I was in Lompoc and I was heading out of town and wanted a quick bite but I wanted to hurry and leave the city. As I was coming up up constellation road I remembered a Orcutt Burger so I drove through and to my surprise it was Eddie's Grill. I drove up to the drive thru and a nice associate politely greeted me. I told this was my first time here and asked for a cheese burger and fries. She asked if I'd like any catsup, ranch or any other sauces and I said that was ok, I was thinking that I had to drive and I didn't want to be distracted trying to dip. A few minutes later she handed me this heavy bag and said she went ahead and gave me some ranch and catsup. Wow, those fries were enough for 2 or 3 people and that burger was huge. I was in the service business for most of my career before I retired. I know good and excellent customer service. Good customer service is, in my opinion, considered mediocre and could use improvement. A restaurant with the rating of good customer service may or may not get return customers. The Vandenberg Village Eddie's Grill stands apart when it comes to customer service. I consider them in the Excellent Customer Service realm! I go to Vandenberg Village Eddie's Grill at least once a week. I am always greeted like family. This is not an expectation I have, it's just how they treat their customers. Miguel, who is probably the hardest working employee I've ever met, encourages a very positive team approach and it shows in all of his employees. In terms of food, well, that's why we go there once a week. Everything we've tried is absolutely delicious, and you need to try the cilantro dressing! This location is hit or miss. Consistency needs a review. Thank you for customizing my burger by adding Chili but I did not ask for cheese. You also told me you would put it on the side. Surprise! It was good but I see why it's not a menu item. As for the garlic fries that I also ordered, they were stale. Somebody should of made an executive decision and just dropped a new order of fries. They were cold before I got home and I live down the street! I tried to save them by topping with shredded parm and throwing in the microwave. They said No. I could of turned around and took it back but I shouldn't have to. I've had better experiences at this location, so I'm not ready to give up yet. Please remove one of the "Fs" out of efffort and do better. That $18 meal was painful and the stakes are high in this economy. You've got to be best. read more

Went to visit my gf in the Lompoc area and we had lunch at Eddie's grill. It was really yummy! I got the chicken sandwich and some French fries. A little pricey but the quality made up for it. Their ranch is fantastic as well! Would def go again next time I'm in town and am looking to try something different and more adventurous! read more

I have to say this was really a good experience. When I walked in the door I was greeted with smiles and they were ready to take my order. The manager/owner. Always remembers me when I come in only been there a few times but every time the food has been excellent. The service is excellent and they really care that you leave happy. Arrived and told the woman at the counter I was picking up a phone order. She seemed confused and didn't react. Fortunately another employee was near and he reached over and took charge. Eh. First the gals at the front desk were very nice and the restaurant looks nice inside... but.. ordered a 10 dollar mushroom and gorgonzola burger, lettuce wrapped. It came, no fries are included by the way, thin has heck piece of meat and two thin pieces of lettuce, with, and I counted them as I ate them, maybe 5 slices of mushrooms and the cheese had an awful texture like it had been previously frozen and very chalky. I could have ordered a better meal at McDonalds for 10 dollars. My partner ordered a chef salad which was so so but the vinaigrette dressing was one solid piece of gel, so gross. Bathrooms were out of hand towels and trash all around the toilet area, just not addressed in several days is my guess. I used to really like Eddie's Grill, food was really good & somewhat affordable for my family. But the last couple times hasn't been very good at all. They no longer have ingredients they used to have for things like salads. Their prices have gotten really high, $11 for a kids meal! Especially when it's mostly fried food that come frozen from a bag. The last time we went for a couple order of fries, they were so soggy & tasted like they were fried in fish oil or something. I really want to love a burger spot in the village since it's close to home. This place just isn't it for me personally. My husband picked up lunch for us today and our burgers were cooked wellllllllll done. I hate that because there's zero flavor from the patty. Their ranch is good, and I enjoyed the amount of toppings I had on my burger. It's nice that a place actually puts cheese on their burger and doesn't make you pay a bunch of extra $ for it. Fries were way too salty. Garlic fries were alright. Customer service was good. Unfortunately, I don't think I will be back. And having a drive through at a spot that cooks things to order is a great thing to strive for, but I feel like theirs is always out of service and takes way too long. My mom waited 20mins the other day for a milkshake in their drive through. She was the only car. Maybe because the drive through wasn't working and she had to order it at the window? I don't know... Food is excellent and served is good. There are just a couple of issues, they have gotten super expensive. My visit tonight was approximately $60 for 3 burgers, 2 onion rings and an order of zucchini fries. Probably the worst value of my order was the zucchini fries. There was only about a dozen fries.
