Was craving burger and ordered takeout from a nearby place. 4/5 Fries - good salted and crispy. 3/5 Santa Barbara burger - This was a surprisingly big burger than all other places. However the 1000 island dressing that comes with it was minimal which made this burger more so on the dry side. If you decide to get this in person then definitely add more dressings. Overall a 3.5/5 but I'll err on 3 with this one. Definitely give it a try and get more dressing. read more

Picked up an order to go. The staff were friendly and my food was ready at the time I was told it would be. The burger was nicely seasoned and tasted delicious. It was a big burger! I had to eat the other half the next day. The fries and onion rings are enough to share. I did prefer the onion rings over the fries. The fries were soggy. I did not like the Oreo shake. Before the comments and suggestions related to our experience today, I want to say that the staff at Eddie's is always welcoming, responsive, and polite. The quality of the food is also way better than any fast food offering in Lompoc. After placing our order, we got something to drink and we sat down My wife ordered a sandwich, and she requested two condiments on the side. Her sandwich came out first. The server set it down and said the other items would be out in a minute. My wife noticed the condiments she requested weren't with the sandwich, but our server left quickly as a few other customers had come in. We waited a few more minutes for the other sandwich. My wife was not happy about her sandwich cooling down When the server finally returned to deliver my burger, we asked for the condiments as well as one or two lemon wedges. My wife sampled the sweet potato fries - they were just a little warm. She returned with the wrong condiments. And limes. I asked if we could get some hot (fresher?) sweet potato fries. The response was positive, so I was willing to wait, but my wife was not. Her sandwich was no longer of a desirable temperature, no thousand island for her not hot sandwich, and now we were faced with an additional several minutes wait for better-than-warm fries. Maybe the timing in the kitchen was off. Getting two sandwiches made in synch with an order of fries could be trickier than most of us think, but most restaurants have been doing it well for years. Execution matters. I ordered my sandwich with extra onions and add jalapeños. I saw the fresh green jalapeños on my sandwich (many!). Nice. My wife now wanted to take it all home where she knew she could make and have 1000 island sauce and also reheat her sandwich. (she likes her food to be very warm, and most people do) We got home and made ourselves happy. After a couple of bites into my sandwich, I noticed: no onions. None at all. When I repeated my order before paying, I know she acknowledged my words. We're not abandoning Eddie's. They have good quality food. Suggestions: 1) Pay close attention to what people are saying and repeat specific requests back to the customer. (and then deliver) 2) Timing matters...synch up the prep for each order. It's okay if one sandwich has to wait a minute or two in a warning area/tray.. Customers who are seated in your dining area (with the intent of eating there) prefer the meal be delivered in one shot (or less that a minute for the full order for two people.) While I will sometimes bring my own BBQ sauce to an establishment (as I really like the sauce I make), I'm not up for bringing an air fryer and an extension cord. We hope things go better next visit. read more

We were visiting the area and was looking for something more than a chain restaurant. This place definitely delivers! We got chicken sandwiches (bbq and bacon and avocado) and they were so good! It was quality chicken with quality produce to compliment. We also got a side of garlic fries that were delicious however if I were to order them again I would ask for them well done because they did get soggy once the garlic was order. Since this is not a typical sit down,( you order at the front) we did have to much interaction with staff but in the short time we did, they were very pleasant and helpful! read more

This place is awesome even during Covid they are serving us well. My children enjoyed their meal as well as my father in law. They have Vegan options and I must say my father in laws burger did look and smell delicious. However, my lovely wife has us eating healthy and I must admire her self discipline. Both had good flavor and bread was good. Prices were fair at about $8-10 a burger/sandwich. Service was ok. Order at the counter and someone brings the food to your table. Eddie's Grill is a family friendly, very accommodating space. I went before the dinner rush so there was no wait at the counter or trouble finding a wooden booth. There are classic car paintings along the wall, they played country music and had all wooden seating throughout the place. The chicken chipotle wrap and French fries are both super delish! We order from Eddie's Lompoc fairly regular and it's always good. Today was awful! the tacos were thrown together with a single tortilla instead of doubled up and 2 shrimp on each one. Thanks to my fellow yelpers we tried this place. My dad has lived here for quite a long time and had not yet tried Eddie's. DEEE-LISH-OUS Burgers. The best in the Poke. The salads looked gigantic. The fries were somewhat thick but cooked crispy. Quite a variety of burgers to choose from. I personally had the Santa Barbara burger and it was fantastic. My dad had the hot cadillac burger and he was equally pleased. Soft buttered buns, charbroiled meat, and then the Fixin's. The charbroil made the burger. Our only complaint about this place was that it had one of those high ceilings and it was insanely loud. You could barely hear each other. Ok, two complaints.... it's pretty much fast food and they ask you if you want to tip them. Hit the wrong button and you go from "no thanks" to "thanks, let me give you an extra 20% more than I'd give at any other fast food place for.... pretty much nothing special", which we did, by mistake. Someone commented that there is free Wi-Fi here but I did not find that to be the case. If you're looking for a great burger or a huge salad in a place that is not a huge chain, this is definitely the place to go. read more

We did a quick search and Eddie's popped up .. we are so glad we found this place .. the Californian chicken sandwich was delicious. Eddie's Grill is located in the same plaza as CVS with plenty of parking. My husband and I decided to stop by here for a late lunch on a Friday around 1:45 pm. We walked in and sat ourselves. Looked over the menu and ordered at the register. Was given a number and our food was brought to our table, in which we ended up getting: Charbroiled Burger, $6.15 prior to tax- My husband wanted a burger and thought this was just what he wanted. The burger was tender and meaty, just what you would want in a good old fashion burger (nothing hipster here). Santa Barbara Cobb, $10.95 prior to tax. Bacon & Feta Cheese Requested On The Side- Since we have been on vacation, I really wanted a salad. I ended up giving my husband the bacon so he could add it to his burger and also gave him some of my avocado that he could add to it too. I only like a little bit of feta, thus asking on the side. Anyways, there was plenty of chicken on this salad that was perfectly seasoned and cooked perfectly. I liked this salad but did wish there were more of the dark green leafys instead of the romaine lettuce. ---------------------------- (Total= $18.43 after tax) Service was friendly and wait time wasn't too long for our food. I've been to the Eddie's in San Luis Obispo a few times and have always enjoyed it, so I decided to meet up with a friend at the original. I'm glad I did, the location in a strip mall is similar to the SLO location so it feel right. The cool cars on the walls is nice, the tall ceiling and overall vibe of the place is great. The staff immediately greeted me, I told them I wanted to order a beer but was waiting for a friend, they told me to grab it and pay later. So, that was very welcoming. Little did they know the friend I was waiting for was the owner of one of the cars on their walls. When we ordered, the staff was still super friendly, and unfortunately the name escapes me at the moment, but he knew my friend fairly well. I ordered their new pickle fries and the TOBE burrito with extra chicken and a side of their habanero sauce. By the way, the TOBE burrito is a hidden menu item coined by my friend who frequents the place... but check it out. Grillled chicken, cheese, cabbage, lettuce and their chipotle aoili, I am probably forgetting something, but it is damn good. I usually get their chipotle chicken wrap, santa barbara burger, or the spicy kick burger. In terms of how friendly, fast and good the food is, this is a great lunch spot. I was excited to discover them in SLO and it is great to see both locations are consistent with each other. After a beautiful day spent at the local mission, my husband and I were starving and looking for a bite to eat. Decided to give this place a try given the menu had something for the each of us. I went with the chicken ceasar wrap with a side of garlic fries. My husband went with the fish tacos. The chicken ceasar was delicious and came with some tortilla chips. The wrap could literally feed two people so I kept half of it for dinner. The garlic fries were okay but extremely oily....felt like my arteries were clogging up! My husband's fish tacos according to him tasted "very fishy" and he was not too pleased with his selection. As of 11/12/20 the restaurant had tables outside and inside that you could enjoy your food. Given it was quite crowded at 1:30 in the afternoon we opted to enjoy our meal in the comfort of our car.
