rib rotolo delivered deep, slow cooked savoriness, balanced nicely by the ricotta and the earthy luxury of the truffle fonduta. What really made the dish stand out for me were the crispy edges on the pasta, which added a beautiful textural contrast to the tender filling. For dessert, we enjoyed the tasting menu dessert and also added the cornflake French toast. The French toast completely wowed us. Texturally, it was outstanding, crisp exterior, custardy interior, and that nostalgic cornflake crunch elevated into something refined. It had richness, sweetness, and contrast in all the right ways, and ended up being my favorite of the two desserts. Overall, this is how you do a pasta focused tasting menu with finesse, strong technique, thoughtful balance, and flavors that feel indulgent without becoming heavy. In its category, this was a 5 star experience for me, and I would absolutely come back.
