Amazing fish sandwich with fries and gravy.
    Harrison G.

Great food and even better service. If you're looking for someplace that's fancy, this isn't it. If you're looking for great food, lots of it and fantastic service, look no further. This is what I think of when I think picture a true hometown diner. From the minute we walked in the door everybody treated us like long lost friends. We were probably the only table in the restaurant who weren't regulars because they addressed everyone by name, but they didn't make us feel like outsiders. We both had fish sandwiches and fries and it was amazing. The roll was perfectly toasted and the fish was hot and delicious. The waitress came back often to refill out coffee and always with a smile and a conversation. We we absolutely be back!

Amazing food! Great prices and best if all...the nicest employees! Glad we came all the way from Oswego to enjoy it!

Wasn't a fan of the Ribeye sandwich but the Chicken Sandwich was delicious, though the chicken was a frozen patty. The place from the outside is nothing to look at but opening the door you feel like you have literally stepped back in time. Menu is fairly extensive and clearly is a well known to the locals. They seem to do a pretty good take out business. Sign on wall indicates they sell home made pie but was too full for a slice. Would definitely come back for breakfast as this clearly has the potential to be good.

A consistent good food and service diner. The food has taste. The owner very friendly. This is an old real diner with a warm rustic feel. The mushroom omelette was amazing.

The diner is in an old train car!!

Absolutely LOVED the interior here. The decor is so perfect and retro. Be warned, pretty sure it is cash only. They do have an ATM machine. Parking is in the back.

Their soups are amazing. The smothered steak with sausage gravy is great. Everything they make is comfort food. Great service too.

Fantastic old school diner. Great food. Large portions. Don't let the exterior deter you. Go on in. It's worth it.

We visited over the weekend with friends who had dined there previously. Our 6:30 reservation was honored promptly upon arrival. The village setting is quaint, and the restaurant itself is warmly decorated--upscale enough to feel special but still relaxed and approachable. After being seated, our server presented the drink menu and specials. Our friends ordered the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer, along with the Steak Nicholas and the double smash burger. My wife selected the seafood special--a blackened salmon with lobster salad--while I opted for the Steak Nicholas as well. The food arrived in a timely manner and was everything was very good. My steak was perfectly cooked, complemented by the house Worcestershire sauce and compound butter. The fried green tomatoes were also well-prepared. The only disappointment at the table was the brown butter cake our friends ordered for dessert, which they found dry and lacking freshness. Where the experience fell short, however, was service. While our server was polite, she was difficult to find at times, leading to long waits for assistance. There was also some confusion when boxing up leftovers. The most significant issue arose when it was time to settle the bill. Our total came to $260, and we requested separate checks. Unfortunately, our server seemed very flustered and unsure of how to split the bill, and after some back-and-forth, she suggested dividing it evenly. We agreed simply to avoid further delay. However, when processing payment, the card charge came to $153 before tip--well above the correct half of the bill (approximately $130). Combined with our friends' $200 cash payment, the total ended up being $380, which inadvertently resulted in a very large gratuity - something we didn't realize until we had left the restaurant, as the confusion surrounding how to split the bill was frustrating and we simply wanted to head out. While we take responsibility for not carefully resolving the issue before leaving, the confusion around the bill frustrated us in the moment and left a negative final impression on an otherwise enjoyable meal. Overall: The food was excellent and worth trying, particularly the Steak Nicholas and seafood offerings. That said, service and billing procedures could benefit from improvement to ensure a smoother dining experience.

The friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere completed the experience. Nola's is definitely a top choice for anyone looking for great food and nice atmosphere to take your partner out on a date.

Great breakfast!…read more Annette's Lakeside Country Kitchen is a casual breakfast and lunch restaurant serving traditional American food, located adjacent to Lakeside Auction in Bernhards Bay. Enter the building through the main glass door and hang right for the restaurant, which behind a plain looking door. The bright dining room has close to 15 tables and seating at the counter. I stopped in at Annette's for breakfast recently. The place was steady with several groups of diners arriving for Sunday breakfast. Annette's seems like the place to be for locals from Constantia and Cleveland. I took a seat at an open table and the waitress arrived with menu. They had a few specials posted on the board and I ordered the Country Omelet Special ($9.99) and a glass of ice water. The food arrived hot 15 minutes later. The portion of food was filling, which was comprised of a folded soft egg sheet filled with shredded hash brown potatoes, sliced ham, onions, and topped with melted cheese (I chose pepper jack) and two thick slices of homemade buttered wheat toast, mixed fruit jam packets on the table. Breakfast was excellent and I barely finished my food. The service was courteous and I wasn't rushed. I would return here again if I happen to be traveling on NY 49 along the north shore of Oneida Lake.
